This is the ideal place to get away and relax. Beautiful home that was well cleaned and maintained. Kids loved the pool and the adults loved the outside space to relax. Highly recommend!
The property was as described and there was plenty of space for our group. We were in town for a wedding and it was the perfect house for a group of 10. The amenities were plentiful and the Host was quick to respond to our questions. Check in and check out were simple. Great communication! The pool was refreshing in the summer heat! would highly recommend!
The house was perfect! We had more than enough space to spread out, but the common areas were large enough for us to eat or play games together! We made most of our meals at the house and had everything we needed to cook for 8 people. The hosts were wonderful! I think the only “negative” part of the stay was being so close to the train depot - the trains ran multiple times both day and night, and the noise interfered with some of our group’s sleep, but by the end of the week we had grown accustomed to the horns.
Very clean and pretty. Front steps and master bathtub difficult for older people. Would suggest hand rails for these. Master toilet was repaired, property owner to replace and was apologetic about the trouble. Overall nice property, beautiful old home.
We had a wonderful time staying here! Beautiful home with all the amenities and comforts we could imagine! We enjoyed hanging on the outdoor patio and by the lovely pool!
We stayed at the Charleston hosted by Mary for my sister in laws wedding. It was the perfect space for our family. Not only is the home very historical but it also has a lot of modern features which everyone loved. Mary communicated well and professionally during the process and before check in and said to reach out if something happen. We will stay here again for sure.
The owners were so friendly and quick to help with anything that came up. The pool was great start and end to a hot day of hiking! Beds are very comfortable and spacious. Will definitely stay again!
Loved everything about this place. The uniqueness of this older house was so intriguing. Can’t wait to book again with just the family. Only thing missing is a hot tub lol
We stayed here on a short weekend trip, enjoyed the pool and all the clean rooms. It’s a short drive to the Hiwassee river to kayak. Also a short drive to Cleveland for some nice restaurants. Would definitely recommend!
Brought up a group of young people from church for a rafting trip. Stayed 2 nights in this beautiful home! It is the coolest home, decorated amazingly, pool is an added bonus. All had the greatest time!
The house had absolutely everything we could have needed! Whitewater rafting all morning, then a great Poolside BBQ with friends! Owners super nice and quick to respond! We had 12 people and needed nothing extra! Beds are super comfortable! Great place for a big group, plenty of privacy and big areas to gather!
We will absolutely be staying here next year!!
From the time we walked in to the time we walked out the place is just gorgeous. I love the historic look everything about this place. The character was awesome. My son got married this past weekend and it was 32 minutes from the venue, which was perfect all back roads and it was nice to come back to a cozy place to stay. They have everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be renting Again for other family things and golf trips. If you need a place between Chattanooga and Cleveland, this is the place. Very nice people..
The house was great, very clean and unique as you might expect from a historic home. Unfortunately there was a very active train track behind the house and every time a train went by it would blow a loud whistle to acknowledge its presence or perhaps because it was passing a nearby station. This happened multiple times each night and was startling.
We were in town for white water rafting and loved the proximity of this rental to the rafting. We had a group of 14 so finding a house to fit everyone was a challenge but this house delivered! The home itself is so charming and full of architectural details you just don't see every day. The bedrooms and bathrooms were well stocked with linens and towels. Plenty of room for everyone. We really enjoyed the back porch and pool area to relax after our excursion. We were pleasantly surprised to find the bed size and count had been updated from the listing giving us more options for sleeping arrangements. The location of this home was great for dining out. Everything seemed to be within a 20 minute drive. The only con was the proximity of the train track that was very active. I would caution families with young children to maybe not choose this home just for the amount of times the train horn blew throughout the night and directly behind the home. It wasn't a deal breaker for our group but I imagine trying to keep babies and young children asleep through the night would be difficult because of this. Also we appreciated the coffee maker was a k-pod style with lots of coffee options and sugar/creamer selections offered were very thoughtful. TVs in most rooms for any down time needed. Hosts were great to communicate with and made sure our stay was cozy and pleasant.
Everything went well. The only disappointment was that on the website the 1st picture you see is of the pool full of water but when we got there was no water in the pool. That was the deal breaker for me in picking the particular house to use. So my boys were quite disappointed at that.
