The location was perfect for exploring the Keewenaw Peninsula. Home was cozy on a beautiful lake. Second time staying and plan to stay again in the future. The owners are friendly and great communication. Very seamless check-in process.
We very much enjoyed our stay on Portage Lake. The hosts were amazing and the house great. We came to snowmobile and were relatively close to the trail system (had to take a little road to get there but it wasn’t a big deal). Our large trailer (27’) fit perfectly in the driveway a the hosts came right out to sand/salt when it got icy. The house accommodated our family well and we had everything we needed to cook meals in the kitchen. There was little for cell service down there, but the starlink worked great to make wifi calls, text and watch tv. We would definitely recommend this place to stay and hope to be back.
This cottage is very nice. Super clean. It’s on Portage Lake and pretty secluded. We didn’t see any neighbors in the week we were there. I would definitely stay again!
We had a wonderful time. The area is very peaceful. Check in was easy after we remembered code (cell service for us was not great). My wife loved the coffee bar and wants to put something similar in our house.
Shannon and Craig's place is a perfect headquarters for exploring the Keewenaw. The cottage is cozy with great views of the lake. My kids had a blast paddling around in the kid kayaks. Would definitely stay again!
We had a fantastic stay at this VRBO! The property was exactly as described—clean, well-stocked, and super comfortable. The location was perfect, close to everything we wanted to explore but still quiet and peaceful. The host was incredibly responsive and made the check-in process seamless. We really appreciated the little touches that made it feel like home. Would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway
This house is a very nice little house we came to area to go snowmobiling the house is a great location to do that, we have a 35’ long trailer and the driveway had plenty of room to back inn , we will definitely be back !
The cabin was in a quiet area, great water views. It was a great location for our family to explore the Keweenaw Peninsula. The cabin was as described. Great communication from the owners. Would highly recommend and will keep this place in mind on our next trip to the Keweenaw. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
This place was the perfect place for my daghter and I. Shannon has put some very nice touches into the place, making it feel homey and comfortable with plenty of privacy. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We rented this cottage while visiting our son at Michigan Tech. Clean, cozy, cute! The lake was so peaceful and relaxing to look at while sitting in the rocking chairs drinking coffee and also having a small bonfire. Would definitely stay here again!
Grandkids fished from dawn to dusk and then some. They caught tons, including a 6 inch crawfish! Such a relaxing setting with lots of watercraft available for everyone. Loved our stay.
We had a great stay! Family said this was a great choice and that they would love to stay here again!! Fished off the dock(perch, sunfish, bluegill, catfish, and a 28" pike all caught off the dock; did some kayaking & paddleboarding; agate hunting @ Agate Beach & Calumet Waterworks Park Beach; Yooperlite hunting @ Calumet Waterworks Park; and a little bit of relaxing;)
