We can’t say enough about the comfort and coziness of our stay. From the ease of booking, to the location, and the beautiful property. The Eddy will be our yearly place to stay.
We had a lovely stay at The Eddy! The property is conveniently located to downtown Stowe and absolutely gorgeous. It's clear the owners take great pride in the property and we had a total blast. We would absolutely recommend the property and will look forward to a future stay.
What a cozy, lovely home for Christmas time. The owner was responsive and easy to communicate with. It was a beautiful home, and we very much enjoyed our visit!
The Eddy is a well-appointed, beautiful home located on a tranquil lot with gorgeous views of the Green Mountains and a cold water brook and waterfall running through the property. My family gathered at The Eddy to reflect and spend time together after losing our father/grandfather . Therefore, it will always have a special place in our hearts.
We had a wonderful week at the Eddy, the house was even better in person than the photos! The house itself was great and the property and location is unbeatable. There’s a ton of good food nearby in Stowe and Waterbury and more breweries than we could visit in a week.
The host was great as well. We had one issue that we told them about as we left for breakfast and it was taken care of by the time we got back.
I wish we could have stayed longer!
The Eddy was an absolutely wonderful home to celebrate Christmas with family and friends!
The Eddy is so well appointed with any necessary amenities one would expect, but also included so many thoughtful extras that made our stay so fun and memorable. The location to Stowe mountain was super convenient for skiing/snowboarding during the day, and a relaxing, cozy home to celebrate the day/evening with home cooked meals, cocktails and wine.
Thank you so much for sharing your stunning home with us!
Happy New Year!
Brian
An amazing property, and wonderful hosts! We had a great stay over Memorial Day weekend - biked right from the house, and got in two local hikes in one day. Village of Stowe is just a few minutes away where we hit a few restaurants, shops, and of course picked up a treat or two at the Alchemist (not to be missed if you're into beer). We also checked out Von Trapp Brewery of course, which spurred an amazing amount of yodeling among our crew - ages 5 to 60+! Liz is a wonderful host - she left us a welcome note, local samples (yum), with ideas of things to do. We especially enjoyed the views from the house (best forced family fun I've ever enjoyed... we all left with our own watercolor rendition of the view!). Smores and long talks by the fire, and the comfiest beds I have EVER experienced in a VRBO home... this place is surely a gem...

Bridget could not have been a lovelier guest! Her group was very respectful of our home and left it in great condition. Great communication throughout – she was responsive and even sent us a text after she left to let us know how great of a time her crew had. Bridget was kind enough to leave a note in our guest book sharing some of the memories they were able to make at The Eddy, which was a treat to read. Would absolutely rent to her again.
"The Eddy" is an awesome rental home that is close enough to Stowe to be convenient but far enough away to give you some privacy and peace and quiet. My wife and I had a wonderful time during our stay and enjoyed the many amenities that The Eddy had to offer including the heated floors, gas fireplace in the kitchen, gourmet chefs kitchen, and the wood burning stove. The house is overall amazing and has such great character. Liz and Taylor are wonderful hosts and responded very quickly to any questions or requests. This is one of the few rentals were firewood for the wood stove was provided. The house is really well maintained and has huge windows that overlook scenic countrysides. There is also an awesome waterfall and stream just a few steps from the side porch. We didn't go for a swim cause there was snow and ice everywhere. The house is really well located being close enough to Stowe to go out for drinks and dinner and close enough (20ish minutes) to the ski resorts and lifts to be able to get on the mountains and runs quickly. Overall, this house was amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a little more seclusion with great accessibility!
We loved our month-long stay at this gorgeous home - with great views of the mountains. The Eddy is elegantly finished and the kitchen is well stocked. The location was perfect - giving us easy access to Stowe, Morrisville and Elmore.
Liz was a great host - very responsive and resolved our small maintenance issue immediately.
Thank you!
Every detail of this rental was luxurious and welcoming for our family of 5. The pictures accurately represented the house (which is not always the case!) and the waterfall was even more beautiful in person. We enjoyed relaxing on the deck and playing in the creek, although due to the weather we spent most of our time indoors. The wood stove in the living room made our cold, rainy days cozier. There was plenty of room for finding separate spaces and a well planned common area for family time. We all loved the bathrooms; especially the indulgent soaking tub on the 2nd floor.
Our one minor issue was the coffeemaker: it takes forever to brew and could use a good cleaning.
Overall a relaxing and welcoming home away from home. We're hoping to come back in the warmer months or during ski season.
The Eddy was a beautiful base camp for exploring Vermont! Owner communication is easy & very responsive. The house is thoughtfully designed & decorated & we didn’t want for anything while there- the owners have stocked the kitchen, bar ware, board games, you name it- it’s there! We loved morning views of the mountains from the kitchen & master bath and soft-light evening views of the Christmas tree & decorated gas fireplace. We would have loved to use the fire pit outside but weather didn’t cooperate so we’ll just dream of coming back in a warm season!
