The cozy village of la Chapelle St. Jean is close to Hautefort, with one of the most famous castles in the Dordogne and stores, restaurants and a lake for swimming and fishing. Périgueux, Montignac, Les Eyzies and the Dordogne Valley are all within 60 km. Many of the local villages have markets, one of the busiest being in Terrasson.

Lovely views across countryside, comfortable gite. We had perfect weather and the swimming pool was great with the heat, the owner comes daily to check/ clean the pool. Isolated location a few miles from Hautefort suited us for a quiet holiday
