About this property

Walking distance to the ski resort! Welcome to Mt. Chillmore.

Newly renovated, the location of our townhouse is convenient to all the wonders of Beech Mountain! It is walking distance to the ski slopes and great hiking trails. There are restaurants, parks, and a sledding hill within 1 mile. The townhouse has new furniture, mattresses, granite countertops, and a cozy gas fireplace for a relaxing evening after a day of adventuring! There is a washer/dryer and the kitchen is fully stocked with cookware, including a crockpot, blender and coffee pot. There is no air conditioning but the summer temperatures on Beech are mild (average 75 degrees) and each bedroom has a fan.

The townhouse is three stories with two bedrooms - one queen and 4 single bunks - and a bathroom on the first level. The queen bedroom has a balcony with a ski swing outside to relax and enjoy the view. The kitchen and family room are on the second floor, along with a balcony and a beautiful view of the mountain. The third floor has the master bedroom and bathroom.

We had a wonderful stay in the mountains! The home was incredibly comfortable and spotless – it truly felt like a home away from home. Communication was amazing! We stayed here when an ice storm hit and the resort closed down. We were all frustrated but the host allowed us to stay passed the check out since no one was coming in the next day. This was very kind of her. We will definitely come back.

Kelsie was a wonderful host. The condo is very convenient to the slopes. We had a wonderful weekend of over 12” of fresh snow and highly recommend 4wd. Other cars were skidding even with snow chains. Power went out for a brief time Sunday morning but Kelsie was very responsive and the gas fireplace heated well. It was back on shortly! Hot water does not last long. We had a group of 5 and usually the first 2 were the only ones with hot showers. Overall a wonderful stay!

Super quiet condo in the middle of town, very close to the Land of Oz. Fantastic host who was always very quick to respond to communication. The bunk room was perfect for the cousins to snooze together and I was able to sleep in the top floor away from the talking! We would certainly stay again.

Family Get-away

Our stay was perfect! Condo is very close to the Beech Man Resort and since parking was maxed out on the days we had tix (between Christmas and New Year's) we were able to easily walk. Condo was well-equipped and super clean. The lay-out worked perfectly for our group and when we're back in the area, we'll definitely be booking again!

Overall it was cute, tidy and perfectly located for our last minute trip. We got lucky to find it. Only lacked in the cleanliness department with regard to the kids bed sheets and bathrooms.

We are a family of 5 with three adventurous daughters! We fell in love with Beech Mountain several years ago during a trip with friends to explore. It amazed us how much each of our daughters took to hiking, river walking, and exploring (and of course collecting ALL the sticks, acorns, rocks that they could carry!). They were so happy just being outside in nature that we knew we found a special place. We started looking for a place to fix up and rent so we could enjoy time on the mountain and provide a place for other families (especially with young children like ours) to do the same. We've been working on our townhouse for almost a year and finally are ready to share it!

Why they chose this property

We saw so much potential in this property when we started our search. The location was perfect, we liked having two bedrooms on one floor, the living space in the middle, and the third story for additional friends or grandparents! We can walk to most places we want to explore while we're here and that's a huge benefit for us!

What makes this property unique

Our location makes our place exceptional. With the ski slope in walking distance, you do not have to worry about driving and parking. Beech Mountain Resort has so much to offer year round. Skiing, snowboarding and tubing in the winter (with ice skating coming next year!) and mountain biking in the summer. Riding the ski lift to the 5506' Skybar in the summer offers amazing views and live music.
