About this property
Nordic Village Cabin in the heart of Mazama
Summary:
Nordic Village Cabin is located right at the heart of Mazama, just across the road from the Mazama store and the Mazama Trailhead. This spacious cabin boasts cozy wooden interiors and alpine lodge accents with all modern appliances. The cabin is a 2 bed 2 bath home with a loft. Nordic Village can sleep up to 6 guests with use of the fold-out couches (one in the loft and the other in the living room). This purpose built vacation home is exceptionally well equipped and organised.
The Space:
The Nordic Village Cabin is a 2 bed, 2 bath vacation home. In addition to the 2 bedrooms, there are 2 queen size hideaway beds (however, the total number of guests allowed is limited to 6). The kitchen has a bar with seats for 5 and the dining room comfortably seats 6. The living room space has a gas fireplace and a smart TV. There is a full washer & dryer in the mud room. The property has a larger covered deck and a large covered patio with a bbq and space for outdoor dining on the picnic table. This purpose built vacation home is exceptionally well equipped and organised for vacation rentals; thoughtful features include air conditioning throughout, electric window shades, and even a back up generator
The Neighborhood:
The home enjoys a prime location just across the road from the Mazama store and the Mazama Trailhead. Its also a short walk from the Mazama Public House (opening Summer 2022). Grab a coffee and pastry before heading out on the ski trails, or enjoy a pint and tacos in the store's courtyard after a summer hike.
If you are heading into the North Cascades National Park, its a 23 minute drive to the Cutthroat Lake trailhead, 25 minutes to Washington Pass and 29 minutes to Maple Pass trailhead (*drive times according to google maps), making this a very convenient location for exploring the North Cascades National Park with its many world-class hiking trails. Great for beating the crowds and snagging a trailhead parking spot at peak seasons.
Getting Around:
Getting here: May to November, from Seattle and the westside, you can drive over State Route 20 and Washington Pass (check WSDOT for closures). Alternate, and winter routes from Seattle are via I90, Snoqualmie Pass and Bluett Pass, or via highway 2 over Stevens Pass (check WSDOT for driving conditions). Combine these routes and you have the scenic Cascade Loop. The nearest major airports are Spokane International Airport at 180 miles (year round) and Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (190 miles in summer / 260 miles in winter). Regional flights are also available at Pangborn Memorial Airport in Wenatchee located 102 miles away.
Other Things to Note:
EXTRA GUESTS AND MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY
FOUR guests are included in the nightly rental rate, additional guests are charged at $25 per person per night. Maximum occupancy is 6.
*Pets are NOT allowed.
*Please note there is no access across neighboring properties to the river. The cabin is a short walk to the Mazama trailhead hub which offers multiple recreation trail options.
