The house was perfect for my family. Very clean, roomy and well appointed. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. We will stay there again.
This classic, craftsman home was beautiful, and the perfect setting for our 4 night stay. The three bathrooms were a plus as 5 of us were getting ready for the day at the same time. It was Thanksgiving, so we opted to cook our own Thanksgiving feast in the home. All we could say is “WOW”, this kitchen has everything we could possibly need, and then some! The bar/glassware selection was exceptional, and had everything we needed. Centrally located, we could be almost anywhere in the city within 10 minutes.
The home was tastefully decorated without losing its historical charm. We did have a few issues but the owner was very responsive and took great care in getting the issues resolved quickly. The location was great and close to everything.
We arrived at the home for our stay for the World Police and Fire Games. The property manager was great at communicating and with the different rooms spouses of our players were able to join us seamlessly. Area was great and easy to get around. Thanks very much!
The home was perfect for our stay. It has 3 separate sleeping areas and large living rooms and kitchen. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the house to others.

Thank you for being a great guest, Jeff! So glad yall enjoyed your stay.
Overall great home, plenty of space and beds slept really good. Only issue was not enough curtains and privacy. If we had men with us great, but it was just women and not enough curtains. Very scary at nights because you really dont know if someone is watching or not. Bathroom no curtain made us definitely feel uncomfortable, so definitely would suggest more curtains for privacy.
We had a lovely stay at this vacation rental… with so many beautifully decorated rooms and plenty of room for our family of five to enjoy the weekend. The house was also centrally located to all our needs for a wedding weekend, so we found it very easy to get around within a short period of time. What we didn’t realize about the home, was that it only had one functioning bathroom for showering/bathing (the other upstairs tub had no handles and wasn’t clean… and the bathroom had no door!). We also wish there has been a room with a tv other than the master bedroom, as our family likes to watch tv in the evening. The house was generally in good shape, but there were a couple of large cobwebs, the master rug was very dirty and the front porch furniture had too much pollen on it to sit outside. A few tweeks would make it a wonderful stay!!
This is a large older home with a lot of charm. It's great for 6 people. Plenty of room for individual reading/TV watching. We stayed during some of the warmest summer weather but were not disappointed in the modern cooling system. The 2nd floor affords little privacy. Just FYI - it's beautiful and comfortable but one bed is out in the open and there is no door/screen/curtain on the bathroom. There are few window coverings, too, which bothered us but maybe not everyone. Bring your own extra paper products & laundry detergent. The neighborhood is quiet and seems safe. Had the weather been a bit cooler, it's walkable to the university.
Lovely wood floors. Tastefully decorated. Some beautiful fireplaces, ceilings, special touches, etc. comfortable beds. Enjoyed the central location and artsy neighborhood near UAB. The host was very responsive and helpful! Would love to return.
This house is charming and well kept with many of the quirks that come with older houses. It has a large well equipped kitchen so were were able to cook some meals. It worked for our needs, a couple with 3 adult children, but lacked some privacy. It would have been good to know that the upstairs bath is open to the bedroom with no door, so the downstairs bath is the only one that is really private. Also the semi-private bedroom is a bed in an alcove with no 4th wall or door.
This house had plenty of room to gather together and for the teenagers to have their own space upstairs. Location to downtown was perfect. Morgan was quick to respond when there was a problem that arose with the heat, and had someone out right away to fix it. We had a great time and wish we could have stayed longer.
