Ocean Front - Steps from the water! Rooftop patio, private dock, heated pool!

Welcome to our private stand-alone oceanfront home in a quiet, yet friendly gated community in Marathon, Florida! If you’re looking for a relaxing and low-energy getaway for your family, you’ve found the perfect place.

Consider a 14-day stay and receive an 8% discount OR 28-day stay and receive a 18% discount.

The ocean views from our home are breathtaking! Steps from your front door you'll find a place to dock your boat and a pier for watching the fish swim by or to throw a line in and try your luck at fishing. The dock is a great place to jump in and cool off! A neat place to snorkel too, but doesn’t compare to snorkeling out on the reefs. There are even steps down into the water and an outdoor shower to rinse off.

Our home features three levels with spectacular unobstructed open water views. The rooftop deck offers space for sunbathing, enjoying the sunset and stargazing.

3 Bedroom, 3 Bath:
- Master Bedroom: King Bed with full bathroom
- Second Master Bedroom: Queen Bed with full bathroom
- Third Bedroom: Bunk Bed (twin over full) and 2 twin beds (trundle)

Full gourmet kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, including a Keurig and coffee pot. Comfortable living room with 55-inch HDTV. High-speed WiFi internet access throughout our home, and rooftop deck including the pool! High end washer and dryer available. You will find our home stocked with laundry and dishwasher soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and garbage bags.

The elevator takes you to the first and second floors (the rooftop deck is the only area not accessible by elevator).

You can enjoy ocean views from both the hot tub and pool. The hot tub is completely private! The pool is shared with the other 13 homes in our private community, though it's rarely busy (except on some holidays) as most owners are absentee or occupied enjoying all the Keys have to offer!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
All towels should be washed and dried prior to leaving.
Do not leave any dishes in the sink or dishwasher. Please run the dishwasher and put away dishes prior to leaving.
Trash must be taken out on Monday and Friday evenings. This is so important that there is a fee for not taking the trash out the last pick up prior to your departure
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
NO subleasing or sharing rental time with different groups. The person(s) on the lease must reside at the property while it is occupied.
NO more than one boat and two cars allowed on the property.
NO animals allowed on the property. We do not make exceptions because we promise an animal free stay to everyone.

Joe's place was fantastic! We stayed there for a week celebrating my Mother's birthday. Accommodations were clean and easily accessible. Some of the best views of the ocean anywhere we've stayed. Would highly recommend!

Amazing location and property

We loved out stay at Joes house. His property manager, Ashley, was very communicative and helpful. The house was very clean and perfect if renting a boat as you have access to the dock. The kids enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well. We will definitely be back next year.

Marathon Bay Front

This was an amazing property with an incredible view. The house had everything we needed as friends and family rotated through. The owner was the BEST as he was extremely responsive to everything we asked him. We are looking forward to returning next year.

Better than anticipated

Great location! Awesome views and wonderful fishing from the dock. Weather was too windy so we opted not to rent a boat to dock here. I would recommend you dock at protected marina across the highway! House was well stocked and community pool and private hot tub were a plus! Definitely will recommend to others!

Comfy home

Very nice home with an amazing roof top deck. Hosts were VERY responsive. Well maintained with plenty of supplies. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to stay in a home on the water in marathon. Just a few steps out the door and your at the dock. The docking is very tricky however if you are an avid boater you’ll navigate just fine. The chop from the vaca cut is what is crazy in the dockage but other than that we enjoyed our stay and responsiveness of hosts.

Wonderful slice of pure paradise!

You will not find a better property (or owner) to rent in the entire Keys! Joe is a hands on owner willing to help with anything that arrises during your stay. The home is nothing short of incredible, from the rooftop deck to the hot tub it has everything you could ask for. The location is perfect for exploring the Keys wether you go north or south! Central location makes it absolutely perfect! Anything you want or need is within just a couple miles or you are an hour south to Key West or an hour north to Islamorada. My wife and I just can't recommend this property any higher! We are already planning our next trip. we can't wait to get back and we've only been home 2 days!

Woke up in Paradise

We spent a week in paradise...We started our days with coffee in the hot tub watching the boats head out in the morning. The house was situated right on the water, and watching the sunsets on the 3rd floor deck were amazing. We went deep sea fishing on day with Blue Magic Charters and caught our limit...There was a great kitchen and grill for our catch. After our days adventures of traveling down to Key West, and snorkeling at Bahia Honda, would would take a swim in the heated pool and watch the sun set. The beds were super comfortable. The week sent by so fast... Cant wait to visit again. I would highly recommend this home year after year.

Beautiful Home, Gorgeous Views - 5 Stars!

Where do I start! The owners made this property a true, home away from home. A kitchen loaded with everything a family would need and a living space perfect/comfortable for family time or alone time. Much thought was given to the outdoor space as well. Supplies were provided to fish from the dock, clean and cook your catch without leaving. We saw a few reviews regarding the pool size and we had no issues. Actually, the surrounding guest were really fun and we enjoyed spending time at the pool. If you're looking for a true get-away, don't miss this house. If you're looking for a great host, Joe and his team were always available and accommodating.

Beautiful view!

The ocean view was beautiful! There was newer living area furniture in the unit compared to the pictures of when we booked. Hot tub was also brand new. Unit was well stocked with paper products and dish/laundry soap. You only have to focus on buying food for your stay. Area was quiet compared to areas we’ve stayed in the past on Marathon. Elevator was great for luggage and groceries. Beach chairs/mats, cooler and fishing poles were in storage closet. Those were used a lot! Outside fridge and freezer was also nice for fish. We were able to have a few restaurants prepare the catches for us. Owner and his assistant were very responsive and a pleasure to work with throughout the process. The pool is small. We were gone most of the time, but enjoyed the private hot tub at night after a long day. The dock was nice for fishing. We even had a manatee come up to the dock and we fed fresh water to him. If you have a chance to go on a sunset jet ski tour, I highly recommend! That was the highlight of all of our trips down here so far.

The View

Had a wonderful stay here. Spent every morning on the deck with a coffee, and every day just hopping on the boat right from the dock in the backyard, to every evening watching the sunset. Great stay with great friends!

Great view, great location!

We had a fabulous week in Marathon! The house is great, with just fantastic views of the gulf. Great location if you have a small/medium boat, or will be fishing. Central location, Easy to get to anywhere in the Keys! We went to the beaches, Key West and Bahia Honda park. Sombrero beach is nice, with great facilities, but also very crowded this time of year. Honda park is crowded also, go early. We went to coco plum too, less crowds, but not as well maintained. Key West is almost exactly an hour away, so we went for dinner twice and shopping, also went snorkeling there (honest eco tour). We spent an evening at the doghouse bar around the corner which was a good time. Do not go to KiKis on Big Pine for dinner. This was our only bad experience while we were here. The Fish House looks good, but we could never get a table without a 3 hour wait, so we went elsewhere. Marathon Bagels are good, coffee mediocre. Great business that desperately needs a bigger space and redesigned. Great sunsets if you go into Key Colony Beach with the happy retirees. The House, it was awsome that most all the little things you need are there... Laundry soap, dish soap, tp, garbage bags, towels, Coffee (thank goodness!) grill works great. I have stayed places that literally left one garbage bag and one roll of TP. Great that they don't skimp the small stuff. If I could suggest some beach chairs? I assume they are getting to the end of the rental season... place does need some minor touchups, a solid cleaning, and maybe a new couch/bedspreads. But the view alone makes this place worth visiting!

Unit 13 was amazing, the only part that wasnt was the pool.. The pool was next to our unit, and it wasnt big enough to share with 13 units. We assumed or thought the pool was for our unit till we got there and realized we had to share it with 30+ people, so never went to the pool. thanks,

Great house with fabulous views!

In summary, fabulous views! From the roof you get both the Atlantic and gulf. Unobstructed 180 degree gulf view. The house is great too. Everything you need to sleep comfortably, relax, cook. Space for group time and me time. Well maintained. Great host you can reach anytime promptly. And you don’t have to go to key west for groceries or good restaurants. Many nearby. But key west is accessible, too. Want to put in a plug for the nearby aquarium. Exceeded expectations. All around great location and accommodations.

Growing up in Ohio and dealing with the long winter season, I was lured down to explore Florida. Stumbling on the Keys, I couldn't believe how incredibly gorgeous they were with the variety of flora and fauna. Temperate compared to the rest of Florida during the summer with clear warm waters and it is usually the warmest place in the US during the winter. Diving, snorkeling, fishing, boating, island life, dining, beaches, all with a small-town feel and all the comforts of the US! What's not to love?!

The desire to be part of the keys and spend more time here led me to buy my first place in 1997. One of the best parts is sharing the experience with others. This led me to share my home with others for the last 20 years!

Why they chose this property

This location is especially amazing. Located steps from the ocean, close to Vaca Cut provides incredible views, gorgeous water with so many fish swimming under the dock that it feels like an aquarium! We really have it all: Dock, pool, oceanfront view, comfort, all in a small gated community of 14 other newer homes. There is nothing else like it!!
