Hi Folks. Here is my scoop as a Vrbo host. My home at the beach is a short term vacation rental (STR). I hold a license to rent it; there are licensing agreements and policies that I must adhere to, so that I can share the place with vacationers. I will be asking each person who inquires, to read short .pdf files I send, so you (the guest) knows what the expectations are in this beach community, as well as the regulations that govern the county.
My home is in unincorporated Lincoln County, Oregon. A very popular area! My home is in a quiet, rural location with less traffic, less noise (except the sea and gulls) and less lighting. All the local residents like it this way and tolerate guests who are considerate of the ambiance. Thus I ask for a written response, from all inquirers, that they have read my short and straightforward "rules" and will honor them when visiting. They are not hard to follow. No partying, no extra people, no extra cars, no excess noise, no smoking, no cooking crab in the house, no pets, no blocking mailboxes, etc, etc. Once you have read the files I send, and respond that you have read them, I can finalize your reservation. Be sure to read the rental agreement. A bit redundant of the .pdf files, but captures a few other issues.
