The description of the home is inaccurate - Not really a walkable location - more like a hike with proper equipment, a futon in a room up a spiral staircase to the tower is not a bedroom. Realize three of the “bedrooms” are open lofts and have very little privacy and only one sleeping area has closet space for hanging items. Many issues with the condition of the home. Burnt out bulbs in several areas. Ceiling fans broken. Futon frame broken. AC/Heat ineffective in several areas. Kitchen not fully stocked. Broken bracket for handheld shower in bathroom - the shower head literally hanging by the hose. I called the owner, and he informed me he was aware. He stated the part needed was on order. Some guidance - go buy a new handheld shower head kit at Lowe’s and replace the whole thing - a paying guest should not have to discover this. Now, here are some positives. The owner returned my call timely. The view is amazing. Outdoor area - hot tub, fire pit, and fireplace are nice touches. Short drive to grocery store, Chimney Rock, and Lake Lure. Very quiet and beautiful gated community.
Annual cousin/family getaway. Cabin was perfect in size. And even in location to get to all the little local shops or a little further out to towns and such to explore. Amazing view. The little beach on the grounds was great.
The property was perfect for our family of 7 vacation. The views were amazing, the cabin was beautiful and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub and just sitting on the porch for hours. Once the downstairs is complete it will truly be the best property for a great price. Hope to book again next year
A lovely location- perfect place to relax and unwind. The views are beautiful, mountains and lake. The home was well maintained and very clean and the hot tub was wonderful. 5 star home.
We had a wonderful week at Lake Lure. The house was beautiful!
My only critiques would be that it’s not setup for toddlers and the porch furniture was rickety and uncomfortable.
Overall…a great week!
We booked our stay three months in advance and I’m glad we did! We planned meals and activities ahead so we could enjoy the property and enjoy our company! The pictures and description are so much better than specified. We were pleasantly happy with how beautiful and clean every thing was. The community amenities were easy to get to, we enjoyed the quiet pleasantness!

Well maintained, amazing cabin and location for family!
Spent 5 days here. The cabin is large and spacious, well maintained. Enjoyed that the Christmas tree was still up for us, even though it was New Year's. Kids enjoyed the location, the rooms, including the top room (crow's nest?). We would definitely stay here again. Also got to make a little drone video from the Riverbend neighborhood, and includes the cabin: F1-Drones.com

Watching afternoon rain showers come across mountains was an experience for the children and adults. The interior of the home was lovely all wood and traditional mountain cabin. Wish we had discovered the private lake with beach at the beginning of our stay. The Lake Lure boat tour was informative and enjoyed by all of us. We would definitely visit this home again for another mountain visit.

This cabin offered a breath taking view while easily housing 8 adults and 1 seven year old. The amenities were fantastic! My seven year old, and several of the adults, loved the retro arcade machine in the basement. There was plenty of common space for everyone to gather and enjoy each others company, but then also plenty of reclusive spots for when individuals needed a breather from the "family atmosphere." My favorite part of the whole trip was just sitting on the front porch with my morning cup, or 3, of coffee and looking out across the small lake toward the mountains in the distance. Being from the coast, I found this to be a gorgeous view!
Wonderful cabin! Stunning view of Chimney Rock and area. Relaxing, quiet, cozy and everything we needed to make our first Christmas without our parents enjoyable. As another mentioned, you should know 2 bedrooms are more loft like bedrooms. Not a problem for us as we were on a similar schedule but could be a challenge for some depending on your party. Easy drive to other parts of western NC. Great place to relax and enjoy.

WARNING CABIN INFESTED WITH BATS!!!!
When we arrived we were so excited to spend the weekend in this beautiful cabin. The views are amazing! The house was very clean and accommodating to our expectations. Our first night was great and we even used the fire pit for s’mores. That is where the excitement ended. Around 11pm my young daughter and wife were in the loft bedroom when bats started to fly around inside the house. We called the contact for the management company and they did answer and offer us a “comparable” cabin for the night and weekend. We packed up a family of five in the rain at midnight and moved to the “comparable cabin” for the night. The cabin was in the community and about a 15 minute drive. When we arrived we quickly realized the only “comparable” part of the cabin was the size. No King size beds, one working TV in house, no views, no hot tub, yellow water that smelled and a house that was very lived in. The next morning I began to text the property manager and ask about a refund for the inconvenience and if we would have to stay in this cabin all weekend. I was told I could only have a partial refund for night one due to the other fees being with VRBO and the remaining balance wound either cover this “comparable” cabin or we could leave by 11:30 am. I asked for a full refund and to have the cabin comped for the weekend, that was refused. I then asked for the full night one stay to be refunded and 40.00 a night for nights 2 and 3. The manager text me this was absurd and I was provided a “bigger/similar” cabin within an hour of the BATS! Being that we were here on spring break with 3 kids we decided to not argue further and stay the weekend in the “comparable” cabin. The manager ended up refunding us 75% of first night stay and took the rest of the money for night 2 and 3. The property manager was polite but seemed more concerned with VRBO fees/Cleaning Fee and property owner being paid than our satisfied stay. I would not recommend you stay in this cabin until the owner shows proof that BATS have been removed by a professional. My wife and I both got the sense that that was not a big deal to management company or the first time they have had complaint. BATS guano carries a deadly disease for humans called Histoplasmosis and we had multiple flying over my daughter and wife’s head. I am sure there are many more we did not see.

This guest did indeed have a problem. Doors had been left open after dark for hours and it seems two bats were able to get in the house. Our pest control company were able to catch both of them and remove them Monday morning. We have never had an issue with bats in a house before or since.. There was never an infestation, there were two bats though on the main level.
We provided another cabin for the guests within the hour. We fully refunded the first night. The guest then wanted to stay at the new cabin for the next 3 days at no cost and threatened to write a nasty review if the entire stay was not free including the housekeeping. fee. Both homes were left in very poor condition. The guest was offered a full refund if they chose not to stay. They stayed the full four days . The cabin the guest was provided was an equally nice cabin. It was a very unfortunate event and we were happy to be able to remedy the problem so the guests were able to enjoy their stay. The guest did decide to leave a nasty review with the promised false info. The guest did send an email after the 4 day stay again asking for a full refund in exchange for no review. Please see our other 5 star reviews.
A friend and I had a 2 night stay and it was absolutely perfect!
The home is just lovely and very clean. The porch overlooking the mountains is where we spent most of our time. From morning coffee to star gazing at night it was wonderful. The fireplace and hot tub downstairs were the perfect place to unwind as well! Communication with the owner was easy with quick response time. Make sure to also check out the beach area and nature walk trail within the neighborhood! We’ve decided this home will be perfect for our annual girl’s trip. Highly recommend!
Lovely home in peaceful setting. Enjoyed the beautiful surroundings from the deck. Chairs on the deck were wonderful for napping or contemplating life. Only thing to be aware of is two of the three main bedrooms are lofts and it can be quite noisy if you are not all on the same sleep schedule. Lots of wood so sound carries. Other than that everything was great. Good response from management crew on any questions. Hot tub was a nice plus. Would definitely recommend if you all go to bed at the same time. Hate to say anything negative because it was lovely, just noisy when we have friends who like to stay up much later than we do.
We Thoroughly Enjoyed our stay! The view was absolutely beautiful. The property manager was very easy to contact! One of my favorite things to do was to sit by the gas logs drink coffee and wait for the sun to rise over the mountain, which was a beautiful sight!! We were with family, but if you are planning on going with friends you need to know that only the bedroom the one downstairs has a door for privacy the other bedrooms do not. I loved the view and the hot tub was wonderful!!
