Beautifully renovated half-duplex in a historic Birmingham neighborhood.
The Honeysuckle House has been a very successful Vacation Rental for more than 4 years with over 315 * 5 star reviews. While we are the new owners, we aim to provide the same exceptional service and hospitality. See previous reviews in the photo gallery.
Sleeps up to 8 guests — perfect for families and groups
Prime location: close to UAB, downtown, Garage Cafe & Bar, and top restaurants
Living Room: large sectional, 65" TV, board games, desk, and craft supplies for kids
Kitchen: fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, cookware, spices, Keurig & coffee pot (pods & grounds provided), and a large dining table
Laundry: washer and dryer included with detergent and dryer sheets
Bedrooms (upstairs):
Master: California king with memory foam mattress, large closet, TV
Second: Queen bed with memory foam mattress, TV
Third: Twin bed + extra twin airbed, dresser (perfect for kids)
Bathrooms: stocked with essentials (shampoo, conditioner, body wash)
Downstairs: bathtub/shower combo
Upstairs: shower only
City noise note: close to the highway — earplugs and sounds machine provided for a peaceful sleep
Parking: free street parking (can be busy near Garage Cafe/Bar)
Pet-friendly: $50 per pet - Must be up to date with vaccinations and no fleas.
Guest access
You will access the house from the patio and go to unit A. You will be provided with a specific 4 digital code that will only work during your stay.

This house is not designed to have parties or gatherings. If you plan to have a party, this is not the house for you. If there are more guests than on the reservation amount and we are told there are large gatherings/parties, your reservation will be immediately canceled. We have a zero tolerance policy for parties.
- This property has special local compliance requirements which include a signed rental agreement, ID verification, and a security hold of $1000 (which is not a traditional security deposit, just a pending transaction). As an optional alternative to the security hold, you may opt in to purchase a non-refundable damage waiver provided by a third-party insurance company. Damage waiver purchases are optional. The optional damage waiver is $39 for stays up to 10 nights, with an additional $2 per day for stays longer than 10 nights.
To make this process easy for you, we use a secure and very simple, app-free platform called Happy Guest. It is not an app, and you do not have to sign up for an account - it’s a safe and secure website. It also gives you a guest portal with all the info about the home and all of my favorite local spots.
