Park Cabana is located in a peaceful beach community. Perfect for family vacations or relaxing with friends. Not intended for loud & rowdy girls/guys trips.

5 bedrooms, 4 full baths, a heated/cooled Cabana, oversized Hot tub and a massive, fenced yard. Three full floors of living plus 4 outdoor decks & patio will allow you to gather friends and family for an unforgettable get-away.
--- The main level will invite you in with soaring wood paneled ceilings, a spacious living/dining area (dining for 10 here), a well-appointed kitchen, pantry, one queen bedroom & full bath. In addition, this level has access to the garage, a mudroom and the amazing Cabana. The Cabana really is the star of the show! It features a custom full glass overhead door to bring the outside in. One push of a button and you’re feeling the lake breeze. Enjoy a selfie with your friends against the tropical mural before stepping out for a dip in the hot tub. Enjoy the natural beauty of the Indiana Dunes as you soak your cares away.
--- 2 steps down from the kitchen will bring you to the formal dining room with seating for 6. This adorable seating area features more tropical inspired décor and an upholstered banquette. Another ½ flight down brings you to the lower level, featuring two queen bedrooms, a full bath and rec room. Challenge your friends to a game of foosball or just relax for a movie. Also on this level is a utility room (laundry, an additional stove & fridge/freezer).
--- Head back upstairs and stop for a quick surprise kid’s nook, cleverly hidden under the stairs. Designed by the owner’s kids themselves- who doesn’t love a good fort! Continue up the stairs to the 2nd level. This level features an additional queen bedroom with its own private deck overlooking Washington Park & Lake Michigan. The final bedroom is a dream come true. The massive bunk room features 4 full-size built-in beds & 2 queen beds; all with their own reading light, charging niche, and under bed drawers. Two full bathrooms with designer finishes round out this level.
--- Continue up the stairs to the viewing tower. This intimate spot will give you a birds-eye view of the Park, Lake Michigan and Sheridan Beach. The sunsets will take your breath away.
--- Park Cabana is perfectly situated across from historic Washington Park. Here you can enjoy strolls, playgrounds, the Zoo, even community band concerts. A quick stroll through the park will bring you to the beach access path. Beach towels, chairs, a beach cart, and some toys are all available for your use. Also, extremely close by are the Lighthouse Place Outlet Mall, Blue Chip Casino and quaint downtown Michigan City.
Outdoor security cameras + a decibel monitoring device are in use on the property.

Great house just a few blocks off Lake Michigan. Perfect for a girls gathering.

Clean and plenty of space. Having 4 bathrooms for our group (11 girls) was perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

Great location for the Lake!?

Very nice property for a large group (7 adults 4 children). Plenty of room and ample bathrooms. Owners were particularly thoughtful to allow us to borrow beach chairs and wagon. Those helped tremendously to get our large family to the beach and back.

We really enjoyed the uniqueness of the house. It had different areas to gather in. So many nice size bedrooms. The hidden room under the stairs was a nice area for my 12-year-old grandson to escape to for alone time from his 5-year-old girl cousins. LOL

Amazing House and entertainment space!

Our stay was awesome! We had 15 of our extended family members and there was more than enough space along with a great outdoor hangout area for us all to spend time together. The proximity to the beach was ideal as well as all the local amenities. The owners were so kind and helpful the entire time as well. We will be back!

Terrific home and lovely stay!

This was a perfect property for our extended family getaway! Pictures very accurately depict the lovely property. Everything was clean and well-appointed, and the hosts were very responsive. Great hang-out home with a close walk down the road to a beautiful beach. The beach is prettier and more accessible than New Buffalo and Union Pier, in my opinion. We hope to make it back soon!

Park Cabana

My family and I enjoyed our stay tremendously. The house was beautiful, clean and well-equipped. The location is perfect…an easy walk to the beach (the host provides beach chairs, umbrella, and beach wagon which made our day at the beach even more enjoyable). The cabana is delightful! It extends the outdoor area beautifully, and is a great place to hang out even if the weather isn’t perfect. We can’t wait to come back!

There were enough beds for everone to sleep in. We have 16 in our family. The cozy place under the steps was referred to as the "cousins closet". The kids thought it was very special. We throughly enjoyed the cabana room with the garage door to the outside. Fond memories were made. Highly recommend.

Great location/Beautiful beach

The house was a perfect size for our family of 12, including 7 adults, 3 teenagers, & 2 babies. Plenty of sleeping space…we had 4 beds to spare. The hot tub was nice to use each evening and was cleaned at least 3 times during our 5 day stay…very nice. Access to Lake Michigan & the zoo was a short 5-10 minute walk. We couldn’t believe how clean the beach was and how clear the water was. We got a week with the temps in the 80’s …the water was very refreshing and not as cold as we anticipated. Jenelle was quick to remedy a situation within the cabana, which we appreciated. In addition to the beach and zoo, we would recommend eating at Matey’s (by the drawbridge), Dune Billy’s (excellent breakfast!), Sunset Grille (the rooftop bar by the pier), & Cool Runnings (looks run down but very good Jamaican food!).

Wonderful Stay!

We loved our time at Jenelle and Djimitri's place! The location is beautiful and quiet and a short walk from a really nice beach. We're a family group of 14 and it's tough for us to find a place that accommodates all of us comfortably, but we felt like we hit the jackpot this year. The kids' bedroom was the perfect size, and they especially loved the hot tub and the fire pit (the adults loved the outdoor shower that kept the kids from tracking in sand all over the house). The biggest hit was probably the cabana room, where we played games and watched movies. Again, it can be tough to find places that can fit all of us comfortably, so having an all-purpose room like the cabana is a huge plus. Finally, communicating with Jenelle was super easy and pleasant. I texted her when we arrived to let her know that we couldn't find extra dishcloths, and she immediately ordered more for next-day delivery. I have not dealt with many hosts who have been that quick and helpful in responding. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful family escape

Just spent a long family weekend celebrating an 80th birthday in this amazing home. It is designed perfectly to accommodate a large group with plenty of sleeping space and areas to gather as a large group inside or outside, and still find escape areas for solitude also. Wonderful amenities, wonderful location, very comfortable and clean. Cabana and firepit area in backyard provided great area for family to gather- even in fall weather. Owners have thought of so many little details to make it feel like a home with very good directions on how to use and maintain all the amenities. Our group of twelve ranged in age from 11 to 80 and everyone loved the space and slept comfortably. Many are already talking of when we can come back and stay in this wonderful home again.

Absolutely Amazing!!!

This was the best place we have ever stayed. We had 7 children and 9 adults and all of us totally enjoyed our stay. The house was large with many kid friendly touches--including the bunk room and the understairs "fort". And all of us took advantage of the look-out room at the top of the house. Excellent place to read or just look at the lake. It was nicely decorated, well furnished and EXTREMELY clean. It was the best supplied house we have ever rented--toilet paper, soap, shampoo, dish detergent etc. As advertised, it was a short walk to an uncrowded beach on Lake Michigan. We LOVED the Cabana room and that became the gathering spot to play games, watch a movie or just sit and visit. The outdoor shower was a great bonus--we were able to rinse off the children before they came inside. The balcony off the living area was a great place to have a meal. And the kids claimed the table on the level below the kitchen as the "kids table". Plenty of bathrooms and bedrooms for everyone to have a private space. S'mores were a big hit using the gas firepit and we were able to open the Cabana Room to flow to the outside. The owners were very welcoming and responsive to our questions. We cannot say enough good things about this property. Everyone in the family asked to come back next year.

Perfect Family Vacation

The house is well-designed and appointed for indoor and outdoor activities. Most important for our group - it has a variety of spaces for simultaneously playing games, reading, watching movies in the cabana, or basking in the hot tub. Walkable to Lake Michigan, we enjoyed the wide, sandy beach and strolled along the embarcadero to the lighthouse. For cooks, the kitchen amenities are great. Last, but certainly not least, as the host of a family group of 10, I appreciated the responsiveness and graciousness of the owners.

Amazing property!

My friends and I rented this house for Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time! The house was immaculate, there was plenty of space for everyone, the indoor/outdoor spaces were all lovely, and it was just a 5 min walk to the beach. Everything in the kitchen was also well labeled/easy to find when cooking meals for the group. The hosts were so kind and welcoming, and responded promptly to all of our questions/communications. Would definitely recommend this house to any group looking for a fun and pleasant weekend getaway!

Beautiful property!

We loved this property! It was very clean, well-maintained, and spacious. In the room with the 6 beds, each nook had its own light, storage, outlet to charge phone, and shelf. The cabana was a great place to hang out with our group. We had a group of 10 and it never felt crowded. We had plenty of space. The sound did not travel throughout the house so when people went to sleep earlier they were not kept up by loud talking of others. We were within walking distance to the zoo, beach, a breakfast place, and restaurant. When we had questions and messaged the owners, they responded promptly. I’d highly recommend this property!
