This place was amazing! It was perfect for 2 couples. The sunset views were beautiful. We wished we would have stayed here our whole trip on the Maine coast. Communication and check in were very good.

The sunset house was just perfect for our Labor Day weekend and family gathering! Can’t be the view and the house was full, comfortable and well equipped— a home away from home But the best part was the sunsets beautiful property with views of water and cove from every direction! The property is beautiful, and the home is wonderful. Watching the tides come in and out and the sun setting. I loved waking up and seeing the water. We enjoyed hikes, kayaking and a bike around the Schoodic Point.

This home is absolutely lovely! The location is wonderful, although a bit remote, we appreciated being away from the hustle of the Bar Harbor area. We enjoyed the deck, walking around the property and enjoying the water and tides. The beds were comfortable and it was all well-stocked. It was perfect for our family of 4.

We (2 couples) really enjoyed our 1-week stay. This 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom house was very clean and nicely decorated. It has very spacious rooms, a well-stocked kitchen and well-stocked bathrooms. The acreage around the house is beautiful -- lots of trees, very quiet and right on the water. The sunsets are terrific. There are multiple outdoor seating areas at various places along the water, the dock and on the 2nd floor balcony, We arranged for delivery of a couple quality kayaks and gear for a week from Acadia 1 Watersports and used them for an hour or two almost every morning at high tide. The water is peaceful in this protected bay so you are not dealing with big ocean waves. We used the house as a base to hike and bike in Acadia National Park and the Schoodic Peninsula. The drive to each was very pretty and easy. There are full-size grocery stores and pharmacies in nearby Ellsworth. This house is reasonably priced compared to those closer to Bar Harbor. We were happy that we chose to stay further away from Bar Harbor and felt that the tranquility of this property added a lot to our vacation. We would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cottage. The property was peaceful and beautiful, and we felt right at home. The beds were comfortable, we had everything we needed to cook our meals, and we enjoyed the outdoor eating areas. We were very comfortable here and loved all of the light coming in from the big windows and taking in the beautiful views. We also enjoyed sitting out by the water where there was always a nice breeze. The drinking water was also good, something we noted and appreciated. For us, the location was perfect. Far enough away from the crowds and traffic of the Acadia NP area, yet an easy drive to Mount Desert Island and the Schoodic Peninsula. The communications with the host were excellent. We will stay here again when we return to the area.

We have used VRBO numerous times, all over the country; this was truly one of the best ever! Beautiful surroundings, with all facilities and amenities needed. Acadia NP was about a half hour drive from the house - soo many things to see and Bar Harbor was quaint, with many fun shops and wonderful lobster restaurants. Our host was very amenable and great at communication. Highly recommend this property!

Wonderful Stay in Lamoine!

We spent 5 nights at the property during a family vacation to Acadia. The house was beautifully appointed with amazing views of the water. It was a perfect size for our family of 4. It was about 30 min or so to Acadia and Bar Harbor. We loved our stay and would surely stay again!
