About this property

Hill House is the perfect place to stay in downtown Blowing Rock. It sits less than a block away from historic Main Street on the edge of a quiet local neighborhood. Stroll downtown to enjoy locally owned restaurants, shops, breweries and the Blowing Rock Art & History Museum. Then enjoy a private evening at home, relaxing in front of a fire or enjoying the outdoor hot tub and patio space. This completely updated and upscale home is the perfect spot for a family trip, ski week, romantic getaway or a friends trip.

There are two bedrooms upstairs, each with a Queen bed and one with bunk beds (twin over full). The open space upstairs includes a well appointed kitchen, a full bath, a large dining area, and a comfortable living room with a gas fireplace. From the balcony or the comfort of your living room, you can watch as the leaves change, the snow falls, or people walk along Main Street. In the summer, you can sit outside and enjoy the music from the Speckled Trout.
Downstairs is another living area with a foosball table, comfortable seating, and a sofa bed. The bedroom downstairs boasts a king bed and a luxurious ensuite. A door also leads outside to the hot tub which is mere feet away - convenient for those who like a warm soak on those cold winter nights.
Hill House is not only adjacent to downtown Main Street but is nearby to many popular attractions such as The Blowing Rock, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Appalachian Ski Mountain, Tweetsie Railroad, and the Glen Burney Falls Trail. Blowing Rock is very dog friendly, and we are too. You may bring up to three of your dogs, and they stay free. There are two private driveways which hold 3-4 vehicles in total. This is a full-time rental which is professionally cleaned and cared for.
*Please note that there is a lot of construction in and around Blowing Rock currently, and this includes the area around the home. This is expected to continue through mid-September. Some degree of noise and traffic should be expected during this time.

Downtown location is ideal

We cannot say enough good things about this property and it’s location. Communication from owners was great. Hot tub, two level living spaces, walking distance to downtown Blowing Rock. I highly recommend this property and we will be back.

Great Location - Very Attentive Owners

Absolutely unbeatable location. You are the first property before getting onto main street. The property is well maintained and the layout is great for multiple family of friends. The owners are very attentive. We were able to communicate with them directly and their follow up was superb. We just got back from our trip yesterday and cannot wait to head back. I would highly recommend this rental based on location, cleanliness and communications with the owners. You will not be let down and the town of Blowing Rock is beautiful!

Here is a little bit about us: after many fun family trips to Blowing Rock our family moved to town from Wilmington, NC in January of 2021. We bought this awesome house with plans to turn it into a short-term rental so that more people can experience downtown Blowing Rock. We then spent nine months completely renovating Hill House. We named it Hill House as it is located on a hill and its address is 334 Hill Street. As a family we began calling it Hill House for clarity when making plans for its renovations, and the name stuck!

We are a family of four (Kris and Doug and sons Ben and Alex ). All four of us are huge gamers of all genres. You'll notice there are tons of board (and other) games around the house and in hidden areas as well as a foosball table. We hope you'll have some time to enjoy the games as well as all of the wonderful adventures Blowing Rock has to offer.

Why they chose this property

Hill House is perfectly located one building off of Main Street in downtown Blowing Rock. You have both privacy and easy access to all of the local restaurants and shops downtown. The home is recently renovated, cozy, and has plenty of amenities.
