The house was spotless, and the kitchen was perfectly equipped with utensils. We enjoyed the beautiful lake view and truly appreciated that the property is pet-friendly. Our host was excellent and communicated clearly whenever we had questions regarding the boat rental. Our friends stayed here last year, and after our experience, we definitely plan to return. Highly recommended!

This property was exactly as pictured and described.The owner answered every question before and during our stay immediately.It fit our extended family group perfectly.We knew we would spend most of our time on the dock and brought pop up canopies for the upper level and lower level. It was @ 100 degrees most of the week, but the cover and the lake breeze kept us comfortable and the water was refreshing.The house is supplied with everything we needed. The Dollar General and Food Lion are a very easy drive away.This is the place to invest in, IF you want to get away from world distractions and focus on the people with you.The neighbors across the lake gave us a spectacular 250th July 4th fireworks display and the kids thought that was the perfect ending to a perfect family gathering.Thank you Firefly Bay!

What a beautiful home on a lovey part of Lake Gaston! Firefly Bay has it all and our family of 11 had a fabulous time enjoying all the house and lake had to offer. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful for entire extended family.

The house was clean with plenty of amenities both inside and lakeside for a fun-filled and relaxing vacation for both children and adults. The owners were friendly and helpful, and responded readily to questions or minor issues.

The property and hosts are amazing! As with any stay, there were some hiccups and the hosts were incredibly prompt to respond. Labels on every cabinet/drawer in the kitchen, clear instructions on how to use house amenities and TONS of games and entertainment! Thank you hosts 👍

Fantastic Week

Travel to Lake Gaston with my entire family (16 of us total with an age range from 4 years old to 84) and we had an amazing time. The house was beautiful, the dock (swimming and fishing) was incredible, the pontoon boat a blast, the view amazing with plenty of space to relax, have meals together, enjoy family time, play games and just unwind. Adam was a fantastic host who provided fantastic information about the home, the area, our stay and offered great help along the way. It was a hall of fame vacation and one our family will never forget.

Amazing Vacation Rental

Our family had an amazing week and this property only added to the experience. All of the items we needed were already there from the kitchen to the Lake. The house was clean and up to date. The amenities were perfect and we couldn't have asked for more. The owners are quick communicators and the entire process was seamless. GREAT property!

Fantastic Lake House!

Beautiful home located on a peaceful lake. We take a family vacation with 3 generations every year. This was one of the best! All ages had an awesome time with so many activities in the house and on the lake to keep them busy. We loved this vacation and have wonderful memories to cherish. Great house with lots of space

We absolutely enjoyed this property and look forward to visiting it again! The house is very spacious and the outdoor space it awesome! One more bathroom will be great which they are putting in by next year… but we have no complaints! The house is well stocked and it’s an awesome place to come in and not leave your entire stay except by boat!

Family vacation

We had a great vacation at Firefly Bay! The house was very spacious and updated with many places to gather as well as quiet spaces to read a book. We enjoyed all of the amenities including the fire pit, kayaks, paddle boards, lily pad, hot tub, and game room. The kitchen was very well stocked. Rachel was very quick to respond when we had a question. Highly recommend this property!

Great week at the lake

We absolutley loved our stay at Firefly Bay. It was a perfect spot for our large family to all be together. We spent the week boating, tubing, swimming and fishing. The property was wonderful and supplied with all we needed to enjoy our stay. It was very clean, and Adam and Racher were great hosts. We had to contact them a few times with questions and each time they were prompt and very attentive and helpful. I highly recommend this property!

Fantastic!

Wow! What a beautiful home! We had such a lovely time! The lake was great fun and the views from the house were plentiful! Great fireworks show right across the lake from us as well. The home was one of the best stocked that I have stayed in so far. The owners were wonderful and very responsive. I highly recommend!

Wonderful

Beautiful home on a beautiful lake! House is huge and just gorgeous. Kids had a blast jumping off the dock, swimming, fishing. Caught 3 huge catfish off the dock. Must have been 35 pounds! Fire pit and hot tub were a hit! Will definitely be back!

Our family vacation to Firefly Bay was exceptional. The house was fully equipped with everything needed from house essentials to enjoying water activities on the lake. Great House, Not So Great Location

If you’re looking for remote, this is the place for you. The house is beautiful, but there is nothing nearby for at least 25 minutes. Also, be ready to lug all your own garbage to a dump, because that’s what part of your stay requires.

We are pleased that you enjoyed our home but we are sorry that your Lake Gaston vacation did not meet all of your expectations. We strive to deliver a 5-star experience to all of our guests by providing spacious and comfortable accommodations, plenty of amenties, and extensive information about our property so that guests know what to expect when they stay at Firefly Bay. Part of what many of our guests love about coming to Firefly Bay is getting away from the city and enjoying the idyllic surroundings at the lake, but we certainly understand that some guests are less accustomed to the rural setting of our property. For future guests' reference, we do have 1 grocery store and several gas stations, convenience stores, and restaurants within 20 minutes of our home and another store less than 10 minutes away that is currently under construction. While we wish our county offered curbside garbage collection service, the public dumpsters are a short 5 minute drive from our home, and directions for waste disposal are clearly outlined in our rental agreement. In the future we hope to offer guests additional options for garbage disposal. As always, we welcome feedback from our guests on how to make the Firefly Bay experience even better for future guests.

Our group had an excellent time at Firefly Bay! The house is just as pretty in person as it is in the images, if not prettier. The views are absolutely amazing. The house was extremely well equipped and the owners have thought of everything to make the stay wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed everything this fabulous home has to offer, including the 2 tiered dock, hot tub, nights by the fire pit, and fun game room area. 5 PLUS Star Home!!

Beautiful Lake House

It was our first time in a lake house, and we fell in love with it. We had so much fun with the pontoon, kayaks and paddle boards! We watched the sunset everyday while on the kayaks and paddle boards, it was very, very peaceful. The hot tub was a great way to end the day. The house has everything you need, it was very clean and very comfortable for a big family. The game room was so much fun for everyone! Adam was very helpful through out the check in and check out process. We can’t wait to go back!
