The Pioneer House is a unique survivor from Vermont’s earliest days. 100% solar powered (panels located on owner’s nearby farm) with zero carbon footprint. This classic center chimney cape, sitting on 12 acres, has been fully and lovingly restored, preserving the best of the old with state of the art all new heating and AC, along with a custom kitchen and 1.5 baths. The property also has a new deep artesian well. The 2 bedrooms feature comfortable, new queen sized beds with quality bedding and linens.
This newly renovated home built in 1794 has much of the original restored interior intact. Kitchen features granite countertops and custom maple cabinets. Access to upstairs bedrooms is by a steep stairway (10 steps.) This house is not suitable for small children or those who have difficulty climbing stairs. Beautiful backyard with fire pit and gas grill. Please note, the interior fireplaces may not be used by renters (prohibited by insurance company.) Property has high speed fiber optic internet. There is one external security camera on driveway side of house. We have a strict maximum of 4 guests in this rental.
