My daughter, granddaughter and I stayed here at this special weekend spot on High Rock Lake. It was the perfect location for us to spend the our last weekend of the summer kayaking the area lakes.

We had a great stay with our family and close friends. There was plenty of space, and tons to do without ever leaving the property! Loved swimming in the pool, fishing, and taking the kayaks out. Fully stocked kitchen allowed us to make food at the house the entire stay, opposed to going out. The view of the lake is beautiful. I enjoyed sitting in the sunroom reading my book.

Had a lovely stay at kevin's house. It has all the needed items for a long stay or a short stay. I was pleasantly surprised by the kitchen how well it was stocked. I highly recommend.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts were very responsive to any questions I asked, and they provided us with information to help make our stay enjoyable based on our specific needs. They really went out of their way to help us. The property is wonderful and we really enjoyed using the kayaks and I brought equipment to do some fishing. The house was very clean and well equipped for our needs.We would recommend staying here.

We spent several days during the Labor Day holiday here. The house is beautiful and clean inside. I was very impressed with the little extra things that the host provided throughout the house. On Labor Day my husband and I invited our children and grandchildren to join us for a meal. There were enough parking spaces for four cars in the driveway. The kitchen had everything and more that I needed to make a full course meal. Check-in was a breeze. The Host was always available to answer any questions that came up during my stay. Loved the large outdoor area. Many areas to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake views. Due to an emergency at home we had to depart early. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us. Lovely, clean, comfortable property. We rent a lot through VRBO and you can always tell when the owner really cares about it. Super clean and comfortable, provides everything you could possibly need or want and genuinely hospitable and kind. Loved the dock, hooked a monster right there and just loat it while bringing it up. Bed super comfortable. Area super quiet at night. Tons of birds to watch and hear. Can’t say enough, loved it!

This lakefront property with a pool was absolutely perfect! Comfy beds, good kitchen, great layout of home!It is 9 min from the venue Board and Batten so a perfect stay for the wedding we attended there.

We were very impressed with all the special touches. The smore's kit, fluffy towels, comfortable beds, fire for the firepit, fully stocked kitchen, kayaks(even though we didn't use them...too cold), beautiful decor and all the comfy sitting areas. We would definitely come back.

Great trip!

Great Lake access, very responsive property manager, wonderful extras (spices/games/toiletries), and a great atmosphere. If only Mother Nature would have cooperated and moved the rain and clouds along! Definitely enjoyed our stay and would come back again.

This is a great place. Very clean and well stocked. The host responds quickly. It had more than I expected. Pool and jacuzzi really made this place. Backyard overlooking water has a lot of seating and room. Looking forward to my next stay there.

Thanksgiving at the Lake

Great Stay

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Nice house, hot tub great, beautiful view, great communication with owners and they made sure there were so many extras in house you don't normally get with a rental. They thought of everything.

Beautiful lake, dock and pool, but our stay involved significant cleanliness, maintenance and safety concerns. Downstairs had numerous insects/mosquitoes and dead bugs around the bed and bathroom, so we avoided that level. We also encountered loose railings, deteriorated exterior wood and pool deck coating shedding granules. Our greatest concern was water intrusion. During a severe storm, water came through the sunroom windows and pooled immediately beside a 110V floor outlet with open receptacles. Water also entered around the ceiling-fan/electrical raceway area and dripped from the fan blade onto dining table. The fan continued intermittently dripping randomly during our stay. My husband is a home builder and saw Visible staining/deterioration around the windows and ceiling appeared consistent with an ongoing issue rather than a one-time event. We kept fan off, used towels when needed. An upstairs faucet also leaked enough when used to wet both our belongings. We came to enjoy a short vacation, not spend it documenting every issue, and managing these conditions caused unnecessary stress and tension. Upon departure, we gave the hosts a detailed account of our experience and later requested only a 30% partial refund, which was declined.The positives: the lake/dock were beautiful, we enjoyed the pool/outdoor area, and the bed was comfortable. For the price and glowing reviews, we expected a clean, well-maintained property. Sadly, that was not our experience. Thanks.

We take all guest feedback seriously and would like to clarify the timeline for future guests. During their stay, the guests described our home as “the sweetest place” and expressed excitement about their visit. Despite multiple communications, no concerns about cleanliness, leaks, or safety were reported before checkout, which would have given us the opportunity to investigate and address them. Only after checkout did the guests raise these complaints and request a 30% refund, stating they did not wish to disclose the issues in their review. We understood this as a negative review was the alternative if compensation was not provided. Before declining the refund, we reviewed the documented condition of the property which showed no visible evidence of the conditions later described. We respectfully disagree with the review's characterization and remain committed to providing excellent stays, as reflected in our history of five-star reviews.
