First, let me say that the interior of this cabin/home is clean, updated and has a warmth about it without it being too much of a mountain cabin feel (sorry but I think the mountain bear pictures, mugs, plates, rugs, hat racks, and bedspreads are over used).
This is a single level cabin that has an easy entrance (no stairs) from the yard/parking area to the front door. This was important for my 86 year old mother who has difficulty with steps. She was very comfortable here! The layout of the kitchen, dining room and gathering place encourages everyone to come together or, if they prefer, to find a quiet place. The deck off of the kitchen is great for enjoying morning coffee and looking at the pretty mountain creek on the property. Each bedroom is well decorated, comfortable beds. The one bathroom is very large.
The location, just off highway 107, will allow you to easily get to all the fun and interesting places in and near Glenville (lake, mountain trails, waterfall trails, visiting WCU, shopping and dining in Cashiers, etc.)
Karen was a great host and was very responsive.

Dear Cathy,
I am so happy you enjoyed your stay!
You must be thinking of different rental home.
We do not have any Bear pictures, mugs, plates rugs, hat rack nor bedspreads:)
I hope you return soon and often. We love the mountains and enjoy sharing!
Thanks,
Karen
Woke up to someone getting something from the property (supposedly an employee of the owner who ALSO paid us a visit). This followed by loud banging early in the am!
The water went out so we were unable to shower or make breakfast. Owner was unresponsive when I brought this up after the stay. Non-accommodating host!
I really fell in love with this place. The back porch overlooking a little brook made for some great mornings. We loved it. Everything we needed. Fireplace was awesome. Place was great.
The cottage was perfect for our two adult family couples and grandson. The suffleboard and fuz ball were a hit. Gift bowl of Marshmellos, chocolate bars, and graham crackers was a nice treat that we enjoyed at fire pit on night. Good communication with host. Highly recommend for a stay near Cashiers.
This was a beautiful home with all we needed for some time with family. Plenty of room to hang out in the living area with a fire going. Great amenities in the kitchen for cooking a meal together. We loved it.
The house was clean, comfortable and just right for my husband and I to explore the Cashiers/ Glenville area and celebrate my birthday.. The house is right off the a two lane Hwy, but the inside of the house provides a relaxing buffer from any afternoon or morning cars passing by. The back porch and stream provide a good outdoor area to relax, and while we didn’t get around to trying out the fire pit, it’s in a serene setting right by the small stream in the backyard. A good size for a couple or a couple and 2-3 kids ( one queen, one full and a set of twin bunks) The kitchen, bathroom and great room all exceeded our expectations. Well thought out touches throughout the house, including extra towels, TVs in each bedroom, hair dryer, soap, paper towel starter, coffee filters, and even a foos ball table. The shower was especially wonderful! We would return if staying in the area :) very clean & comfy beds!

Great home
This house was super cute and comfy. My son got married at Sawyer Farms and we couldn’t have had a better location! It is very well stocked with everything you might need. I had a little problem with checking in but was able to get in touch with the property manager quickly, just a little scary since I didn’t have any check in info. The only negatives that I have is the coffee pot was so small- we are major coffee drinkers😁 and the Roku did not have channels available- but how much TV do you watch in the mountains?? I highly suggest this house, it is close to the highway but you would not know it when you went inside!! Would love to go back up to that area and would stay again!!
The location was great, the house was small but lovely, deer were often in the back or side yard. When we had a problem with the water on Friday night, John came over the next morning and straightened it out on a Saturday morning. We had a great time!
Wonderful house. Everything is new and super clean. Boys really enjoyed the shuffle board and foosball tables. Very convenient to the marina and a short easy drive into Cashiers.
Had a great time. Property newly redone. Super clean. All as described. Had fun with the shuffleboard and foosball tables. Very complete kitchen. Enjoyed the fire for s’mores in the fire pit. I was worried about noise from the next door business and road, but that wasn’t a problem at all. Beach on Lake Glenville only five minutes away which we enjoyed- easy parking and very clean. Next time will plan ahead and reserve a boat from one of the marinas less than five and ten minutes away. Ingles grocery store had lots of options and only 12 minutes away. We wanted flat short hikes and enjoyed Silver Run Falls and Dry Falls, with lunch next to the creek at Pinky Falls (all on AllTrails app). Great value for Cashiers area and would stay here again because of this.
