We enjoyed the quiet location of this cabin. Delightful for sitting out on the deck early morning listening to bird song and seeing the sun break through the mist down the road. We appreciated the effort to use furnishings that enhanced the age of the cabin and gave us memories from our childhood. Everything inside the cabin was clean!!The kitchen was amazing, supplied with everything we needed to cook our breakfast and dinner. Nice refrig and freezer!!! So nice to have a washer and drier!!! That was a bonus. The beds are comfortable and it was nice to have a table and lamp on each side. A big thank you to Jack for patiently answering our questions and responding promptly. For us it was a perfect place to relax and have easy access to the national Park.
We enjoyed our stay. The property was beautiful and the location was perfectly located. We felt the kitchen could have had a few more accessories. Maybe a scrubby or dish clothe to wash up with. The property accommodates for 4 people but only 2 coffee mugs and no tea cups, and only 3 glasses for wine. The cribbage board didn't have any pegs, not sure about the other games if all the pieces were there. Overall I would highly recommend this place.
This was the second time I have stayed in this cabin. It is located very conveniently to the Townsend entrance to GSMNP. It is cozy and attractive. If you have kids, there are marbles, games, and books, a corn hole set for adults or kids, and plenty of places to sit and enjoy nature. I sat in the screened porch to drink my coffee most mornings, and watched a pileated woodpecker for half an hour one evening. I will definitely be back!

Cabin was rustic and charming with all the amenities we required. And it was very clean! Great location within a few minutes of restaurants and stores. Townsend is a great area to stay in to avoid the touristy areas and have some peace and quiet. We took day trips and had a wonderful time exploring the Smokies!
There is no better feeling than walking into a home you rented and it’s EXACTLY how it’s described in the listing. A perfect combination of rustic and modern: great shower, hot water, fridge and dishwasher all tucked into a cute mountain cabin. My son and I very much enjoyed our quiet little hideaway in the Smokies. It was clean and we very much appreciated the little helpful amenities left for us: paper towel, trash bags, soaps for kitchen and bathroom, coffee filters, toilet paper. The owner was very quick and responsive with the few questions I had. They even had recommendations for food and entertainment in the area. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend this cabin for your mountain adventures!
The cabin is rustic and secluded, but very convenient to Townsend and Cades Cove. When I reached out to the host with questions, I was answered almost immediately. Everything was as advertised. I also enjoyed the homey touches, such as handmade blankets and vintage furnishings and decor. I will definitely book this again.
Beautiful home; very clean and comfortable. The hosts were easy to communicate with. I loved the screened-in porch! It was very quiet and “in the woods”, but easy to access and not far from Townsend. I would definitely want to stay here again.

First of all, this is the first time that I have ever needed to send a picture of my drivers license (front and back) to the property management before getting my final reservation details. (Access code for the cabin). Upon arrival, I noticed there was no maintenance on the outside. Gutters full of limbs and leaves, concrete and exterior of house is green with mildew from constant shade and plenty of mosquitos attack you when walking from the truck to the house from dampness. Exterior not maintained at all. We entered the cabin and the floors were like walking into an enclosed porch. Half porch gray, half sanded and spongy feeling, especially the bedrooms. I wasn't comfortable just wearing socks. The floors aren't level. The refrigerator sets tilted as well. I paid the 89 for insurance in case we damaged anything but we should be refunded some of our money that we rented this house for. The property owners really needs to do some work on this house. Pressure wash the entire outside, hang bug lights, trim trees away from house, install flooring. The ceiling is covered with wood slats removed from a shed as well. I hate to be so negative about this rental, but this house really needs some work. It blew me away when I got there, because there were some good reviews. I just was confused on how they could have been for this property. The location is easily accessible.
Cozy cabin with a delightful rustic feel. Modern conceninces were great (having WiFi was great for planning and looking up local places). The host was very responsive whenever we communicated. Excellent location for day hikes in the Smokies. Townsend is a very charming town. It would have been nice to have the patio string lights working (though the host did offer to send someone to check them out) but it didn't truly detract from our stay. Would definitely stay here again!
The cabin was exactly as described. We wanted to be away from the hustle and bustle of the major tourist cities in the area. This spot was perfect. Townsend is a clean town with great access to the park. The food/ice cream options met our needs. The cabin was rustic and clean. We spent each night playing Uno Flip in the screened in porch. Washer and dryer was a big plus! We’d stay here again! Ps. Communication was friendly and timely. Very straight forward and easy to understand.
Property was nice, quiet. They could have done a super clean before we arrived. There was dead bugs on the counter & floor. Also, the screened in porch could have been cleaned.
The manager was quick to help with a missing code for the door and an unusuable fire pit with a refund. The floors were being refinished and were beyond soft at points where you could fall through. We had to wear slippers or socks the entire trip due to the condition of them. The land it's on doesn't have anywhere for the kids to play. There's broken glass and materials thrown around an old shack by the cabin. The washer and dryer are a great addition after hiking but the washer is loud and on it's last leg. Location is close to the main strip in Townsend. Townsend is our favorite place to relax when in the Smokies
Disappointed that the fan didn’t work as well as the patio string lights. Was looking forward to hanging out on the patio in the evening. Since the thermostat was on a locked timer I had to stay up until 11:30 pm to change settings for the air conditioner so I could be comfortable during the night. We did end up leaving a day early.
We stayed at the property for 7 days/6 nights. It was just the right size for me, my husband, and our twin 6 year old daughters. It had everything we needed to cook and make it our home away from home for the week. The cabin is located in the woods on a small partially paved road. Since I live in a city, I loved being secluded for a change.
We were in Tennessee visiting my mom who lives closer to Knoxville and we wanted a place in between her house and Pigeon Forge. This cabin was perfect. We were about 40-50 mins from Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Plus we were really close to the entrance to the Smokey Mountains. I definitely recommend doing the scenic loop at Cades Cove.
This was a very clean, very comfortable retreat. This location in Townsend, the “Peaceful Side” of the GSMNP, was perfect. The cabin is 3/4 mile off the main road so it is close to everything, but peaceful and quiet. We even saw a mama bear and three cubs amble by one morning. Completely recommend!
