This house is a hidden gem in a quiet neighborhood, perfect for families. Relax on one of two large decks or the balcony off the master suite. Kayak through the beautiful canopy of trees in the Assawoman Canal. Enjoy a day at the beach and then chill out in either the Jacuzzi or soaking tubs in one of the two master baths.

Cosy beach house

Our family of five - including two kids and a dog - enjoyed our time at the beach. The house was a great place to rest for all. Being just two miles from Bethany Beach, we rode our bikes into the town to walk around and along the canal trail just a few minutes from the house. The dog friendly beach is just a ten minute drive away so all members of the family could enjoy a day out in the sand! Thanks for a cozy, clean and inviting home for us to stay.

Our first thought when entering the property was "WOW!!! This place is clean!!!" I (the grandma) claimed the downstairs bedroom while the 3 kids (the 2 grands and 1 friend) and the other 2 adults (the parents) scurried upstairs to claim theirs. We LOVED this house...it was perfect for the 6 of us. Of course the kids had to try out the kayaks in the canal and batted the volleyball across the net a few times. The kitchen was adequately stocked for our cooking needs. The location was beautiful and quiet. We would come back to this house again!!!

Wonderful Thanksgiving Family Visit

Our family had a lovely stay here for Thanksgiving. We are 4 adults, 5 kids ages 10 to 15 and 1 dog (Labrador). We all had plenty of room, privacy, and comfort. We ate all meals at the home, and the dishwasher had no problem keeping up with our 2-3 loads a day. Our favorite parts were the 2 living areas (great for folks to watch tv in 1 area and others to read or talk in the other), the canal and kayaks, and the play set and volleyball net. Plenty to do and entertain the kids. We enjoyed walking the dog on the trail parallel to the canal. Everything worked great: heat, kitchen appliances, plumbing, internet, tv’s. One part of the house is an addition, and the older part has furnishings with a more dated style (green bathroom tiles, etc), but everything was clean and functional. I had several questions before arriving, and the owner responded promptly and helpfully. The setting was private, and we were very comfortable in the neighborhood which was kept up nicely. We drove to the beach once but would have gone more if visiting at a warmer time of year. Canal was easy enough for tweens to kayak on their own. Linens were clean and seemed new. Only complaint is that several light bulbs were out which is an easy fix. Recommend staying here for a peaceful retreat with its own backyard space and canal.

Family reunion!

This house is not to be missed . It has a beautiful, well stocked kitchen and a large dining room table for nightly dinner, games and puzzles. Plenty of room for 3 generations to spread out. Big windows and lots of cozy places with pillows and throws for relaxing and reading after a day at the beach. Our host was kind and gracious. She answered our many questions and had a very prompt response to any concern. We enjoyed this peaceful, quiet haven to rest, relax and catch up with our family. We will be back.

Situated in a lot full of mature trees and along the canal (perfect for kayaking), but also only 2 miles to the beach, this property is the best of so many worlds! Wonderful, respectful neighbors.

Canal front with kayaks available for use. Unique A-frame architectural style makes for a quirky and fun interior. Several hand painted murals inside make for great conversation pieces for the family!
