The property was well kept. Had everything we needed to cook and dine. The outside area was a perfect get away when you needed a nice view of the lake. Very close to everything we needed, The Village, Gold mine coasters, and the marina. It was a little outdated however. Other than that it was an excellent stay.
This home was absolutely perfect for our family celebration! We stayed here for our daughter’s college graduation, and it exceeded expectations in every way. The house is beautiful, warm, and sits right on a stunning lake, while still being close to downtown. There was something for everyone: games, pool table, ping pong, and plenty of room to spread out and relax. The kitchen was fully stocked, which made cooking and gathering easy and enjoyable. The bedrooms were spacious, and the “kids’ room” was a huge hit…like a built-in sleepover!Located on a quiet court with plenty of parking, it made coming and going simple. The management team was very responsive and easy to work with. And as a bonus, we even got snow, which made the stay feel extra magical.Highly recommend!
Cozy & spacious, with plenty of beds for a large group! For our group of 10 we had 3 bedrooms, plus the bunk room with 6 beds!!! Driveway can comfortably fit 4 cars. We loved being right on the lake, and the back patio felt private enough to lay out in the sun. The jacuzzi & pool table was such a fun bonus! It’s within walking distance to The Village bars, which came in very handy for our group! Overall, would LOVE to book here again.
Wonderful location in a quiet cul de sac, right on the lake with beautiful views. Warm cozy fire place and special winter amenities. Host was responsive and made the process easy. Kid and Dog friendly!
Great house with an amazing view! Very spacious and comfortable. House had all the amenities we needed & more. Our stay was easy and enjoyable. Would book again for our next trip to Big Bear!
Close to the Village and right on the lake, this was the perfect location for a family trip. Had a great time. Property Manager communication was excellent!
Beautiful home, with great layout. Plenty of amenities. Spacious rooms with huge downstairs areas. Backyard was a comfortable space with hot tub, great fire pit & bbq. Worth the cost!!
Exceptionally clean home, but pretty dated. A few things could use repairing, but overall good home. The master shower and trash receptacle in kitchen especially need a little TLC. Comfortable bedrooms for our whole family of 5 and 2 small dogs. Nice lakefront location, great fire pit in the back yard, very clean grill! Close to the village area and boating in the summer.
We came with 3 families with children, this house was very spacious and comfortable for that size of a group. The check in was so easy and friendly, the dock behind the house allowed us to fish all weekend, which was so fun, but we could have also used it for a boat. There is one side of the backyard that doesn’t have a fence, which was a slight safety concern for the kids and dogs but the yard was still beautiful and peaceful. Everything else in the home was so lovely, the kitchen and living room were a great hub for our friends, I highly recommend the property.
There is nothing bad about this property. The second you pull up and walk through the door it feels like coming home. All amenities were well thought out and easy to find. The ants (Its California so yes ants) were pretty much non existent. There is construction going on next door but we never heard them and the workers were courteous when seen. We really enjoyed our stay and I hope that we can enjoy this property again some time.

Good Bad and Ugly
GOOD- Spacious house well laid out, would accommodate larger group and not feel cramped. Good furniture nicely decorated.
Outdoor space well laid out for different groups. (See bad for issues)
Good location less than a mile from shops and restaurants.
SoCal the property managers were very helpful with below issues and immediately reacted to them.
BAD- Dog poop in yard. Ants in kitchen. Have to take your garbage to the dump. Can't be outside after 10pm due to noise ordinance. Amenities listed boat dock and fireplace, but boat dock closed, and city ordinance doesn't allow open flames.
Also first day we noticed a lot of water in front yard turned out they had a pipe break so they turned off water first day and then worked for 2 more days. AND NO hot water the first day and only warm for the next two days.
UGLY- Original post did not say anything about construction next door. Website updated to say construction M-Sat 8am to 6pm. We got lucky and they weren't working but it did impact the view and the site was a mess! The outdoor eating area looked directly onto wood and tarps everywhere. (See pics)

It actually could be worser
First of all, thank you SoCalVacations for making our vacation more pleasant. As a management company, you provided a clean, well-equipped, and organized house. Without the two air conditioning units you brought on the second day, we would probably have returned home immediately. While they were not enough to cool the house to comfortable temperatures, at least we avoided indoor temperatures that were unfit for human habitation.
This is our sixth year using the VRBO platform, and we always select the AC filter. How the house became air-conditioning-free three months after booking remains a mystery. The house's insulation does not block heat, trapping us in an overheated environment.
We understand that the homeowner may not wish to repair or replace the two air conditioning units in the yard for financial reasons, operating on a trial-and-error basis. It is the responsibility of the homeowner/management company not to rent out a residential property that is unsuitable for use during hot months.
Additionally, the nearby construction site was entirely uncovered. This was supposed to be a relaxing vacation, but instead, we were woken up every morning at six by the drilling and noise of workers standing near our windows. Needless to say, it was impossible to sleep and rest under these conditions.
We paid a significant amount for a peaceful vacation by the lake and received something entirely different. We would have expected to be informed about the active c
Our family had a wonderful time staying at this property. It was incredibly clean and we’ve never stayed somewhere with such a stocked kitchen. Everything was very well thought out. We were a little disappointed that the dock in the listing was no longer in the water, but besides that everything was great.
