At an elevation 4940 ft, this cabin provides amazing mountain views from the back deck. This cabin is off the beaten path, remote - a getaway from the insanity. It's quiet, in the middle of nature, where you will experience nature and wildlife. Between April and September, hummingbirds visit throughout the day. The remoteness of the cabin is balanced by a 20 minute drive to downtown Cashiers and 10 minutes to Lake Glenville. Relax and enjoy the peaceful quietness. You will fall immediately in love with this property as soon as you step on the deck. The view is just breathtaking. Once you arrive; breathe, relax and rejuvenate. Kitchen is stocked with utensils, cookware, and all dishware/glassware needs, with a newly added crock-pot and outdoor gas grill! Bring your own food and you won't have to leave for your entire vacation!!
Sorry, no smoking or pets allowed. The cabin is located on a climbing 2-mile gravel road.

This stay was the perfect spot for our family to unwind. The home is beautiful, very comfortable, and has all the expected amenities...but the stunning mountain views elevate this stay (pun intended) to the next level! Checkin was easy and the home was very clean. Our only complaint is that we could not stay longer. Thank you Ellen!
My wife and I celebrated our 23rd anniversary at this cabin (house). It was well worth the 2 mile gravel mountain road to get to it. Best view of the NC mountains we’ve seen. The house was exactly what we needed. Clean, cozy, and just the right size. We’ll be back!
This was the best cabin we’ve ever rented! Ellen and Todd are super hosts. The cabin is beautiful, clean and with more amenities than we could have imagined. Comfortable furniture and bedding and the kitchen has everything you could need. Wonderful deck with spectacular sunrises! Would love to come back. Really did hate to leave. Ellen is a super host.

Everything from the minute we booked went perfect! Ellen couldn’t have been more accommodating and timely in her communication. If you want to see God’s amazing artwork this is the place to see it! The cabin was perfect for our family and had lots of unique amenities that added a special touch we won’t forget! Loved everything from the welcome bottle of wine to the backpack cooler that came in extra handy! Dry shampo was a nice touch for lazy days too! Would book this cabin again in a heartbeat! Thanks Ellen and Todd!
The ever changing and awe inspiring view from this cabin makes it unique. It’s worth the 2 miles of steep but well-maintained gravel road. The cabin was clean; the kitchen was furnished with everything we needed (we ate one meal out in a week), and the furnishings were comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised to discover an entrance close to the kitchen that didn’t require going up stairs. We hope to return and bring more family. However, the spiral staircase is a hazard that will never be elderly-friendly. If you are over 70, you should know that the tub in the master and the upstairs shower lack grab bars and non-slip stickers. There are no instructions about operating the TV or VCR and reception was spotty. But it’s really all about the view! We loved it!
This cabinet did not disappoint. The views from the front porch are breathtaking. The owners have put so much thought into every detail of making the cabin cozy. There was plenty of firewood available, a wide variety of coffee for the coffee bar and warm blankets to snuggle with on cold nights. We also loved the board games and books provided for entertainment. The loft was perfect for a kids retreat. The cabin was very clean and well kept. The welcome gift was the cherry on top.
The week long stay was just about perfect. The view was breathtaking and the house was great. The house was very well stocked with every thing you might need both in the kitchen and the rest of the house. The TV gave us a little trouble but we found what we needed. We loved our stay and hope to come back.
This cabin is exactly as advertised, it was fantastic. The elevation gave us solitude, quiet, cool evenings (July), and views for miles.
We spent hours hanging out as a family, playing games, and enjoying the view. The cabin does sit a bit off the main road, but you quickly get used to that and it did not impact our activities at all. Happ's restaurant is at the bottom of the hill at the main road, it also is fantastic, and was a great place to order some wood fired pizzas on short notice.
My wife and I have been renting places in and around the Cashiers area for several years and this house immediately became our favorite weekend getaway. The house was clean, very comfortable, really everything was tremendous. The view from the porch is what really sets the house apart, so exhilarating to relax and have a drink taking in the fantastic view on the mountains. While getting to the home takes a few extra minutes up and down winding gravel roads, it's not really an issues and well worth it. Hope to have the chance to visit again.
Incredible view, well appointed, super secluded. Fortunately we had a four wheel drive. Beautiful, clean well furnished cabin. Very clean, comfortable bed and well stocked kitchen. We will be back. The welcome bottle of wine was wonderful.
Everything was amazing. This is the first time staying at a cabin in the mountains and it was just the best experience I ever had. The cabin itself was amazing, so clean and it has the proper essentials to make meals. The view is amazing I was outside on the deck most the time just watching the view and birds flying. The road up to the cabin was worth it, loved seeing the cows and horses. It was amazing I just wanted to stay there because I couldn't get enough of it.
We enjoyed our stay so much! The property had one of the most incredible views I’ve ever seen! It was such an adventure getting to the top of the mountain where the cabin was secluded with so much privacy. The cabin was so well kept, very clean, had a fully stocked kitchen and lots of amenities!! You could immediately tell how much the owners have put into the property. I highly recommend and cannot wait to visit again! I would recommend having a 4wd vehicle and also if you plan on eating out I would call ahead to see what is open.
Such a wonderful place!
