Suite Old Testaccio, lovely apartment, completely renovated, in one of the most important neighborhoods of Rome, a few steps from Coliseum, the Baths of Caracalla, the Circus Maximus and the heart of the old Rome.

Suite Old Testaccio è uno splendido appartamento, completamente ristrutturato, situato in uno dei quartieri più importanti di Roma, a pochi passi dal Colosseo, le Terme di Caracalla, il Circo Massimo ed il cuore della Roma antica.

Quick stop in Rome

Great location and hosts. My only concern was that I had trouble regulating the temperature, and consequently was a bit cold.

Short visit

I’d stay here again! Was a terrific location. Small apartment with pretty much everything needed. Only problem were instructions on how to use hot water, and no instruction on how to use the hob/stove. I figured out the water. Never figured out gas stove and didn’t want to fool around with gas! My impressions are also based on coming from North America, with different systems, and no restriction on house heating. I was cold. Not very soundproofed, as I could hear the other couple fairly clearly😳. And patio/outside space was’nt quite as romantic as I thought. But as I said, it was well appointed; I’d ask for more help next time, which I hope thete will be 😉

Cozy and comfy

We enjoyed this property. The hosts were responsive, able to accommodate us before the check-in time, and gave us plenty of tips/information for our visit to Rome. Small but cozy and quiet, this rental was nicely furnished, clean, and smelled nice. The floor plan near the closet does get tight, forcing you to move a door to gain full access to the closet. I also liked the steel gate with the old fashioned looking key to the rental. If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the main areas, definitely give this place a look. The neighborhood did appear a bit rough but we didn’t run into any incidents and I became more comfortable with it as time progressed. It’s a 25 min walk from the touristy areas, which is what we did every time. Crazy right? But it’s decent since it’s along the Tiber River! You can rent a bike or scooter to shorten the travel time drastically. I’d look elsewhere if mobility is an issue unless you don’t mind taking their public transportation. Highly recommended!
