Completely renovated with all new flooring, new bath, new kitchen and new paint in March 2023. This condo is beautiful and bright and will always be a favorite for your family.

Gulf 103 is a favorite for so many. We can't stop talking about how convenient this condo is to everything on the Gulf side. Gulf side pool is right outside the sliding glass doors. The picnic, gym and the walkway to the beach are right beside this condo. No other condo can compare! The Lazy River is a short walk across the Pedestrian Bridge to the Bayside. Don't forget, there is also a marina on Bayside for you and family to fish from.

Open Concept living room/kitchen/dining area offers views with floor to ceiling patio doors that lead out to your own view of the pool. Master bedroom has a king size bed and Private bathroom. There is also a bunk room with it's own private bath and sleeper sofa in the living room. The kitchen is equipped with every tool needed to make a gourmet meal or a quick bite in between pool and beach stops and the picnic area just outside has charcoal grills available for your use. We have tv's in each of the bedroom equipped with cable. Wi-fi is free and we do have a washer and dryer for your convenience as well.

Destin West is in a prime location. Convenient to restaurants, shopping, or strolling the beach. You won't have to go very far to find something for everyone. The fishing pier is a nice walking distance from the condo where you can fish or catch a good sunset. We have so many pools to choose from on beach side and bayside as well as a 700-foot lazy river, several hot tubs and a marina. These will keep your family busy during your stay for sure.

Great area. Walking distance to mini golf & arcade and boardwalk with restaurants and shopping. Access to many pools and lazy river. Loved this place.

Ground floor was awesome!

We have been to the resort before but this unit was great being on the ground floor. Everything was great, kitchen was stocked well, plenty of towels, very clean. Might need to upgrade the bunk bed mattresses they were a little thin, but other than that everything else was perfect.

Perfect Week

We had a wonderful week! This property is so close to the beach and my family loved the pools on the property. This was the first year that we chose to stay at the same condo as the year prior. We hope to return next year as well.

Overall great stay. Location is amazing. Could have been a little bit cleaner- dishwasher needs cleaned and handles on fridge felt like they had build up. Bunk mattresses not the best. Loved the set up and easy access to the pool and beach. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Family Vacation

Rental was perfect for the kids. Room is closest to entry of the beach and pool front. The beach setup is mostly pay for by rental company who has the entire front views of the gulf. Family and I found this to be an issue since the beach is so large and you have to pay 40.00/day rental fee. This is great for families with kids.

Awesome unit!

Location is great. Closest to beach & barbecue pits. One of the gates to pool is right next to patio and people often let it go and it slams. But we knew this before going. Doesn’t happen enough to not use this unit. There is no kitchen table inside but there is a nice table on the patio and bar stools. After looking at 3 other units in our group we had the best. Sliding door was easy to use compared to others. And our unit was way cleaner than others upon arrival. Everyone else in our group rented through DWBB. Being from NOLA we brought any specific kitchen utensils we needed but forgot a barbecue basting brush. They have a very basic supply buy no basting brushes.

Disappointed with Destin West G103

1st night and there was 2 cockroaches in the master bed & bath. I text maintenance pest control came next morning. Operations Mgr said they were palmetto bugs call what you want but they were cockroaches even google says the are the same thing. Curtain over sliding glass door and rod needed replaced long ago they are nasty. Striped chair in living room is filthy springs have rusted thru seat. Shower rod in master bath is bad rusted needs replaced. Fridge light is broke freezer ice maker freezes up and dishwasher leaks. Exhaust fan in master bath has a inch of dust barely works. Living room couch and entertainment center needs switched when air is on you freeze on the couch. Overall I was severly disappointed with this unit we've stated at Destin West several times with different rental companies. I will never again rent from this rental company.

Amy, thank you for your review. As explained, these were palmetto bugs and are super common in Florida and they do come in when doors are left open. We do advise to make sure to keep the doors left closed. They commonly move after it rains and near palm trees, which we had a ton of both. We did send pest control to spray as soon as you contacted us though. We would have loved to hear about any of your other concerns when I contacted you, but we have already sent maintenance in this morning to address any of these possible issues. I do believe you are more disappointed that we did not refund you when you saw the 2 palmetto bugs as you suggested in your email on the first day and waited to respond until after check out with these other issues. Best wishes though for your future stays.

Fall Break 2022

My family and I have been coming to Destin West Resorts on Okaloosa Island for many years. We love the amenities that a first floor condo has. This condo is an awesome location. Close to the beach, pool, spa and grills. It was very clean on our arrival. I had a minor issue the first night and they responded promptly the next morning. There are a few things I noticed could be improved….bunk bath shower, loose outlets (one in the bunk room came out of the wall when I unplugged a phone charger), trim around mechanic room loose, curtains on sliding glass door aren’t very appealing, dishwasher door loose and difficult to shut, washer/dryer closet smells pungent. Typically, we have had condos that have beach toys available in the closet. There were none, but we left the ones we bought in the closet for the next family to enjoy. However, The wagon, beach umbrella and chairs were used and much appreciated. We know the difficulty of keeping up with a rental and didn’t base the opinion of our stay on cosmetic features. This is truly a lovely condo and location…..we enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. We will consider this unit for any future stays!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This unit was a great location with kids and an infant. The kids could swim while the baby napped and it was easy to get to the beach as well! The patio furniture was very updated and awesome for sitting out or even eating meals by the pool. I was nervous about the lack of counter space in the master bath but there was lots of storage in the master bath closet for toiletries, etc. There was also a coffee maker AND a Keurig. Although this was our 8th time staying at this resort, This was our first experience with Destin West Condos and they were amazing! Generous with soap and detergent and very personable and attentive. The only downside we noticed was the master bed was not very comfortable.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There were a few issues nothing major. Based on the amenties listed, I thought there was a keurig so was disappointed when it wasn’t there. In addition, the curtains in the bedroom were insufficient in keeping the sunlight from beaming in your face at sunrise. It was impossible to sleep in. Even though the mattress was new, it wasn’t that comfortable so we didn’t sleep well. The condo was somewhat equipped but don’t plan on doing much cooking. The location was perfect. Plenty of towels and beach towels. Washer and dryer worked great.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location of this rental is great! It’s on the ground floor with pool access. In addition it is a quick walk to the beach, literally you will spend more time wrangling kids and deciding if you are going to the pool or beach. Those unfortunately are the best parts of this unit. Like most units that have one primary bedroom, the bedroom is at the front of the unit. The window is right by the walkway all guest use coming back from the beach, noisy guest can easily be heard. On top of that the window treatments allow light to filter through without any blinds on the window. If you are used to your bedroom being dark at night, this unit will provide a challenge. The bed, well it is t that comfortable. Probably the least comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. The coils in the mattress can be felt individually and if you rotate in your sleep the noise and movement will disturb your spouse. If disconnecting and getting some rest is your objective, this bed will provide a challenge. We almost entertained sleeping on the pull out sofa. As for the living room, the couch is comfortable but the chair has a whole in the back support. This chair gave an impression that the unit was furnished via a yard sale. The HVAC unit is extremely loud when it kicks on interrupting the level of conversation and volume of the tv if watching a show during a passing storm. Considering the above issues it would be hard to recommend without improvements. I would stay at the property again just at another unit.

Since your stay, well over a month prior to your review, we have had multiple guests and no one has mentioned any issue about the mattress but we will investigate this immediatley. Mattress reviews can be tricky though since everyone is different in their preference. While this condo is on the walkway that leads to the beach, most of the time people are not walking to the beach in the dark which means very little traffic walking by your window at night if any. We do have room darkening shades in the master as well, which provide more benefit than blinds would, but will also be looking to see if there is anything else we can do to make this better for our guests. We would have been happy to address any of these issues had we been made aware of them during your stay through one of our multiple options to contact us. We are glad that you at least enjoyed the location of this condo to the beach and the pools.
