I can not help feel that we were deceived by this property. I was told that we had access to the fitness center which was probably one of the biggest attractions to this property. We did not. We were told that we had access to the common grills. There were no grills. We were only given on key, which may not seem like an issue, however, it tethered my husband and I when we were going out. We were told that there were TV's in the condo. We assumed that meant working. No that was not the case. The toilet did not work off the master bedroom. The ice machine did not work, and the entire place was filthy. The dishes and silverware were so disgusting that I had to run them through the dishwasher twice. There was a rusty old razor blade that i cut my finger on mixed in with the silverware. When I called him and he finally called me back, his response was and I quote, " I would be happy to not hear from you again with such small concerns" (Text saved). His next response was "Leave if you are not happy, but you will get no refund.". (text saved). He then called us after about an hour. He told my husband to fix the toilet himself, and argued with him that the TV's worked fine when he left that we must have done something to them. My husband explained that there was not even a cord running from the tv to the outlet. After 10 more minutes of Steve telling my husband that they were fine when he left, he finally admitted that he never had them connected. He then asked us to stay home and sign for his packages, and await the cable company coming out to fix the tv.s. I scrubbed the floors, and cleaned the refrigerator (before putting my food in), cleaned the bathrooms, (Stool crusted to the bowl), and dusted. Dust was so thick, you could write your name in it. He admitted most of this but kept saying it was because he was out of the country. Regardless, I paid a lot of money for this property and did not get what we paid for. I did reach out to him in attempt for resolution, but he stated these were all minor issues. Please advise.

I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your stay at my home. However, I feel that a majority of these issues could have been mitigated given proper communication. I do my best to be an accommodating host and resolve any problem my guests may happen to run into when staying, corroborated by my 3 year consecutive Superhost status
In regards to the fitness center and grill, the key fob could have been easily provided once requested. Prior to booking Roxi asked if there was a grill by the pool, to which I replied that I wasn’t sure, unfortunately there wasn’t. The key issue with communication could be easily fixed.
All TVs in the unit are Smart, with various streaming services and were checked before the stay to make sure they were functioning, cords were concealed within the wall for aesthetic purposes. Roxi called once, dissatisfied with the absence of cable. Unfortunately I was out of the country at the time, but the cable company was called and the problem was resolved promptly.
The toilet was tested for functionality beforehand and after not being used from some time may require turning the handle a few times, but there are no repairs needed. The guest complained about having to fix it, but upon later inspection no repairs nor modifications were made. All of the appliances are brand new and purchased within the last few weeks including the fridge, so the ice machine was not turned on, the settings just needed to be changed. It’s unfortunate that pictures weren’t taken of the described “filth”, I have never had an issue before with this and am proud to hold very clean rental properties.
As a final note, I’d like to reiterate most of the described issues could have been mediated had the guest communicated it to me. The guest only reached out to me once during the entirety of the stay (mentioned only the cable and toilet issues) and then once after they had already left to express dissatisfaction for all of the rest the described complaints.A week after they had moved out, I found a note from Roxi instructed to call her, during which call the guest demanded a portion of their money back citing the ice machine, fitness center access, cleanliness, keys, etc. I suspect this may have been done deliberately, because at that point I was unable to help resolve the issues the guest had mentioned retroactively. There is only so much I could do as I had been out of the country at the time, but assure you there was an easy fix for each issue raised.
