Welcome to Sun Kissed West! This cozy, small dog friendly, Ft Morgan duplex beach cottage is the perfect, affordable choice for your gulf front vacation! The first thing you'll notice when you arrive is the new, expansive deck that will provide you with spectacular sunset views! Imagine yourself on one of the Polywood lounge chairs watching the sun sink below the horizon.

This adorable cottage has an open floor plan with comfortable seating area where you'll get more of that million-dollar view. You'll find counter stools for dining and a full kitchen for fixing simple meals. For those nights when you want to dine out, you can make the 15-minute scenic drive into town or try one of many tasty local options.

The master bedroom features a king bed where you can wake up to the amazing Gulf view. The second bedroom has a full bed and a twin over twin bunk. This home has one full bath and one-half bath. Guests really appreciate the convenience of having a house right on the beach. Returning for drink refills, snacks or quick nap takes just seconds.

Need more space? Consider renting Sun Kissed East, right new door!

Fort Morgan

Located a scenic 15 miles from Gulf Shores, you'll find everything you need close at hand. Dollar General and Sassy Bass Market are just a few miles away and have all the basics you might need. There are several restaurants nearby offering a variety of tasty dishes. Tacky Jack's, Sassy Bass (2 locations), Coast and brand-new Jesse's (opening soon) to name a few. Some venues even offer live, local entertainment.

Fort Morgan fishing pier is now open, and anglers will have access to convenient inshore fishing and the abundant species locally available.

Be sure and visit nearby Bon Secour Wildlife Refuge with over 7,000 acres of coastal habit. You'll be able to hike through the preserve and observe local flora and fauna. There are 4 trails, varying in size and terrain and you'll definitely want to make time to visit this natural oasis.

A bit of a disappointment

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was less than satisfactory. The kitchen sink did not have hot water. There were unsightly damages in the walls in a few places. The baseboards in one area were pulling away from the wall and indicating substandard construction. When we first pulled up to the unit the a/c was visible up above and it was rusted and old looking; a little unnerving. It did work well, however. Overall, the place was less than we expected.

We were certainly not aware of any hot water issues and would have been happy to address that for you during your stay. We provide multiple avenues of communication and have staff readily available to assist at all times. We will certainly have our maintenance check on any damage to the walls that you may be referring to. The salt air can certainly wreak havoc on AC condensers and sometimes they do have rust present but generally that doesn’t affect function! Amazing place for a relaxing beach weekend.

Private, right on the ocean, clean, and comfortable. We laid out on the deck, watched dolphins play the the morning, enjoyed the ocean, and had a completely relaxing, wonderful weekend here that was everything we could have hoped.

A Great stay

We had an absolutely lovely time at Fort Morgan and with my 3 and 11 year olds and my 66 year old father this was the perfect spot as it was nice and cozy and right on the beach. This is actually our second stay at this location and they have even updated the property since we first stayed 2 years ago. Hope to be back again!
