We had a great stay. The home was warm inviting and a great location for skiing at Crystal Mountain as well as fun for family game nights!! It had everything we needed for our 4 day stay.
It was the perfect cozy cabin for our trip, we especially enjoyed using the fire pit and the beautiful views of the River. About a 40 min drive to Downtown Traverse City. Overall great experience!
Property was well maintained and stocked with every item you could possibly imagine. Tranquil location and perfect site to reach local areas of interest. Outside deck and fire pit areas were used to create many new memories.
Perfect spot for a ski weekend at Crystal Mountain Secluded and quiet - on the River and in the trees Spacious and clean Off the beaten path but snow plow came regularly Communication was excellent
Our family enjoyed our stay here. It is a very quiet location with great river access, we had fun kayaking on the Betsie River right to the dock on location. There was plenty of room for us, and everything was clean and in good shape. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Great location close to Crystal Mountain. This has been our second year staying here and have not been disappointed. Each time we come back there are improvements to the cabin.
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a private home away from home.
The cabin was private however there is a park nare by the property and other people were fishing at the dock of the cabin. It was difficult to fish because there was always other people fishing in our area.
The property was perfect for our group for New Year's. We were close to Crystal Mountain for skiing but had privacy in the woods for walks and campfires. The house had everything we needed. Thank you!
Had a Great time for a girls weekend. Close to Crystal Mountain! House was big and Plenty of Space!! Will definitely rent this place again!!! The Renters were absolutely beyond helpful and very accommodating!!! Can’t say enough good things!!
Had a wonderful time! It was very nice how well it was stocked and we were very comfortable. The stairs at the entrance were a little unstable looking so we were careful when using them. Otherwise it was great. Would recommend!
Loved it!! Had a great time! Better than the pictures!! Plenty of room and a lot bigger than we expected. The beds are very comfortable. The boys had a blast fishing in the river. Plenty of supplies available to use-shampoo, towels, kitchen supplies, hand sanitizer, etc. Highly recommended!!!! See you next year!!!
A group of 11 of us stayed at the cabin for a double birthday weekend! It was great! The rooms were comfortable, everyone was able to sleep well, the kitchen was well stocked of utensils, and the outdoor space is perfect. There were some dead bugs near some beds but was sort of expected being out in the woods. The drive to traverse city was pretty easy and the house was in a lovely secluded (but not too secluded part of Thompsonville.) we all had a great time!
The trip was great. The cottage was the perfect location for an up north trip. We tried to fish in the river and went charter fishing out of Traverse city. We did notice a the railing down the steps to the dock was lose, as well as the dock being partly off the foundation. The cornhole boards were also damaged before we arrived.
The amenities at the house are great and provide a lot to do in a remote location that is by a lot of Michgan's Attractions. You won't get bored here even if you just stay at the house for days! It was bit farther from Traverse City and Sleeping Bear than expected, but Traverse City and Sleeping Bear are farther apart than I realized and is in the Middle of them all. It is closes to Crystal Mountain Resort which gives good access to Golf Courses and a gas station with a great pizza place next door. There were several other places nearby I would have liked to visit but did not have time for.
Host communication set a new bar for excellence. Wonderful accommodation; nicely updated with a quiet wooded setting. The roads to access the cabin winds about a bit; but my navigation took us right there in the dark. I can't think of anything It needed. Kitchen set up had everything we needed for meals in. Close to Crystal for skiing, Sleeping Bear Dunes for hiking, plenty of Lake Michigan beaches close by. Less than 5 minutes to Geno's for good food and fun. We had some snow overnight and were pleased to see the road and driveway nicely plowed when we returned from skiing.
Definitely recommend!
