About this property

Dog friendly getaway w/ hot tub, sauna and skiing!

Year round fun at this majestic home located in Knights Hill Association. We are just 1 mile away from Pleasant Mt./Shawnee Peak and Moose Pond! After a fun filled day of hiking, skiing or swimming, you can spend the evening relaxing in our private hot tub, indoor sauna or play a family game in the game room.

Enjoy all of Knights Hill's amenities including the shared beach on Moose Pond with swimming and other water activities. There is also a large seasonal in-ground community pool, clubhouse, tennis court, picnic tables, basketball hoop, and two playgrounds.

The House:
- Lazy Moose Lodge, comfortably sleeps 10: one bedroom with a King bed, two bedrooms with Queen beds (note- the wooden bedroom does have direct access to the sauna, hot tub and outdoors), two bedrooms with two twins.
-Open concept living area with a living room and game room, allows for plenty of space to spread out.
-Kitchen is well equipped with cooking supplies, a Keurig with complimentary coffee pods and newer stainless steal appliances.
-Smart TVs in the Livingroom, game room, King bedroom and one of the queen bedrooms for you to log into your own personal streaming apps.

Things to note:

-There are 24 hour video/audio security cameras on the property (in the entryway facing front door, and on the house facing the driveway/street) . The cameras are designed to maintain your privacy while ensuring the security and safety of our home. There are also cameras around the neighborhood.
-The house is in a great central location, being about a 3 min walk to the community pool, a 3 min drive to the shared beach and a 3 min drive to the mountain.
-This is a fairly large house, but it is not to be used for parties. It is located in a family community. If you have a party you will be evicted immediately with no refund or discount.
-We try our best to make sure there is propane for the grill, but it's possible you might need to get it refilled. In this case, you can bring it to get filled, and we will reimburse you with a photo of your receipt.
-Community swimming pool is seasonal (closes early/ mid September).
-Outdoor fire pit is seasonal (Mid May to Mid October).
-We do not provide firewood or beach towels.
-You MUST have the guest pass with you to use any KHA amenities.
-AC floor units are installed in the Livingroom and game room seasonally.
-Power outages do happen and can last for a few hours. We have no control over this and there is no generator.

Strongly recommend AWD or 4WD for winter weather. We are in a mountain area.
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.

Spring ski Getaway

Great house and perfect for adults and kids! The kitchen has everything you need, the basement is so much fun for the kids and you can’t beat the hot tub and sauna after a day skiing. Great location too! We would definitely stay here again!

Lazy Moose vacation

We had a wonderful time at the Lazy Moose with our adult kids and grandchildren. The property had many amenities and everyone wished we could stay longer. Bonnie and Julien were wonderful hosts and responded quickly to all of our questions. Hopefully we'll be able to visit again in the future.

A Great Place to Spend Time with Family

Everything went smoothly and the owners were great! They responded quickly and left a binder full of any information we could have needed. Our kids had a blast using the pool, tennis courts, lake and hot tub!

Bridgeton on Moose Pond

My family had a nice vacation at this comfortable 5 bedroom cottage. My grandkids loved the community pool. The grown kids enjoyed the sauna. The hot tub, my favorite, was a great addition after a long day.

Great location, easy to find and use everything in the house. Bonnie responded to all questions immediately. We've been skiing at Shawnee/Pleasant Mountain for years, but this was our first time having access to a hot tub. It really made the trip super special for the kids. They loved the game room too!!! Highly recommend.

Maine Getaway

House was clean and as pictured. It was very neat and organized. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and sauna and enjoyed playing arcade games and pool. Plenty of room for us all to gather and watch movies on the rainy nights. Only thing was the deck stairs were slippery. I’m sure from the rain and mildew but we really had an enjoyable time at the Lazy Moose Lodge

Family celebration

This property felt homey right away. The kitchen was spotless and well equipped. The details like soap pumps, laundry detergent, lots of towels, puppy poo bags, & marshmallow roasting sticks were much appreciated. The big screened in porch and all the family games were enjoyed by all. The grill, hot tub & sauna all worked great! The local pool and beach was a lot of fun too. The property manager communicated promptly.

Pre-summer get-away

beautiful place! Positives: Hot tub! Fire Pit! New Grill! New appliances! Best stocked kitchen at a VRBO facility ever! Pool amazing! Pool Table! Air Hockey! Tennis rackets! Plenty of towels for hot tub! Washer/Dryer! All amazing! Beds were ok. Screened in porch was very dusty could use a really deep cleaning-house was okay clean, but could use a really deep cleaning. Windows need to be replaced. Basement was very musty, but we brought an air purifier and that helped! I would recommend a mini fridge for drinks downstairs, that would be helpful. Over all very nice stay! 5 bedrooms was great, everyone had their own room. Maybe TV's in the other bedrooms would be nice especially for kids. Trash bags were scented which I struggled with as I am highly sensitive to scents, maybe eliminate those. Lots of cleaning supplies which was great! Vacuum, broom, etc. Very nice as I like to clean while staying. We would go back! Thank you for all the small details you took care of, lots of board games as well!

The house was very well stocked for cooking, which we always do. The hosts thought of things that are usually not there with most rentals. The hot tub was great, as was the short walk to the pool.

Great Home for Family and Pets

Wonderful place to stay. It was very accommidating for our extended family of 10. Plenty of sleeping and entertaining space. Sauna and hot tub a definate plus. We would recommend to anyone. Hosts were very responsive to any questions we had withing minutes (although we only had a few) they also gave recomondations of local happenings. We would definately book again.
