The Heron Hideaway-entire private home near NAS
Enjoy an entire home with fully stocked kitchen. A spacious back yard including a play house and sand box for the kiddos and an extra driveway deep enough to accommodate your boat or RV. From time to time the driveway adjacent to the house may be rented out to campers but their space is completely separated by privacy fencing. The back patio affords a grill and large patio table for outdoor dining or a relaxing morning coffee. Laundry area is accessed from the back patio. On Tues and Wed (March-Nov), enjoy the Blue Angels as they fly overhead during their practice runs or walk to the NAS bridge for a better view of the show! Boat ramp and kayak launch are accesible within 1.5miles along with a fabulous water trail (5 miles) with small beaches to access the bayou. Another kayak launch is located at the nearby park just .5 miles away. Pensacola Beach and Perdido are both a 20-25 minute drive depending what time of day you hit the road (before 9am is recommended). Downtown Pensacola is just a 9 minute drive and has many great dining options, boutiques, and bustling night life.

About the host

My husband is an engineer and I am a nurse and we have two grown daughters. We’ve traveled a lot often staying in people’s rented homes as a more comfortable alternative to a hotel. We’ve taken notes along the way to incorporate what we loved about how different hosts hosted, the amenities they provided, and making sure not to replicate the things we disliked. We take pride in providing a very clean, well maintained and relaxing home with nearly anything one would need except for their clothes and personal toiletries. A very well stocked kitchen is at the top of the list. We stay often ourselves because we love it there so much but also to make sure the house is staying up to par. Our goal is to provide a home where families can rest and make lifelong memories like we have at the many homes where we’ve stayed thru the years. We hope you enjoy our home as much as we do!

What makes this property unique
The 40’ bamboo in the back affords so much privacy and we love the large backyard and all the sounds of the different birds living in the bamboo. The large white oak trees add to the beauty of our property as well.
