70's-80's Vintage Cottage on Round Lake

This is a fun two-level lakeshore cottage approx 30'x30' with an oversized 12'x15' treetop deck providing expansive views across Round Lake and into other Chain 'o Lakes. Features main floor lakeside window wall and hand-sawn oak boards forming custom walls in the spacious cathedral ceiling dining/living area.

The lakefront is 58' of shoreline, with a rare sandy bottom. Dock installed for mooring your boat May through mid-September. Three kayaks, two SUPs and an inflatable sunning raft await you. For fun, a cornhole game and lakeside fire pit to tell stories by and roast marshmallows. Enjoy the Happy Swimmers cottage!

Nostalgic and Beautiful

We had a wonderful stay! Jenn is absolutely wonderful, and the property was cozy, clean, and full of beautiful vintage pieces. It was bigger than we expected, and the deck was the perfect place to relax and take in the view. Great stay with wonderful memories!

Father’s Day with the kids

The house was perfect for us. We enjoyed the lake and sand bottom. House was very clean. Jenn was very accommodating. We will come back again.

Lovely getaway

We enjoyed a few days in waupaca! What a great place. We loved that there were kayaks and paddle boards available to use. We had some issues getting in when we first got there but Jenn and Mark helped us out instantly! The location was perfect for where we wanted to be. There was also plenty of space in the house. There were 2 couples and we had plenty of room. I would definitely recommend this place.

Very nice place

Nice place, and we had a good time. We were concerned about the younger kids on that high deck and all those steps to the water, but our niece, who has three boys (one new borne) thought the steps gave her time to recognize an errant child and retrieve them before they got to the water. It was a family outing, and it was great to bond again with a niece and nephew and their kids and spouses.

Observations

Despite a few snags in the beginning (no bar soap , no spare toilet paper in bathroom but found it later on lower level). Freezer in dire need of defrosting. Deck and front entrance needed sweeping. In general, however, the place was very comfortable an the view was great.

Round Lake Getaway

"Retro" yes, but more than I had expected. Surprised there was no dishwasher. Nice that we could get Netflix, but would have been better to be able to get regular network channels.

Thanks Ken for your feedback. You were a great guest. Just to note, the listing’s amenities section didn’t state having a dishwasher or cable service, only WiFi. But thanks to your feedback, I’ve specifically emphasized that now for future guests. Most just use their own computer and the HDMI cable to the smart tv. Thank you again. You are my first vrbo guest and a fall guest at that. Kind wishes.
