Traditional Mallorcan house with rustic, partly original furnishings and a large terrace with panoramic views of the sea, village and Tramuntana mountains. Own swimming pool with sea view.

Quiet, secluded location away from roads, which cannot be overlooked from other properties, and yet only a 10-minute walk to the center of the mountain village of Banyalbufar with cafes, shops, restaurants and a bay with a rock and pebble beach, ideal for snorkelling.

Large garden over several dry stone wall terraces, with citrus trees and Mediterranean plants, and various seating.

Only half an hour by car to Palma and yet away from tourism.
Ideal for vacationers who are looking for peaceful relaxation in a natural environment.

Banyalbufar is an ideal starting point for spectacular hikes in the Tramuntana Mountains, especially in autumn and spring. You can walk straight into the mountains from our property. The long-distance hiking trail GR221, the "dry stone route", passes close to the house and, well signposted, leads to various circular routes of various lengths, which always open up new, wonderful views.

Another wonderful stay

A further return to this favoured part of the island and our favourite place to stay The location is wonderful being incredibly private but also walkable to village facilities ( an uphill climb but for anyone staying in this area this is fairly standard) The property is well equipped and comfortable with stunning views from inside and out and amazing outside space

A little slice of paradise

The cottage was beautiful and simple. Exactly what we were looking for. The views were spectacular. The only note I would make is that guest should be aware that the parking is downhill from the property which requires you to lug your luggage and groceries up a switch back to the top of the property. We loved it and would rent again!

Beautiful house with amazing view

The property is secluded with a stunning view on the sea and the mountains. The house is of perfect size for a family of four, very well equipped and decorated with very good taste. The garden is absolutely gorgeous with a large variety of trees and plants that create the most delicious perfume of fruits and flowers and give you fresh figs and lemons. The pool is the icing on the cake and contributes to make this place perfect. All of this is definitely worth the climb. We had the most relaxing vacation and highly recommend this house to anyone who loves nature and quiet.

Beautiful, rustic villa with stunning views

We have just returned from the most wonderful weak in Banyalbufar. The villa was simply perfect. We decided not to hire a car and got a taxi to the villa from the airport - we found the property easily thanks to excellent directions. There is a fairly steep walk up to the villa but my husband, two daughters (5 & 7 years) and I managed it just fine in the dark and with all our luggage! We woke up to the most beautiful sea views, pretty gardens and refreshing pool. My husband walked down to Banyalbufar each morning to get delicious ensaïmadas for breakfast and general provisions for the day. We spent most of the time relaxing by the pool, reading in the shady gardens or eating on the terrace. Every evening we walked down to Banyalbufar and ate in a different restaurant every night - superb food and wine! We also walked down to the beach two late afternoons: the girls loved swimming in the sea and then washing off in the waterfall. It was a steep climb back up the hill but made the G&T's and drinks back at Banyalbufar all worth it! Thank you to Anne Marie for being so helpful and sharing your villa with us.

Als Erstes muss man den grandiosen Blick erwähnen. Der Sonnenaufgang ist unbeschreiblich schön.Aber das wars dann mit den positiven Dingen. Größtes Manko: Keine Klimaanlage. Das steht zwar in der Beschreibung, war uns aber nicht klar.Keine Insektengitter, nur Moskitonetze über den Betten.Leider kann man abends kaum auf der Terrasse sitzen da dort Gelsen und Kriebelmücken (mosca nigra) sind. Wir hatten jeder mehr als 100 Stiche, trotz Schutz mit Kleidung und Insektenspray.Schade. Lüften daher auch schwierig....muss man aber weil es ja keine Klima gibt ....Für mich war das Haus im Sommer nicht zumutbar, in den Nebensaison kann das anders sein.Das Haus ist alt, ständig fällt Putz von der Decke. Die Bäder sind nicht zeitgemäß.Türen lassen sich nicht schließen,... Ja, sauber ist das Haus, aber nur auf den ersten Blick. Bei genaueren Hinsehen nicht, v.a die Kochutensilien, Töpfe,..Chips untern Bett,...Leider gibts dort Schlangen, wir hatten 2x eine Begegnung.Pool: leider weit weg vom Haus. Nur 3 Liegen beim Pool. *Poolservice ist sehr nett.*Check in/ out ist unkompliziert und gut.*Kommunikation mit Vermieterin: nett und schnell.Netter kleiner Ort, aber es ist überall hin weit.Es besteht dringender Renervierungbedarf und man merkt das in das Haus nichts mehr investiert wird.Wir können das Haus nicht empfehlen und haben unseren Urlaub , auf den wir uns schon so gefreut haben, nicht genießen können.

Zeit um zur Ruhe zu kommen

Wir haben diese Zeit auf der wunderbaren Insel sehr genossen. Die auserwählte Finca auf den Terrassen von Banyalbufar mit Blick auf das Meer war ein kleines Paradies für uns. Zeit um zur Ruhe zu kommen. Wir hatten unsere Ebikes dabei um das Tramontana Gebiet zu erkunden. Traumhaft schön! Spanische Dörfer, Orte und Städte, sowie tolle Badebuchten laden zum Verweilen ein. Wir würden jederzeit wieder gerne hierher kommen.

Wenn man mit den Eigenheiten eines alten Hauses kein Problem hat ist hier alles ein Traum. Alte Türen und kleine Bäder sind dann auch kein wirkliches Problem. Alles in allem war es ein wunderschöner Aufenthalt in einer sehr ruhigen Gegend. Leider gab es im Dorf zu der zeit keine richtige Einkaufmöglichkeit.

Wer hierher kommt hat wirklich ein kleines Paradies auf Erden. Die Unterkunft ist schön abgelegen - das letzte Haus am Berg. Vom Parkplatz aus ist es etwas Fußmarsch, der sich aber lohnt. Die Unterkunft bietet alles was man für seinen Aufenthalt braucht. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war sehr angenehm. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Finke mit traumhafter Lage und wildromantischen Garten

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt. Check-in und checkout haben wunderbar geklappt. Das Bauernhaus ist mit viel Liebe renoviert und der Garten ist traumhaft wildromantisch. Die Lage ist ruhig und man bekommt von Nachbarn nichts mit. Die Aussicht ist traumhaft und man hat von morgens bis abends Sonne im Garten. Mit den vielen Bäumen, Büschen und Palmen findet sich aber immer ein schattiges Plätzchen.

écht mallorca

De perfecte plek en uitvalsbasis om het echte mallorca te beleven. We kwamen in het voorjaar waardoor het nog rustig was. Zowel het huisje als het dorp en de ruimere omgeving katapulteren je naar een authentiek sfeer die je wil meemaken.

Vielen Dank für Ihr Feedback. Wir haben bei unserem Besuch nach Ende der Saison festgestellt, dass tatsächlich einiges im Haus nicht in Ordnung war. Bei meinem letzten Besuch im August hatte ich noch ein paar kleinere Reparaturen ausführen lassen. Leider war uns nicht mitgeteilt worden., dass danach noch Schäden aufgetreten sind. Inzwischen haben wir diese Dinge in Ordnung bringen lassen und hoffen, das unsere zukünftigen Gäste das Haus in guten Zustand vorfinden.

Finca mit traumhaftem Ausblick

Der Kontakt und die Beschreibung von Raul war sehr gut Ausblick und der zauberhafte Garten waren wirklich sehr schön Der Pool wurde regelmäßig gereinigt Leider war die Reinigung im Haus miserabel wir haben tatsächlich erstmal geputzt um den Urlaub genießen zu können Da wir sehr akribisch den Müll entsorgt haben und keine Lebensmittel offen stehen gelassen haben hatten wir keine Probleme mit den Ameisen und anderem Ungeziefer Die Finca ist liebevoll wie ein kleines Museum eingerichtet Was natürlich auch in den Schlafzimmern der Fall war und nicht mit modernen Betten zu vergleichen ist Wir wussten aus den anderen Bewertungen schon das die Bäder sehr klein sind , auch das war eigentlich kein Problem aber es besteht dringender Renovierungsbedarf Preis Leistung steht in keinem Zusammenhang leider Aber wir hatten trotz allem einen zauberhaften Urlaub auf diesem tollen Fleckchen Erde

Die Bilder halten was sie versprechen

Ich wollte eine ausführliche Bewertung schreiben aber da die Zeichen hier begrenzt sind,muss ich mich kurz fassen: Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber,man konnte sich direkt wohlfühlen. Über die Flasche Wein als Begrüßung haben wir uns sehr gefreut! Vom Vorgänger war noch Eis im Kühlfach,Ketchup,Öl und weitere Dinge waren ebenfalls vorhanden.Sollte man einen Regenschirm,Sonnenhut oder Kartenspiel benötigen,so stehen auch diese Dinge zur Verfügung. Ich empfehle allerdings noch Streichhölzer/Feuerzeuge mitzubringen,da für den Gasherd nur noch wenige vom Vorgänger übrig waren. Der Ausblick ist fantastisch und auch wenn die Motorräder gerne sehr laut durch die Gemeinde rasen,so hat man ansonsten doch absolute Ruhe dort oben! Kleine Kritik: Die Bäder riechen sehr stark nach Abfluss,in einem ist ein Mini-Waschbecken,bei welchem man sich den halben Körper nass macht wenn man es benutzt. Der alte Wasserhahn quietscht und sollte mal ausgetauscht werden. Aber da es noch ein weiteres Bad gab,haben wir einfach das andere benutzt. Die Nächte im Haus sind sehr warm (bereits Ende Juni) und lüften ist fast nicht möglich,da man die Fenster tagsüber geschlossen halten sollte und nachts kein Lüftchen weht.Noch dazu überall Mücken,trotz Moskitonetz am Bett.Mein Mann hatte knapp 50 Stiche in dieser Woche gesammelt. Das Haus ist relativ dunkel,die Lampen an den Wänden geben wenig Licht ab,aber bei mehr kommen ohnehin sofort die Mücken rein.Wir haben uns dennoch sehr wohlgefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Traumhaft schön

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem kleinen Häuschen war wunderbar. Sowohl die Buchung über FeWo als auch die Kommunikation vor Ort zum Einchecken hat einwandfrei geklappt. Wir haben ein Video erhalten um den Weg zum Haus zu finden. Bei der Zufahrt sind wir trotz der Warnungen der vorigen Bewertungen erschrocken, da es recht steil hoch geht und dazu sehr sehr schmal und etwas kurvig ist. Fahranfänger sollten hier besser nicht fahren. Mit unserem kleinen Fiat 500 Mietwagen und wenn man sich langsam vortastet ist aber alles machbar. Auch breitere Autos kommen durch aber man muss sehr vorsichtig fahren. Entgegen kam zum Glück nie jemand. Das Häuschen ist für 1-4 Leute groß genug und bietet wirklich alles was man so braucht. Von Toilettenpapier über genug Handtücher bis jede Menge Gewürze ist wirklich alles da. Zu dieser Jahreszeit war es im Haus ziemlich kalt aber es liegen auch dickere Decken bereit. Den schönen und gepflegten Pool haben wir auch genutzt obwohl es recht kühl war. Einmal drin gewöhnt man sich ja dran. Auch der Ort und die Umgebung sind malerisch und die Natur grandios. Ausflüge auf Küstenstraßen neigen dazu auch mal etwas eng zu werden, ich würde immer das kleinstmögliche Auto empfehlen dann gibt es nirgends Probleme und auch beim Einparken auf so manch sehr kurzem Parkplatz läuft es einfacher. Die Menschen vor Ort waren alle sehr freundlich, im kleinen Supermarkt gibt es die notwendigsten Dinge, für größere Einkäufe fährt man am besten nach Esporles.

Was Gästen wichtig sein sollte: Wunderbare Ausblicke auf Meer und Berge; Privatheit fernab der Blicke der Nachbarn; eigener Pool mit Blick aufs Meer; Ruhe; eine antike Finca, die behutsam modernisiert ist; zum Haus passendes Mobiliar; das Gefühl, im Haus von Freunden zu wohnen; ein großes Grundstück mit schönem Garten, vielen Terrassen und Ruheplätzen; viel indirektes Licht im Haus und auf dem Grundstück; die Küche sauber zu halten, damit die Ameisen das Haus links liegen lassen; unzählige Wandermöglichkeiten direkt von der Haustür aus; sehr wenig Tourismus im Ort; Erreichbarkeit von Palma innerhalb weniger als einer Stunde (mit dem Auto, aber auch Busse fahren regelmäßig); ein authentisches Dorf in Gehreichweite mit Einkaufs- und Einkehrmöglichkeiten; kleiner Smart-TV mit Verbindung ins Internet Was Gästen nicht so wichtig sein sollte: Umfangreiche moderne Ausstattung; eine lichtdurchflutete Wohnung; große Badezimmer; touristische Shops; Blick auf Sonnenuntergänge über dem Meer im Herbst, Winter und Frühjahr (der Blick nach Westen ist nicht frei, nur im Sommer geht die Sonne im Nordwesten unter); ausgeprägtes Nachtleben im Ort; breite Zufahrt zum Haus für große Autos; Parkplatz vor der Haustür; Barrierefreiheit. Mit etwas Glück findet man Gewürze, Öl, Zucker, Salz etc. von den Vormietern vor.

Gemütliches Häuschen in toller Ausichtslage

Hervoragene Betreteung durch Verwalter, gute Restauranttios, Zufahrt zum Haus sehr eng und steil, Pool ende September schon viel im Schatten, so dass das Wasser schon sehr frisch war. Blick von der Terrasse ist ein Traum, das Haus sehr gut, gemütlich und vollständig ausgestattet. Da die 2 Bäder wirklich sehr klein und eng sind, so wie das Haus innen sehr hellhörig ist, ist das Objekt eher für ein Paar, als für 4 Personen geeignet. Zu zweit aber wirkich sehr zu emofehlen, sehr schöne Ecken im Garten und das Haus liegt sehr ruhig.

Views to die for

A lovely villa in a fabulous location, with views to die for. We loved the eclectic mix of antique furnishing and the numerous seating areas around the property. Ants...as other reviews, quite easily dealt with The small village of Banyalbufar was perfect for our needs and provided enough bars and restaurants for a stroll down the hill for supper...a little tougher going back up... lighting along the path would help. A delightful place to chill and take in the views.

Banyalbufar is a village still dominated by
a strong sense of authentic local tradition and life, surrounded by dramatic mountains and with a stunning coastline. From the house you have a wide view of the village and the sea. We like the calming simplicity of the house and the closeness to nature, even if it means that the wild goats sometimes come into the garden to drink from the pool!

What makes this property unique

Most of all the views, the garden with its shady Palm trees, the large quiet and unspoilt land that belongs to it, the total privacy, and also the interior of the house which reflects the eccentric taste of the owner who collects all kinds of old things.
