Our cabin is for those seeking the true feel of a cabin stay with all the beautiful woodwork, yet complete with unlimited Wifi, full kitchen, 1 queen bed, 2 double beds, and 1 roll away bed, hot tub, mini split AC/heat, and fire pit. (wood provided with your stay)Located just 5 minutes from Summersville Lake and 7 minutes from the lower Gauley River. Us RT 19 is only 8 short miles from the cabin. The Sawmill Retreat is also less than 30 minutes from New River Gorge National Park. Within minutes you can go fishing, hiking, biking, swimming, boating, rafting, lighthouse tours, there's also places to ride ATV's right from the cabin, or just site seeing all of the beauty that surrounds this area of West Virginia.

Great experience!

My wife and I had a great stay at Sawmill Retreat. The cabin was clean snd warm with all the amenities of home. We really enjoyed the hot tub on the covered front porch! The host, Miranda, was outstanding! She was very responsive and kind. I would recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Great stay overall

We had a great stay at this cabin! The place was very clean and the hot tub was nice. The bed was very comfortable also which is always a plus when sleeping away from home. We even seen a few deer right across the road while cooking outside. The area is absolutely beautiful with so many places to see nest things within a half hour! Very scenic place overall around there. The only real improvements I would suggest would be curtains or blinds on the door and window in kitchen for a sense of more privacy, although the location was pretty private it would be a nice touch. The lake is drained during off season and the owner communicated that in messages when I was asking questions but it could be added to the listing to provide clear info without requiring a message. Would definitely stay again! And considering doing so during summer months, nice little property.

Family Trip

The cabin was clean and cozy. There was so manny things to see and do. The lake is beautiful and clean. Hawks Nest was just a short drive. Recommend the jet boat ride. And the Mew River Gorge Bridge was awesome. Recommend the drive to go under the bridge. We are definitely going back next year.

Cozy Cabin Getaway

Sawmill Retreat has one of a kind craftsmanship that you won’t find anywhere else. The homeowners really take pride in making their home stand out! The location was perfectly nestled in a peaceful location yet close enough to the Gorge, Gauley National Park, Hawks Nest State Park and many other attractions. Miranda was quick to respond to every message and easy to work with. Hot tub was an added bonus! We had a blast! Would definitely recommend for your next get away!

Cabin in the woods

This is a must stay place. They say cleanliness is next to godliness. I can’t say enough about how clean this cabin was. The area was absolutely gorgeous as well. My family and I will be back for sure!
