This was our final rental of 3, at the end of our family trip, and we definitely saved the best for last. We were super comfortable and the house was beautiful! Thank you
Perfect booking experience and property! Catherine is a wonderful host and the house is beautiful, spotless and exactly as presented online! We also LOVED hanging out in the backyard! Property is in a great location, minutes away from the grocery store, Walmart, Starbucks, etc...we visited the Riverwalk, saw a theatre production, and attended a concert in Reno, took a day trip to Sacramento, explored many places around the entire perimeter of Lake Tahoe, visited the town of Truckee, the Donner Museum and Memorial site, Sutter's Mill, the location of the 1960 Olympic Games, and Carson City - a highlight was the 2 mile walk from the Bonanza parking lot (trailhead) to Sand Harbor, which was a beautiful paved path with stunning views of the Lake and many opportunities to navigate safely to the water's edge - overall, the PERFECT girls' getaway!! Highly recommended property and location! Thanks Catherine!!
This is a beautifully updated home in a quiet residential neighborhood. We were very impressed with the choices that were made. The kitchen is amazing. There is so much storage and so many helpful things that wereprovided for our use. The backyard is just gorgeous. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit even though we didn’t use the fire pit. The living room has ample seating that is very comfortable. We found the location to be very good for what we wanted to do. The owner was very gracious, helpful and responsive.
We had a wonderful time staying in home! Catherine was very responsive to any questions we had prior to and during our stay. The home was very clean and had everything we needed. We absolutely loved the backyard and the beautiful view. We would definitely stay in this home again if we were to come back to Reno!
Catherine is terrific! Great communication and very helpful. The house was clean and perfectly stocked with everything we needed. The backyard is beautifully maintained and the view is amazing. We look forward to staying again!
Great location, cozy little house. We really appreciated all the extras as far as items in the kitchen and access to laundry. Would definitely stay here again.
We were in town for a family funeral and didn’t actually spend much time at the property, but it was very comfortable and nice to have a quiet spot to return to in the evenings. It was a great location for us.

The property is a nice home with a great backyard view. We were very excited for are stay. Upon arrival we did find some issues with the cleanliness. The house was dusty and spiderwebs were noticed in the corners. We didn’t complain because we didn’t want to be nit picky and didn’t want a cleaning service to show up while we weren’t there. The outside twinkle lights and front door motion lights did not work. However, after contacting the host the twinkle lights were fixed within two days. The front door motion light was not fixed. Communication appeared to be good with the host until we left. I asked the host for a private review over the phone to discuss some of the issues we noticed which included a broke recliner, stained dirty outdoor cushions and the cleanliness issue. That request was denied and communication began to break down. The host immediately began to accuse me of damaging these items which we did not. In the end it is a pretty home, the neighborhood is quiet and has a nice backyard view. I understand that being a host can probably be difficult at times but I felt the breakdown in communication and accusations at the end of our stay were very unfortunate.
The house was lovely, super comfortable, and well appointed. The location was close to everything – parks, shopping, downtown, the Riverwalk, and museums. Loved the yard and the open view. Catherine was an amazing and very responsive. Looking forward to another stay!
This property is just lovely- nice, quiet, convenient neighborhood; super comfortable beds; lots of different spaces; and gorgeous views. Catherine responded quickly to any questions and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!
Our whole experience was wonderful. The property is clean and very comfortable. It’s a great place to comeback to at the end of a long day at the Air Races. Will definitely be back!
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Plenty of space and all the amenities. Would love
We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. Plenty of space and all the amenities. Would love to come back at some point in time. A great experience
Our families shared this property with another family for a basketball tournament. The house was very clean, spacious, and well stocked with kitchen items! We cooked daily and could find everything we needed and then some! The neighborhood was nice and peaceful and a quick drive to the convention center. The backyard was beautiful and peaceful. It was enough space for the kiddos to run around or the adults to gain some quiet time for coffee or a glass of wine. Would definitely stay here again!
I'm happy to have chosen this property for my family & I. We stayed for a week and everything was great. The property is very clean & the nights were quiet & peaceful. Tucked away with views from the private backyard yet just a short drive to shopping & anything around the Reno/Sparks area. Several little details like some great books to read & games to play made the stay even better. We'll stay again.
This was a roomy, nice and clean place to stay, it also had a cabinet full of games to play. The location was perfect for what we needed. Suggestions I have would add some pot holders for the hot pans and maybe some more bath towels. I recommend this property.
Our last VRBO in Reno was a huge disappointment and we were hoping for a clean, uncluttered, quiet, comfortable accommodation this time. This property measured up in all respects and we really enjoyed our 10 day stay. Hoping it will be available for our next visit.

About the host
Hosted by Catherine Bragg-Brennan
My husband enjoy entertaining, so it seemed like a natural to add hosting at our property to our list of day to day activities.
Why they chose this property
This property was considered the haunted house on the block. Bars on the windows and door, roof and fencing was coming down, backyard full of garbage, not to mention the rotted out bathrooms. But, upon entering the house I realized it had great bones, a beautiful backyard view and it was located in a great neighborhood. It has been a labor of love restoring the house to contemporary standards and a place I have truly come to love.
What makes this property unique
While the neighborhood is an old one - homes built in the 50's-60's, it has a nice family feel to it and is under gentrification. The backyard is always a pleasant surprise, the views of Peavine mountains are majestic and peaceful.
