Beautiful location with gorgeous views, wonderful places to sit and watch the birds and barges. A lovely garden with hummingbirds and butterflies, and a fenced in yard perfect for our dogs. How fun to get to travel with your dogs and stay in this special place. We appreciated the binoculars and telescope and how immaculately maintained the hot tub was. My 92 year old mother appreciated that she could stay on the first floor with access to a bathroom and could navigate easily with only a couple of stairs. We were in town for a wedding and this was a perfect solution for our family.
We loved our stay here! The vibe totally worked for our group. The decor, the layout, the location were all perfect. Looking forward to staying here again in the future.
We were in town for a wedding and really enjoyed our stay at this property. Very peaceful setting on the lake. The house was very clean and thoughtfully decorated. Alot of time has been spent collecting items to decorate with. Would stay here again!
We had some trouble getting into the home with the keypad but the host was very helpful once we got a hold of her. The house is very clean and updated, our.only complaint was that there is simply too much decor. The house is not accessible for those with mobility issues, a step to the bedroom on the main floor. My mom had a hard time getting around with a walker. Showers are tight but beds are comfortable. Note...there are multiple steps to get to the river. We enjoyed the kayaks!

I have very accurate pictures listed for any guest to view. I have stated that as an artist I have many friends in the local artistic community and I cater to it. I put their talented work in the home for guests to enjoy. They have come in and helped me decorate. I believe an appreciation for the arts has to be taught at a young age. If you did not get that during your young years you may be one of the “plain and simple” crowd and not appreciate the work that was put into the house and art. I put lots of pictures up and narrative and then I leave it to guests to do the self reflection and book something plain and simple if that is what is desired. If you would like have your senses filled with creativity please book my location. I’ve gotten many notes in my guest book from people telling me they are going home with new ideas and they are filled with inspiration. That is what drives and uplifts me and my artist friends. If you are the person who needs sparse and simple but you want the hot tub too…..I’m sorry but you can see the pictures. You can’t fault me if you choose to book anyway. My life will never been in the simple and sparse. I don’t know how to do that.
This home was perfect for our 2 night stay. Has everything you need and a ton of character. The artwork and furnishings were so unique and the view CANNOT be beat! Very clean and Kim was very responsive with our questions.
My family and I had a wonderful stay! Check-in was smooth, the house and yard were clean, and the home itself was beautiful. We really appreciated how much was provided for us—you truly don’t need to bring a lot with you. We also loved that the property is dog-friendly!The paddle boat was so much fun, and we brought river tubes and spent time floating on the lake, which was a great experience. The lake is only about 2.5 feet deep, so you can stand in most areas, but it is VERY mucky. I definitely recommend bringing water shoes.A few things to be aware of: we weren’t particularly impressed with the beach area. There were quite a few large rocks and sticks sticking out of the ground, so I wouldn’t consider that area especially kid- or dog-friendly. There were also a few spots where you could sink into the sand, and we noticed some poison sumac. Please be very careful if you walk down to the lake through that area. The hot tub was clean and enjoyable. There were quite a few spider webs around the deck and a little dust around the house, but nothing that took away from our stay. The beds were comfortable, which was a big plus!Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed our stay. The house had so much to offer, and we loved being able to relax, enjoy the lake, and spend quality time together. We would definitely consider staying here again!
What the host, Kim, does not tell you prior to your stay: 1) There is a 30 minute lockout if you make an error on the keypad entry which has 4 touch circles with 3 numbers in each that change and revolve; but we found an unlocked door that made our entrance wary.2) The photos of the inside of the house do not represent the current multitudes of eclectic items placed in all rooms and surfaces including many foot switch extension cords. We called it "a booby trap for the young and elderly". With all the decor, fabrics, & frills, if one is sensitive to dust or has allergies, this place is not for you. 3) If there are fewer than 6 guests, but you want 4 beds, as listed, you must notify Kim for her to prepare that 2nd twin bed.4) The main floor BR windows have no window treatments for privacy! 5) There is a floor transition of approximately 2-3 inches step down to a small hallway. It is difficult to see because it is carpeted. This is a safety issue especially for toddlers or one with ambulation challenges. Most importantly, Kim showed no concern for the wellbeing of a guest when informed of a stumble off that floor transition. I had many messages with Kim post rental concerning a new frame purchase. Kim's replies were defensive & condescending. I felt disrespected. Kim did not send me a copy of the frame purchase I requested, nor did she verify my request for measurements of the print & matte which would've enabled me to select a reasonably priced frame for her approval.

Joan and her friends came and were not happy as soon as they got there. My pictures are very accurate. There were 4 of them. 4 ladies. I have 1 king bed, 1 queen bed and 1 bedroom with a day bed that pulls out to a king. I never advertise 4 bedrooms. If they each wanted their own area they did not say so and should have booked accommodations for that. They broke a picture and admitted it. I told them I would be filing the claim. I did it as cheaply as I could. I am not required to allow her to pick it the replacement. I sent her the receipt and she kept arguing with me. I did the work to reframe myself to keep the cost down and she still was not happy. If I had taken to a professional framer it would have been her whole deposit. This is all about retaliation. As far as locking herself out….. not one guest has ever had a problem but then again most people are relatively up to date on technology. My location is showcasing local artistic talent in the area. I advertise this. If you are a plain and simple person you should book plain and simple. Clearly this is what 4 ladies of a “certain age” needed. Some self reflection might have helped here.
The property was amazing and we had everything there that we could have ever wanted. Plus, the host/hostess were awesome too!
We will definitely be going back there!
