We loved our stay! This was the perfect spot for us to get away. The kitchen was well stocked for us to cook together, sitting on the covered deck during a thunderstorm had great views, the hot tub was lovely and clean, and we got to explore towns near by. We would love to come back!
This was our second time here for our anniversary. It was perfect for the dogs myself and my husband. We got wonderful food and hike recommendations from the host. It was a perfect weekend away. Our dogs also loved it!
A unique getaway in a beautiful area. A well designed, clean and spacious spot is situated in a beautiful area close to hiking trails and restaurants. My husband and I and our two dogs greatly enjoyed our stay here.
Beautiful property, clean living spaces with many thoughtful details, very attentive and kind property owners. Highly recommend! We look forward to coming back.
Great little getaway! The kids loved the property. We ventured out in each direction each day to do activities. So much to see and do in the area. Host was very helpful and communicative.
We had an spectacular time at our visit. The hot tub was amazing and had the fire going it was so relaxing. The kitchen was fully stocked with almost everything needed including some base spices. William communication was spot on and perfect. Any questions we had, he answered willingly and thoughtfully and made sure we felt right at home. We would recommend William and his beautiful cabin to anyone looking for a home away from home.
We had a great time at the red barn retreat. It’s close to many great restaurants and hikes. The host was very communicative and gave great recommendations. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need. The house was clean and check in was a breeze.
We had a nice stay while in Gardiner. It was exactly what we were looking for, a beautiful scenery for a quiet getaway William was very helpful letting us know the good spots around as well.
The house was nice and clean. The surrounding area was peaceful and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the small animals and birds pass by. We visited Minnevaska park which was nearby and had a nice walk by waterfalls
The property is close to Minawaska State Park where we went hiking. We enjoyed the hot tub and had a nice stay. There are a number of nice restaurants nearby too.
Great little place, friendly host, wonderful location & awesome amenities (hot tub, park passes, fire pit, deck). Also love that it's pet-friendly and our pup is welcome to join us here. Only note: The mattresses could use some updating. There's significant sagging in the bedroom mattress and the one on the pull-out couch is in pretty bad shape, both caused us some back pain. Also, if you like to sleep in and/or are a light sleeper, the garage directly beneath the bedroom is fairly loud when being opened/closed, which happened a few times early in the mornings during our stay, and unfortunately interrupted our sleep.
My husband, little boy, and I came up for the weekend and we had the best time. William was so easy to contact and helpful. The loft was bright, fresh, cozy and had everything we needed. The hot tub was so much fun for our little boy and so relaxing. We explored the property and had a great time kayaking, watching the birds and wildlife and beautiful sunsets. I’m so glad we came and I can’t wait to get back.
My son and I stayed here for 2 nights and it was perfect for nearby hiking, dining and shopping/walking around New Paltz. The hosts were very accommodating and had great recommendations for everything local. My only complaint is not being able to stay longer, we plan to return!
The accommodations were great and the host communicated with us about everything we needed to know. We brought our dog and she loved the property. Would definitely come back.
My wife and I (and our cat and dog!) had a lovely time at this property. It was both secluded while also being just a very short drive to New Paltz and restaurants. The outdoor hot tub and fire pit were lovey. We were greeted with a bottle of local wine when we checked in which was a great touch. Highly recommend - we will definitely be back!
Property is private, one bedroom house is perfect, everything clean and new. Enjoyed the hottub & bird watching from the 2nd floor deck.

One of the best stays I’ve had at a rental property! The place has everything you’d need to feel cozy and at home, including blankets, coffee, hot tub and more! Bill has gone the extra mile to provide for guests and he was attentive to all our needs. This is the place to stay!
Really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for getting to hiking and biking sites. The town was cute with restaurants and farmers markets. Property was well maintained, comfortable and relaxing. Thank u.
