Welcome to Zula Siesta South Padre Island TX! Our address is: 112 E Mesquite St, South Padre Island, TX, 78597

Located just a 2-3 minutes walk to the beautiful beach, Zula Siesta can sleep up to 16 people in 4 bedrooms (see full bedroom configuration below) with a private large pool & hot tub in a fenced yard.

The AMAZING Private Pool & Spa can be heated with additional fee (optional):
Pool & Spa heating fee It $50 x days of your stay.
Spa only heating fee is $35 x days of your stay.
Partial stay heating is not possible. Pool & spa heating is of course optional, so you can let us know after you book if you would like to add it and we will send you a separate payment request for it it.

We are pet friendly! Well Behaved pets are welcome with pet fee. The pet fee is $150 for the first 2 pets and an additional $150 for each pet beyond the first 2 (up to 6 pets). Please let us know after you book if you plan to bring any pets and how many, and we will send you a separate payment request for the pet fee.

For a good night sleep we put luxury memory foam mattresses in all beds.

Super High-Speed internet with AC WiFi that even extends into the yard to cover all the playing and remote working needs.

70” smart TV and sound system in the living room and Smart HD TVs in all rooms with all your favorite streaming apps.

Kitchen is equipped to prepare yummy meals. Large island with seating and a large dining table that sits 12.

Washer and Dryer, laundry detergent provided.

Gas grill for great cookouts, propane provided.

Large fenced yard with ample covered space under the house. The fenced area is accessed thru a gate under the house. no direct access from within the house)

Beach chairs, umbrella and beach cart (wagon) provided.

Please note: If the majority of the adults in your group are under 25 we require an additional refundable damage deposit paid separately from your booking of $750. No events or parties allowed.

We are the Weinstein family - AKA Zula Beach Vacation Homes. We love the beach and we love to host so we bought beach houses in our favorite locations (Destin, FL and South Padre Island, TX) and rent them for others to enjoy. We put our hearts into this house to make it beautiful, comfortable and fun for every group any time of the year. We are sure you, your family, and friends (even those 4 legged ones) will have a perfect beach vacation.

We had a great time staying at Zula Siesta! The house is super cute, clean, and very spacious! The pool was clean and worked perfectly, the auto door makes checking in and out a breeze, and the beds are SO comfortable. The place is located pretty central on the island so getting everywhere we wanted to go was easy. The owners were so accommodating and readily available for any questions we had our entire stay. 110% recommend this spot for your stay!

We had 14 women in our group. It was spacious and relaxing. The house is fully equipped the only thing I would suggest bringing with you is large skillets. We brought 2 large skillets and it worked out perfectly so that we could cook for this large group.

Great Property and Great Communication

This property met the needs of an extended family with grandparents, adult children, a grandchild, and three dogs. It was spacious, clean, and a wonderful place to stay for almost a week. The pool was nice and the beach was close. The owners were very communicative when small issues arose and helped to make our stay a breeze. I would highly recommend this property!

The Zulu House is a must! Amazing House with all the amenities you need. Steps to the beach and Pool and Jacuzzi at home. Very nice open concept with lots of sleeping space. Family Vacation

The house was perfect for the group that came. It had plenty of utensils too use in the kitchen. We really like the ice maker in the kitchen. But the knives could definitely use some sharpening. The grill out back was nice that it didn’t use propane. But it definitely could use some cleaning. When we tried to cook up burgers it flammed up really bad. But overall it was a great experience. The owners were very receptive to our questions and concerns.

Zulu Siesta

Great property for families or larger groups. A short block walk to the beach. Each room had its own bathroom. Pool was nice and the shaded area underneath the house near the pool. Has a bathroom at the pool and plenty of toys for the pool and the beach including a wagon and boogie boards. Host has excellent communication. A bit low on water pressure in the master shower and a not so comfy living room couch but the place had everything else. Well stocked kitchen, huge island and dining room table, exceptionally large flat screen TV in the living room and every room. AC was super cold!!! Entrance is on the second floor if you have old knees but we would return again. Our pet dog had as much fun as we did :)

Excellent and responsive owners

The house was in a very convenient, walkable area, very close to the beach. The house sleeps a lot of people. It could use some updating. Needs drywall repairs in the bathroom and smells a bit musty. Cookware and utensiles are very poor qualilty. It's not a kitchen for someone who actually cooks. There were no casserole dishes, very cheap flimsy or broken cookware - like broken plastic measing cups, torn spatula, poor quality cookware and blender didn't work well. The chairs are all metal or hard plastic, so not comfortable if sitting for long periods like when working remotely. The pool and hot tub were awesome. We paid extra to have them heated while we were there in the winter and definitley worth it. There is no back door to access the back of the house. It would be nice if they could extend the front deck a few feet and add stairs to access the back yard. Since there is no back door you have to walk from the hot tub/pool to the front of the house at the street to go back inside. I love that it was dog friendly. However, it was a bit of a hassle not being able to easily let the dog out into the back yard since there is no back door. A dog must be put on a leash and walked out the front door at the street and around to the backyard. Not a huge deal, but renters with dogs should be aware of this. The owners were excellent. They were extremely responsive. Any issues or questions we had were immediately addressed. House is only1/2 block from the beach. Very safe neighborhood.

Hi Paula, Thank you so much for your review. We're so glad to hear you had a wonderful time at our beautiful Zula Siesta vacation home in South Padre Island. We were very surprise to hear your comment about the quality of the cookware. We personally cook a ton and specifically stocked the kitchen with great things for large groups to be able to cook and very often get compliments from guests about how well our kitchen is stocked. We actually have a storage room under the house with lots of extras since we often replace and restock the kitchen and if you would have told me about anything that is broken or missing I would have gladly got it replaced quickly. But during your 3 weeks stay with us you never mentioned any of this and like you said yourself - any other questions or issues you did mentioned were immediately addressed by us. Regarding your comment to extend the deck, unfortunately we wanted to do it when we remodeled the house but the city didn't approve the extension of the deck. And the chairs are from metal/plastic or wood because as a beach house guest often come wet or oily from the beach/pool and therefore we decided not to put fabric chairs. Thank you again for the feedback, we're glad we were able to accommodate you & your dog at our house, we hope to host you again soon.

Great family get away

We really enjoyed our stay! Great location to beach, right up street. Great place to dine at The palms, right by boardwalk. The pool area is fantastic and really appreciated the use of beach chairs and wagon for beach. The home is well equipped and perfect location to head north a little and take your car on the beach which is great to get away from crowds! Great communication with owners!

Perfect house for our 2 families. There were eight of us with plenty of room for more. The outside pool area was awesome. We held bags tournaments at night, sat in spa and just hung out. Beach is easy walk to the end of the street. I am VERY picky and this house checked all our boxes. We would stay here again
