Situated on 3.5 acres of oceanfront property in a rural setting, this vacation spot includes a heated (seasonal) pool, hot tub (year-round), tennis court, play area, beachfront fire pit and moorage for boats. Escape the busyness of the island and make Inn of the Sea your home base for exploring the rest of Vancouver Island.
Views of the Strait of Georgia, Gulf Islands, and the provincial park next door. Country, coastal living but only 12 minutes away from the Nanaimo airport , 15 minutes to Ladysmith, 1.5 hour from Victoria and minutes from ferries to Vancouver, Squamish and Whistler.
Surrounded by cedars and arbutus trees, a short drive to pubs, restaurants and farm stands, Inn of the Sea is the perfect home base to explore Vancouver Island.

Nice spot but terrible interaction with property manager
The property was nice enough, on the water in a quiet spot. But upon arrival, noticed there was a large glass jar on the outside patio table that was shattered. I had to pick up pieces off the ground so my dog wouldn't step on it. When we left, we loaded the dishwasher but it was quite small and didn't fit very much so left the extra dishes on the counter (not an excessive amount or anything as there were just three of us eating breakfast). We then got a text from the property manager complaining about the dishes on the counter, saying how this was going to cost her extra money, instead of just asking why there were dishes there so she could understand. She seems to care most about how much money she's making, even though we paid a significant cleaning fee (nearly the same as the rental fee for two nights' stay), left the place tidy and had to dispose of our own garbage and recycling. We'd never go back.

Breathtaking
Very clean cosy and quiet, beautiful view of the ocean. Kitchen was fully stocked with cooking appliances and tools. Beds were comfortable and clean.

What a beautiful place to stay. The attention to detail was so well thought out. It was beautifully clean and the bed was really comfortable. Very quiet as well. We really enjoyed the hot tub…well looked after. We look so forward to returning

Beautiful Oceanside retreat
We stayed at this property for a month in December. It is easy to get to and there was ample parking. First impression upon walking into the unit was “Wow! The ocean is RIGHT THERE”. The location is on the end. Second impression was how bright it is. The huge windows let in a lot of light even on those grey winter days. The kitchen had absolutely everything I needed to make a Christmas dinner and was well stocked with spices. A large fridge with freezer held all our groceries. The primary bedroom was very comfortable with good closet space. We used the small bedroom as storage for our luggage and other stuff. The main living area is very big with comfortable furniture and a large tv. There were no issues with connectivity to the wifi and I was able to work from there easily. Bathroom is well appointed and came stocked with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Hand soap was also made available and nice fluffy towels. The patio. OMG the patio! It is huge! Very private as well with large boxwood hedges. Nice comfy outdoor furniture. The laundry facilities are very clean with large machines that work great. We didn’t use any other amenities b3cause of the weather. The grounds are very well maintained., Karen checked in on us regularly and was an exceptional host. Thank you so much and we look forward to coming back!
