In the heart of a Limousin hamlet, this nineteenth-century property welcomes you in the heart of a landscape of forests and pastures. You access the cottage through its pleasure garden offering two terraces equipped with tables, deckchairs, parasols and barbecue for your meals and relax in front of the ornamental pond of the property (3000 m²). For fishermen, a second pond of 1.25ha awaits you 500 m away (see options).
The 140m² house includes on the first floor the 60m² cathedral living room which offers you a "standing table" bar area, a dining area, a reading or board games area with sofa bed and a TV lounge. In case of frost, a frying pan and a wood stove will allow you to obtain more than comfortable temperatures. The large kitchen, open to the living room, is equipped with an American refrigerator, a dishwasher, a Senseo coffee maker, a cooking piano. Adjoining the latter, a pantry with washing machine and toilet. Upstairs you will enjoy 3 bedrooms, each with a bathroom with private toilet. The beds are distributed as follows: bedroom 1: bed of 160×190 + baby bed, bedroom 2: bed of 140×190, bedroom 3: 2-seater trundle bed of 85×195 and 75×175, in the living room: a 2-seater sofa bed in 140×190. On your arrival, you will have the choice to take possession of the place in total autonomy or, if you let you know your exact time of arrival, you will be welcomed by the inhabitants of the neo-village Terra Nostra; we are 8 people who have taken over the hamlet, which was no longer inhabited, to bring it back to life. We have created food activities, restored the buildings and live on site. We receive a lot of visitors and have a passion for meeting, sharing and exchanging. We are very attentive to the preservation of the place both from an ecological point of view and from a landscape point of view, so that the eyes and the mind find rest far from the urban din. We love our countryside and are concerned that you love it too. We will be happy to have you with us, if only for a moment, and will find our satisfaction in yours.
The property is located in the Périgord-Limousin Regional Natural Park. The hilly landscape is home to medieval castles, manors and other abbeys. Deciduous forests blend harmoniously with meadows where limousines, sheep and horses graze peacefully. You are just a few minutes from the Château de Rochechouart, built in the twelfth century, which houses the Michelin-starred Museum of Contemporary Art. You can go to Chassenon (about 15 minutes) to discover the Roman baths of Cassinomagus dating from the 1st century, which are among the largest and best preserved in the Gallo-Roman world. If you are curious about a more contemporary history, the martyred town of Oradour sur Glane is less than 40 minutes away. If you are interested in the epic of Richard the Lionheart, the castle of Chalus where he was mortally wounded and the castle of Montbrun where he died, are less than 20 minutes away. You will discover other places in the documentation at your disposal. For less cultural food, an organic milk producer, a farmer baker, the hamlet's associative grocery store and two supermarkets are less than 10 minutes away. For the winter, wood consumption is billed at 15€ per log rack (about 1 to 2 days of heating). To be paid at your departure according to your consumption. We are 25 minutes from the St Junien and Bussière Gallant train stations (shuttle service possible) and 40 minutes from Limoges airport.
