We were very disappointed with this property. The listing said it had central air which it did not, and at the beach central air is a must for us. The property also has a major ant infestation, we couldn’t put any food in the cupboards or leave out on the counter without ants getting into it. We lost a lot of food because of this. Also, the outdoor seating space had so much overgrown plants and stagnant water it was a breeding ground for mosquitoes. My young children and whole family have so many bites on them because of this, we couldn’t spend hardly any time out on the front porch because of this. There were also dangers within the house such as wires and electrical boxes hanging out, exit doors that wouldn’t open, thank goodness they were not needed but could be a problem if the main exit was blocked. Also, there is no parking with this property which was very difficult. Overall, we will NEVER stay here again and we will never recommend this property to anyone.

We're sorry this renter guest had a less than satisfactory experience renting our home. Since purchasing this Victorian home in 2021, we've made extensive renovations to many rooms in the home. We've refinished hardwood floors, refinished the beautiful outdoor front porch, and recently installed a new, slate roof as well. We've addressed the issues raised by that renter from last Summer, and we welcome any and all guests seeking to stay in a charming 144-year-old Victorian home just a block and a half from the Ocean.
The house is located in the perfect location! Two blocks from the beach and few blocks from Washington Mall. Property has new owners who are trying to get it up to par. Loved the outdoor shower which made cleaning sand off the kids much easier. The wrap around porch and backyard was also a hit and provided a space for adults to hang out after kids went to bed. Not the best house for small kids (< age 5) due to the decor (lots of beautiful pieces that speak to the Victorian time period) and the stairs.

Sharon and Joe fell in love with charming Cape May and wanted to be a part of the town. After looking for just the right place, they decided to purchase one of the original Victorian homes in town. You now have the opportunity to stay in this home built in 1879 with modern conveniences. Enjoy sitting on the large wrap around porch.
