Thank you so much for taking the time to review Methow Dog Cabin. We’re so pleased that you enjoyed your stay in the Methow Valley through Methow Reservations. We have served the valley with nightly rentals since 1984. We’d be happy to welcome you back again to Methow Dog Cabin!
We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property! It was perfect for our group of 6 adults for 2 nights while we hiked around the area. Clean and fully stocked with the basics to be expected!

Adorable mountain home near cascades and quaint Mazama.
Adorable home. Location and local community were awesome. Would stay there again. My only feedback is to consider upgrading the pillows and linens. Minor though and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Thanks for your comments and notes about the linens. Very much appreciated.
This was a lovely cabin for our trip to the North Cascades. The home was tidy and exactly as described! Our dog loved it as well. Can’t wait to return!
This was a perfect spot for our family! The setting is beautiful tucked into the woods for privacy and quiet, but still a convenient location right outside Winthrop. We stayed with our three little kids and my mom and sister and had plenty of room. Very comfortable and clean. Loved the deck and outdoor space! Would definitely stay again!
Nice secluded , private property. Very close to Cascades making it easy to go back and forth.
Nice porch to hang out, fireplace for cool nights.
Nice updated kitchen. Only one bathroom and it’s downstairs, that’s the only negative. Would I go back again if in the area? Absolutely! Great place for family.
My 1st trip to mountains of Washington & No Cascades was a dream. Our stay in this rental far exceeded expections. Very well stocked with spices, coffees & kitchen stuff. Close to stores & towns (Mazma & the ‘old west’ town of Winthrop). Great launching point for hiking & doing overlooks & even kayaking (Silverline Lakeside Resort). I had erred in booking our dates by 1 day. Owners were so reasonable & understanding in extending our stay while we were there. Definitely would book again!
Family getaway to see North Cascades NP.We love dogs but didn’t take them across the continent! In Maine, we would liken this cottage to “Upta Camp”. Mildly rustic, in the woods, and not much to do (that’s a good thing). I would recommend guests stock up on spices because the kitchen is sparse, although there is an espresso maker! A bear family walked right by our window first night there! Rental agency was very responsive to pick up trash since there is no bear proof receptacle available.

Glad you enjoyed your stay and got to see some of the locals passing by.
Rustic House
We loved the rustic charm and the woodsy location of this beautiful old house. The dog memorabilia made us smile and our pup feel very welcome. She was a little concerned about the stuffed bear, but they made fast friends. 🙃. Everything we could possibly need - and things we didn’t even think we needed - were available. An espresso machine was new for us and we enjoyed trying it out. We thought we would miss having a TV but didn’t, at all. The old Western town of Winthrop was an adventure, as well as the Farmer’s Market in Twisp. Lots of memories were made and we would love to return if ever in the area.

So glad you and your pup enjoyed your stay! Come again anytime!
Home was clean and had everything we needed. Do note that it does not have A/C. I should have noticed that in the listing before I booked it during a heat wave! My fault. Afternoon temp in the house was 89 degrees, and was still 78 degrees in the morning. Also note that the internet does not work with Apple devices. I know that sounds strange, but the owner told us to try a non Apple device and it worked just fine. Owner was responsive. Would definitely stay here again in the spring or fall.

Glad you were able to enjoy your stay despite the heat. Spring and fall are lovely times to visit! Happy to have you stay again.
The cabin is as described. We loved the location and relaxing setting, the deck was wonderful to sit and have meals. I didn't read close enough and thought there would be coffee/tea available at the cabin, but only the coffee makers with filters are provided. May seem small, but when you're up early to hike and the local store closes early and doesn't open until 7am...it becomes critical :) Just a suggestion but I would provide ground coffee or whole with grinder (keep in freezer) and tea as part of the basics provided to seal the cozy relaxing cabin in the woods experience.

What a beautiful quiet property!
We enjoyed the books and games and the well-appointed kitchen.
Close to all trails and Sun Mountain Lodge where we had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner. We were in awe to see the Milky Way above us!
Looking forward to returning to The Methow Dog House!
A nice rustic property in the trees with an awesome fireplace. Although not as close to the trailheads as the listing suggests it is still very close (15 to 20 minutes)to the trails in the Washington Pass Area and convenient to Winthrop. We would stay again.
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely cabin with us. It was so very charming and very clean! Everything exceeded our expectations. Property was lovely and very close to North Cascades and the cute little town of Winthrop. Comfortable beds, beautiful furniture and charming decor. Everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Thank you again.
Thank you for welcoming our furry family member! This cabin made getting away with the whole family, including our pup, so comfortable and fun! Great place.
