The place was as pictured, it was very nice looking at the water from the back. It is a great place to stay for your up north traveling. Would stay again. Thank you Jay for allowing us to rent your place
The rustic feel of this cabin, inside and out, is a true Pure Michigan getaway. The peaceful and serene natural beauty surrounding it adds to the experience. We went during beautiful Fall colors but I imagine it's perfect in any season. Jay is a good host, always ready to answer any questions. Would highly recommend.
We stayed 3 nights over Presidents’ Day weekend. Would have preferred staying closer to the ski resorts. It all worked out. We skied at Boyne highland on day one.(35 min drive). On day 3 we skied at Boyne mountain(on the way home downstate)
Stayed 3 nights in Feb 2023

Fast responses, respectful of the property. Thank you Matt.
Enjoyed the cabin as we used as our launchpad for different day trips; 30 min to Mackinac and 30 min to Petoskey. To improve, leave notes on how to run washing machine, that gave us trouble.
The cabin is located next to the river, giving a very good vibe.
Jay has taken care that the cabin is equipped with everything that a traveler may need - toothbrushes, oils, ziplocs, grocery-bags and many other things.
We had a comfortable stay.
Perfect spot a 1/4 mile from town but felt like you were way out in the Forrest. Very clean cabin. Love that past renters have left items in the past. i.e. spices etc. as we did. Only improvement I can suggest is some more comfortable beds. ( we are spoiled with our sleep number at home). Strongly suggest this cabin to anyone looking for someplace up north and on a river. We ate at a couple places just south of Indian River. Two Wheel bar and Thirsty Sturgeon. Great food at both.
