Welcome to Moon Dogs Getaway! We are excited to host you in our fully renovated 2 bedroom, one bath cottage with fully fenced backyard in Erie PA. At Moon Dogs you will find peace and quiet, but be close to everything fun Erie has to offer. Try the beaches at Presque Isle State Park or Waldameer and Water World amusement park. Adventure awaits!

Load and start the dishwasher

Strip any used beds and gather used towels

Remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights, lock the doors and return the keys

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

If you have an overnight stay on a Thursday, please take the trash cans to the curb and return them on Friday morning.

Dogs should not be left alone in the back yard. The fence is there as a deterrent, but any size dog can push their way under.

Please remember that this is our house. If you make a mess, clean it up. Our cleaning service is for light cleaning only.

We had a very nice stay! Everything was clean and pretty much everything you need was provided- even pet beds and treats and tennis balls. Nice quiet neighborhood, close to everything. We would definitely stay again!

Overall we enjoyed our second two week stay at Moon Dogs Getaway. It is very much as advertised: spacious, well equipped, an excellent climate system (heat and air conditioning), a large fenced backyard, quiet and shady front yard. Chris the host is excellent to work with and is responsive to any questions and concerns that arise. The challenge for us is that Moon Dogs is a pet friendly property that prides itself on welcoming dogs. For those of us with allergies and sensitivities this can create problems. It also creates challenges for routine cleaning which could have been better. Overall a fine house for kids and animal lovers.

We enjoyed our stay at Moon Dogs Getaway. Chris, the owner, responded quickly to the questions we had while checking in. The house was exactly as described and had everything we needed for our stay. It was very clean and well equipped with plenty of cleaning supplies, towels, kitchen utensils, dinner ware, utensils, and various cooking accessories. I am slightly allergic to dogs but I didn't have any issues during our stay. We didn't spend time in the back yard, but the large fire pit area looks nice and the yard has shade throughout the day. The neighborhood was quiet and it was nice being so close to Presque Isle. We will certainly consider staying again when we visit Erie.

Great dog friendly place to stay in Erie! We were there to visit family for Thanksgiving and needed a dog friendly place to stay. This place doesnt just allow dogs - they are welcomed whole heartedly! The hosts provide dog beds, bowls, and have a lovely fenced in back yard. Will absolulty look into staying here again - especially if we come in the summer since it is close the the lakefront and the waterpark.

Great for traveling with a dog

Hello there! I'm Chris and my wife Marni and I are the host for Moon Dogs Getaway, however my full time gig is an interior designer at my company Studio 42 Design. We currently have three dogs, Remi, Theo, and Georgie who just love trips to the cottage. We are huge craft beer fans and never miss a good live show. We live in Pittsburgh, but I have been coming to Erie for summers since before I was born and also attended Mercyhurst University way back in the day. We look forward to you staying with us!
