Only a 2 block walk from Forest Park & its Metrolink train stop, your group will have access to everything the city has to offer. This 100 year-old historic home is only blocks from Forest Park, the site of the 1904 World's Fair Exposition and the 1904 Summer Olympics

Unload your car then collapse on the comfy couch for an evening of movies on our Roko TV. Enjoy a quiet night sleep in your own room. Wake rested, roll out of your king-sized bed, & brew a cup of joe before heading out to explore the Lou.

"Suites in the Lou" offers 6 private short term rental suites in one building - great for a large group which may want to all stay in one place. We're also centrally located, so you can take a short walk, ride, or drive to the Delmar Loop, Washington University, the Central West End, or Forest Park. There are plenty of quality dining, retail, and entertainment choices within 2 miles. DeBaliviere Place simply presents the best that St. Louis has to offer.

How to Find our Building: Because we are on a dead-end street, you can only access our address coming from the East. There is no direct access from DeBaliviere Avenue.

Gated Parking: Access to the gated parking lot is only available after you arrive and check into your unit. A remote to the gate and a key to your back door entrance will be waiting for you on the kitchen counter. In the meantime, feel free to find a parking spot out front on the street.

Great apartment close to Forest Park

It was a great space for our family of five. There are lots of things to do around St Louis, and the location for this apartment allows for easy access to all of it. The second bedroom can be difficult to open and close with the sliding, closet-type doors, but you can’t beat the space and cleanliness for the price!

This flat was amazing!

We were in town for a Volleyball Tournament. This flat was a great place to come "home" and decompress from all the noise!! It was nice and quiet! The communication with Libby was fantastic, and she was always quick to respond to my inquiries. We would definitely stay here again if we come to St. Louis! Thank you for hosting us!

Excellent stay

Very clean and quiet apartment. Great place to stay with small kids. It is a 30 minute walk to the zoo, which sounds like a lot but it is a very pleasant and safe walk through Forest Park. Also very close to the Delmar Loop Trolley which my 2 year old was absolutely enthralled with. Towels were plentiful and kitchen was adequate for a simple meal. I was impressed that the AC was COLD in such an old building. We would stay here again without hesitation.

Easy check-in and out with responsive host. Private parking. Spacious apartment in historic area. Took the Metro to the Cardinals’ game and the bus to the zoo - though the zoo would have been a nice walk on a cooler day. All of Forest Park’s wonderful museums and attractions are only a few blocks away. Apartment has updated kitchen and bath, spacious living area.

Very good location for Barnes Jewish Hospital

My wife had surgery and was at Barnes for about a week. This location was very convenient to the hospital and had everything we needed. A HUGE plus was the available gated parking. You don’t realize how many places around Barnes don’t have any parking to speak of and I did not want to have to worry about that. Granted we only used the VRBO house to sleep in but it was quiet, clean and the beds were comfortable. All in all a very pleasant experience.

A great extended weekend stay in STL

Our family of 5 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Both accomodations and location were great. This was our first time in STL as a family, and getting around to different attractions was made easy by being so close to public transportation: Metrolink, Metrobus, and Delmar Loop Trolley. Getting into Forest Park was easy being just a couple blocks from the north side of it. So much to see and do. Accomodations were super. Nice neighborhood with historic feel. Clean, well kept, and comfortable. We lacked nothing - it was home away from home. Gated parking was appreciated. Libby was always ready to help in any way. Definitely sharing this find with friends, and will book again for future STL visits! THANK YOU!

Great Stay!

We stayed for 3 nights with our 3 kids. The space worked great for us. You can definitely hear sounds associated with having neighbors to the sides and above. It didn't bother us and everyone seemed to respect quiet hours. The biggest issue we had was with the Roku TV. It was extremely slow our first night and we couldn't watch anything. It was a little better for the next two nights but still very slow. Also, it was hard to do laundry, at least on the days we were there. There was laundry left in all of the machines for days. The location was great. We drove to some places and walked to the Metrolink for others. The manager was extremely responsive via text and great to work with!

Wonderful stay

Stayed four nights while on a work trip at Washington University at St. Louis. My family came with me and explored the nearby Forest Park, including the zoo, while I was working. The apartment was very comfortable for us. We did have to be careful with the glass table with the youngest member of our group, but this was manageable. We did have an older person in our group who walks with a cane, and she did well coming and going - there are about five steps to get up into the apartment but none inside. Beds were a little squeaky but very comfortable -- the sheets were so soft and felt wonderful after a long day of work (or fun!). The pull-out sofa in the living room was great as well. I also appreciated that the back door, which went to the gated parking lot, opened straight to outdoor air (this seems to be the case for all units in this building). We parked in that lot during our stay, but it looked like on-street parking in front would have worked too. Neighborhood was quiet and lovely. AC worked perfectly, even on 96 degree days. All-in-all, it was great for staying with our family, and we would definitely book here again.

My husband, Eric, and I have enjoyed living in the St. Louis area for 35+ years. We moved to the Lou right after we married, raised our three children here who have all married locally and now raise our 4 grandchildren in St. Louis as well. We both look forward to hosting you into our retirement. Although we have a cleaning team that helps us, Eric and I do most of the maintenance and repairs.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this 6-suite short term rental in 2021 so we can enjoy hosting guests to STL on into retirement. Nothing is more enjoyable than a vacation, right?! This 100-year old building is located in the "Heart of St. Louis"... the Forest Park area. Although St. Louis is a small town, it has big city opportunities and amenities!

What makes this property unique

We are small group, family and pet friendly. Parties are not allowed but family get-togethers are encouraged. With 6 suites in our building, we can accommodate corporate teams and family reunions that wish to stay in the same building. However, we do not have a common space for gatherings.
