This is a nice home nestled in a beautiful wooded area. Very clean and comfortable, nice attention to detail. It’s in close proximity to Bayfield, which is a hidden gem of the Great Lakes area. We’ve been to 49 states, and this area is one of our favorites.
We really enjoyed staying at the Carriage House! It had everything we needed. It has a lovely deck with a limited but beautiful lake view, and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. We enjoyed the peaceful location and will definitely consider it next time!
Very neat and clean. Really enjoyed the view and the walks along the road and path behind the house. Was very quiet and relaxing to enjoy after all of the exploring we did in the surrounding areas. We would love to return in the summer months to explore more and pick fresh berries.
Nice house in quiet neighborhood. It has a big yard below with a fire pit. The trees hadn't leaved out yet so we enjoyed the Lake Superior view. Had to air out the house each time entering as it has a musty smell. May be the time of year and how rainy it was during our stay. Overall a comfortable place!
This was a nice house, well located for our winter stay. It's private and secluded, but just off the Brownstone Trail and a quick drive into town or to the ski hill. The fireplace was lovely and kept us warm despite single digit temps. Our family of four fit comfortably and cooked all of our own meals. The open living room/kitchen layout is perfect, and the view is beautiful. Our only real complaint was a lack of coat hooks and towel bars (though I think the house was recently remodeled, so those may be coming).

The cottage was beautiful and well maintained. There's an easy walking trail at the bottom of the hill. There were very few people around, making it very quiet. I loved the great room, but the furniture isn't very comfortable so it's not as enjoyable as it could be. But the view out the huge sliding doors is incredible. The bedrooms and bath were nice and the beds were comfortable. Small, but very functional kitchen.
Location, leaf colors were great. The bench at the table was dangerously close to falling apart. There was no porch light, all the furniture was terribly uncomfortable. The ceiling fan was inoperable as well. Disappointing to say the least. Parking was in the grass/mud and there were cobwebs all around the entry door. Not even a cork screw.
The property was exactly as advertised -- and perfect for us. The management was the best in all the VRBO's I've ever rented. I had a problem understanding how to work the cable tv system and someone appeared very quickly to set everything right. Friendly and efficient. Impressive and helpful.
