The house was amazing and perfect for our family. Terry was an excellent host. very responsive and provided us with great information before our stay. I would highly recommend and if we find ourselves in Paris once again it'll be the first place we check to stay.

Great escape in the countryside. Less than 10 minute drive from a small city with everything you need, but isolated and quiet.

Lovely place

We very much enjoyed our stay in Terry's house, wonderful old town house, hidden from the busy streets. Lots of nice places around to eat, shop at the fresh market etc.

Location and Terry are great!

Excellent location with lots of cafes etc close by. Metro station is at the end of the block. Terry is an excellent host and is immediately responsive to any needs. We had a wonderful stay!

Wonderful home and great location and neighborhood! Just be aware that only bathrooms are on top 2 floors, and each is off of one bedroom, so be aware of sharing space.

Wonderful Time in Paris

This was a work/family vacation and the property was perfectly situated for this. It was literally steps from the Line 1 Metro and in a wonderful neighborhood with some really nice restaurants. We had breakfast every morning at Gustave’s and were treated like locals. The host Terry was absolutely wonderful to work with and he shared his knowledge of the neighborhood. We would be happy to stay here again the next time we come to Paris.

Paris trip

Terry was very helpful and lives on the property close by. The M1 train station Porte Maillot station is a 2 minute walk and you can get to most places using that line.

Quiet and spacious

Terry was a wonderful host! We had two families stay with more than enough room. So much character, it was amazing to wake up to beautiful crown molded ceilings. So quiet, even with 2 full families we couldn’t hear each other unless the bedroom doors were open. So easy to get around the city. Would book again for sure!

1 word, BEDBUGS. Bedbugs the size of the end of my index finger. We get to the apartment in the middle of a heatwave and it was mostly uninhabitable due to the heat. The third floor was completely uninhabitable for the first 2 days until thebowner put some portable units there. My wife and I decided to move into thebupstairs bedroom at that point to give our children more space. I laid in the main bedroom bed for no more than 10 minutes, when I felt something strange on the back of my neck. I reached back and grabbed a bug big enough to squish between my thumb and forefinger. I leapt out of the bed and looked down at the pillow and there were multiple bedbugs on the pillow, I pulled the covers back and they were everywhere. It was traumatizing and unbelievable! Beyond that, we had to move locations immediately the following day, because this discovery happened at 3 AM. We have 5 children. We had to move twice. I'm still fighting with vrbo to get the money back that I had to spend up front because of this move. And the owner, with FULL knowledge of my family situation and proof provided of the bedbugs REFUSED a refund. I am insensed and enraged by this entire situation. Our big family vacation was absolutely RUINED because of this. VRBO has done not even the bare minimum and the owner of this location has obviously shown Zero empathy. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE. Those bedbugs must have been there for a long time to be that big.

I hate to leave a negative review, so I'll start with the positives:- Amazing location. Less than a minute walk to the Porte Maillot metro station, which is on line 1. Very convenient to exploring the city. A wonderful, award winning bakery minutes away. Also a farmers market that was open every other day - fresh produce, meats, cheeses and on the weekend they had clothing/consumer goods. A couple grocery stores walkable.- Safe. On a main road, and the gated entrance to the building and interior courtyard made us very comfortable. Despite being on the primary road, it was still quiet.- Lots of space. We had six people (family of four and two individuals) and were very comfortable. Everyone had their own beds, but still there was an additional pullout also available, as well as a couple couches. Felt like we could have easily added more people with room to spare. Good living room and dining room space for us to spread out and be comfortable.Now, the negative, primary reason for the bad review - the kitchen had an ant infestation. We notified them on day 1 and the local host/property manager came and removed the source (an open jar of honey). They did not however add any type of ant killer, so they remained, on every surface in the kitchen for the rest of the days. We did not feel comfortable using the kitchen or storing food anywhere other than in the refrigerator. It's just too much to overlook, and our stay was otherwise good. Without that problem, probably 5 stars.

I'll start with the good... Terry was friendly, the house was easy to find, location was great for us. After coming from a small hotel room in London, having lots of room to spread out was great. The house had an "old charm" to it. One of the main reasons I booked this property was that it was advertised as "air-conditioned". The house had 4 portable AC units. The one in the "master" bedroom did not cool the room off at all. With temperatures around 100 degrees during the day, the bedroom was miserable most of the night. Another reason I booked was to be able to do laundry in the middle of our 10-day, 3-country trip. The washer/dryer combo unit had issues, and it took over 5 hours to do a load of laundry (that's if you caught the end of the wash cycle and immediately switched it over to drying since it was broken and wouldn't do that automatically). The portable AC unit in another bedroom had a broken wheel and was being propped up by a washrag, a brown paper bag, and some other trash. Water spilled everywhere when we tried to move it. The wood flooring in this area was already damaged, so it was obvious that this wasn't the first time water was on that floor.While getting ready at the sink one morning, water started leaking out of the under-the-sink cabinet. We opened the doors to find multiple containers stacked on top of each other to catch the leaking sink. Another ongoing problem that wasn't repaired. The house was dusty and not well kept up.

Property does not appear in rental condition. Not clean. Many issues with ants and termites in kitchen and ants in bathroom. Very hot and a/c units were old and in disrepair , d/t air conditioning vents, window panes left open allowing mosquitos. Nice location.

Terry was a fantastic host! He was hospitable, welcoming, and ensured we had a comfortable stay. Although we had a later check-in, Terry was incredibly accommodating since we arrived in Paris very early in the morning; he allowed us to drop our bags so that we could explore the city. Overall, Terry's communication was exceptional, and the location of the property couldn't be beat - we were a one minute walk from a major train station that allowed us to get around easily. We would recommend this property to anyone staying in Paris, looking for a spacious and centrally-located place to stay!
