About this property
Harborview Perch... spacious & open floorplan, privacy, harbor view, amenities
"Harborview Perch": comfortable & inviting with spectacular, elevated views of Boothbay Harbor!
"Harborview Perch" accommodates 6 adults very comfortably. There is a bright & spacious living room and fully outfitted cook's kitchen. Master bedroom with king-size bed and private powder room located on the first floor. There is an additional full bath also on the first level. Two other queen bedrooms and powder room are located on the second level. (Note that the property is on a somewhat elevated site and has a steep driveway and one flight of stairs up to the entry. This results in a terrific view, but may be difficult for those with limited mobility.)
This newly renovated home offers ac/heat, Wi-Fi, a 72" smart tv and outdoor BBQ. Nicely stocked with games, puzzles and books for rainy days. Parking available for up to 3 vehicles. All of this is just a one-mile scenic walk to downtown shops and restaurants in historic Boothbay Harbor.
“Harbor Perch” provides you with privacy, peace & quiet and a perfect home-base for exploring the picturesque Maine coast. Relax and enjoy the views. Watch the lobster boats and recreational boating in the harbor below. Bright and sunny....enjoy the beautiful sunrises; summer evenings are lazy and long.
Although "Harborview Perch" is new to VRBO the hosts are not. We recently sold a property in Cundy's Harbor that we rented through VRBO for the past 18 years. We earned the Premier Host badge for this property and are confident that we will earn it here in the future as well.

This is a nice location with an easy 15 minute walk to downtown Boothbay. The view is lovely from the living room and upstairs bedroom. Melissa was very responsive and helpful. Would stay here again.
What a wonderful home with a gorgeous view! Was absolutely perfect. Was able to even meet the host couple. Very friendly. Highly recommend. Everything 6 adults could want or need for out long weekend getaway.
We had a wonderful stay. Melissa and Chris have a lovely property and we’re good hosts. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Boothbay Harbor.
A lovely secluded quaint getaway. A short drive into town and a comfortable stay. We even had deer having breakfast out our bedroom window one morning what fun.
The property is perched above the harbor and you can view the water from many rooms. It’s close enough to the restaurants and shops that you can walk in about 15-20 minutes. The kitchen is well equipped. There was plenty of space to spend time together and have time to yourself. The house was very clean - I only took a star off because there was an unfinished part in one of the bedrooms. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to anyone!
The house was adorable; kids loved the interesting upstairs and adults enjoyed the downstairs master. Kitchen is large and comfortable to cook in and the hot tub was a blessing after day hiking.
Great location. Driveway and parking options are steep. Something to think about if you have young kids or strollers. Unit is listed at #69 but there are two buildings on property that make it confusing upon entry. Overall, clean and welcoming with great views.
Wanted to see the trolls at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens and explore lighthouses in the area. Great location. Enjoyed the view of the bay of Boothbay Harbor.
A great place to stay. Perfect view overlooking the harbor. Spacious and comfortable with all amenities. Rental was easy and renters were friendly and accommodating.
Everything was excellent and very smooth. The property was very clean and had everything we needed for a few days exploring Boothbay Harbor. Nothing but positive experiences.
A wonderful 16 day stay that we hated to end.
Beautiful harbor views and gracious hosts !
Well equipped kitchen, and very comfy bed.Watching the busy harbor scene is a bonus !
This home had all of the amenities that we needed for a relaxing, enjoyable week. Close to town, quiet, gracious hosts, beautiful views. There was nothing that we needed -the kitchen was well stocked for cooking, the beds comfortable, I can't say enough positive about our experience.
This was a great place to stay while we were in town for a wedding. Melissa was very easy to communicate with and answered all our questions promptly. The check in/check out process was very easy. It is a really nice house and was as nice as it looked in the listing. Plenty of room for our party of 5 that stayed there. It has a great view of the harbor as it sits in a hill. The only downside is it has a steep driveway that takes some maneuvering coming in or out. There is spaceFor three vehicles. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property. Would definitely stay there again if we were in Boothbay again.
We were there for our daughter's wedding down the road. The house was perfect for our group -- our other daughter and son-in-law along with their 18-month-old child, a brother, and us. Spacious, had everything we needed, great views. Melissa was responsive and gracious.
Had a wonderful 8 day stay over the 4th of July. The house was clean with a large kitchen including a dishwasher and all of the dishes we needed. The location was close to town for access to restaurants and activities. There is a steep driveway ... then a flight of stairs to get into the house. The half bath on the second floor is only accessible through one bedroom. The pellet grill is a little challenging and should probably have instructions. Great view of the harbor to see the fireworks. We really enjoyed it.
My family had a wonderful stay at Melissa and Chris’ Boothbay Harbour Vrbo. The main floor bedroom had the perfect little dark closet with a rocking chair for our infants pack n play. The kitchen and bathroom were well stocked with everything you would need for a comfortable stay. We stayed with 4 adults and 2 children and it never felt over crowded. It was about a 2 minute drive or 20 minute walk from the Harbour. Would definitely stay here if we ever visit the area again.
We enjoyed our stay at Harborview Perch and its proximity to town. The house was generally clean, although there were a few areas that needed maintenance. The AC system worked great. It was an unusually hot stretch for September. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils and pots and pans, but bring your own condiments.
The beds have pillow-toppers on the mattresses. The king-sized bed needs more support, in our opinion. The linens and towels were high quality, and there were plenty of them.
We really enjoyed our stay! The view of the harbor from the living room is just lovely, enjoyed with my morning coffee every day. (Good, carafe style coffee maker).Check-in was a breeze. The only (SMALL) thing is the property is shared with another house. I believe the owners live in the lower house, while the rental property is the higher house. There was an electric vehicle plugged into the rental house, so my anxious/Autistic son, was convinced we were not allowed to stay there because someone else’s car was charging there. I do wish I had given him that heads up so he could have prepared himself for it before we arrived. I only share this in case there are any other anxious renters out there The house is full of character. The beds are comfortable, and we stayed in the primary suite which is on the first floor of the house with the kitchen, shower, laundry, room, living room. There are two additional bedrooms upstairs, one with an incredible view, and one with its own separate, toilet and sink, which are still under some construction, but are totally usable. Lighting is plentiful & dimmable! The kitchen was BIG & well equipped! TV was nice, large. Air conditioning was useful during some unusually high temperatures! We drove to town every day (usually because it was a stop on our way elsewhere), but it is very walkable. My husband wished there were sheer curtains on all the windows for the option of privacy (some had no window treatments).
Loved Our Stay - Excellent Location Too (House was perfect)
Our hosts were extremely accommodating and communicative. I have had problems in the past with VBRO and hosts. Melisa was very responsive in our communications, which was so reassuring.
Melissa and Chris are new residents to Boothbay, but not to Maine. We recently relocated from Kennebunk. We enjoy boating and will often be out enjoying Boothbay Harbor and the surrounding bays and coves on our boat. As such, we may not be on site to greet guests, but will generally be available by phone to help out with any questions or resources.
Why they chose this property
Our second season of hosting at Harborview Perch and now exclusively on VRBO, we purchased this two home property in late 2021. With walking distance to downtown and our yacht club and great views over Boothbay Harbor, we could not pass up the opportunity. One quaint small Victorian for our home and a second more modern home as a VRBO rental.
