Gestalt Villa is situated on the private, gated peninsular estate of Steele Point which is located on the most western tip of Tortola. You will experience tropical wonder as the Gestalt villa is nestled in lush gardens, flowering hibiscus and an abundance of palms on this exclusive 8 acre estate. Your Mediterranean-style villa, includes four smartly appointed air conditioned master suites each with a private outdoor shower. An architectural masterpiece, Gestalt villa provides simultaneous views of both the Atlantic ocean and Caribbean sea.

Over 100 feet above sea level, this unique and totally private villa will afford you alfresco living at its finest. You will notice the villa's charm the moment you walk down the stone walkway through a flowering garden courtyard, surrounded by lofty palm trees and serene ocean views.

The new, custom designed gourmet kitchen features beautiful teak cabinets, ice maker, wine cabinet, beverage cooler, gas range all by high end appliance manufacturers - Sub-Zero, Miele, Bosch. If you enjoying grilling you will like cooking on the large gas grill located right outside the kitchen door.

Gestalt is masterfully designed to combine maximum livability with unparalleled privacy. Here you can experience incredible sunsets, relaxation, romance and fun with family and friends. A wonderful villa for children and adults of all ages.

The Gestalt villa is located on the Steele Point peninsula which is one of the many headlands that make up the Sir Francis Drake Channel. Beyond the channel is picturesque St. John however, the view from Gestalt is of the 7,000+ acres of undeveloped National Park. If the aforementioned views were not enough, from Gestalt you can also see BVI National Parks, Great Thatch Island, Sandy Cay, and Sandy Spit along with eight other islands. Furthermore being part of the Steele Point Estate this villa is directly in the center of not just the USVI or BVI, but all the Virgin Islands. Everything wonderful that the Virgin Islands has to offer is equidistant and easily accessible. Lastly, because the peninsula is a gated estate you have the privacy of a private island, but the convenience of being on BVI's main island.

Great Stay in Tortola

Great Villa

Visited with a new born and another couple. Great, secluded location up the point ; only minutes from the Marina. House was in Impeccable shape. Perfect for a quiet week. Great indoor/outdoor living.

Gestalt alfresco--breathtakingly beautiful, kind and soulful!

Wonderful staff, concierge, and owners, who made us feel so at home, welcomed and cared for from the beginning until our departure! Photos cannot capture the spatial depth of beauty of Gestalt Villa! We hosted several meals for our extended family, 12 persons in all, and there was space for all at table and social spaces and pool made the a joy! Some of our family spent the week on a Moorings bareboat 4200, and being so close to Sopers Hole in the West End of Tortola made the shared experience of sailing and having a villa such a joy! Every request was responded to promptly. Wonderful in every way!

Absolutely Beautiful

The house has a beautiful layout with a number of spaces where one could have some personal space. The views were excellent in every directions. We enjoyed the parade of boats coming and going from Soper’s Hole. The market at Soper’s Hole was convenient down a rough road. But, there were nice restaurants and a great little coffee shop. I could go on, but this is a fabulous home in an absolutely beautiful location.

Gestalt Villa is wonderful. The house is has a unique feel, with plenty of indoor/outdoor living. The kitchen is well stocked with everything one might need for cooking. The views our amazing - we loved watching the boat traffic coming and going from Sopers Hole on one side, and Jost Van Dyck on the other side. Beds and bedrooms were very comfortable, with quality bedding. The bathrooms were gorgeous, and creatively designed - nothing like showering under the sun or stars while gazing at the views! Both Charmaine and Astley couldn't have been more helpful or friendly.

Amazing Property!

The property was simply amazing - an architectural masterpiece that emphasizes the panoramic and wonderful views in all directions. The outdoor living spaces are perfect for the setting - elevated and serene, comfortable and relaxing. The pool is perfection, allowing privacy, but with endless views. Bedrooms were comfortable with interesting outdoor shower configurations (even most of the bathrooms have great views!) The property is "behind the gates" at the Steele Estate, giving a sense of security and privacy. The kitchen had everything we needed. This was truly a five star experience. We certainly hope to be able to return!

Amazing.

What an amazing villa. The location is truly exceptional, ocean views in every direction. The open air living spaces are one of a kind. We went in the summer and didn't find it too hot being outside at all, there are multiple ceiling fans and a nice breeze. There is still plenty of cover for the occasional rain shower and it was actually very relaxing sitting out during the rain. The A/C in the bedrooms was perfect for sleeping. The on-island caretaker was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The location is remote and the road a little rough, 4wd pretty much required for access. Soper's Hole is a short drive and has about anything you may need. We had a great stay, perfect island get-away!

Stunning!

Gestalt Villa is incredible. Everywhere you look, water views. Our group of two families included 4 adults and 4 kids age 9 - 12. We loved the villa. The cleaning crew does a FANTASTIC job, the caretaker is responsive and helpful, and the owner provided us with all of the island information that we needed. Highly recommend! There are a few things to be aware of: the property is entirely open other than the bedrooms. So, yes, there are bugs. You cannot leave a crumb or the bugs find it, and at night they will, of course, swarm the lights - including the TV. This is just a facet you have to deal with. You need an SUV, do not rent a regular car. The road to get to Steele Point is unpaved and steep. That said, the location is perfect. So close to Soper's Hole and the West End Ferry! It was very easy 20 minute ferry to Jost Van Dyke, and very close if you opt to do a day on a boat. Smuggler's Cove is the closest beach and it is amazing.

A Holiday in Paradise

A grand villa set among lush landscaping and beautiful 270 degree views of the water, yachts and islands. A great home in which to enjoy cooking, dining and entertaining in the peace and quietness of the secluded property.

Perfect vacation!!

The property manager was very responsive from the time we booked the trip. She helped recommend car rental, boat rental and a personal chef to cook at the property. The property was a little difficult to find initially because the entrance road is dirt/gravel and a fairly steep grade. But once we arrived we were very pleased. The property is gated and well-kept. The view is outstanding from sunrise to sunset (the pictures don’t do it justice). Bugs can be difficult for about 30 minutes at sunrise and sunset so make sure you pack some bug spray. The rooms were very clean and beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to feel at home. Our personal chef brought requested groceries and went above and beyond to please our party. We had an excellent stay and it was very difficult to leave! I hope to return soon!

AMAZING!

This is my 3rd time staying at the Steele Point estate, and every time it gets better and better. They've rebuilt from the storm, and the house looked amazing. The view is the best in the world and it is truly as peaceful as it gets!

A really enchanting property!

This is an exceptional property. The house is stunning. It is beautifully furnished and maintained, and perfectly set up for indoor/outdoor living. Yet it is very private, surrounded by lovely tropical plantings, with fabulous views from almost every room and from the generous pool deck. We loved the wonderful sunsets every evening, and our stay more than met our expectations. Tortola has had a difficult time recovering from devastation by Hurricanes Irma and Maria, but don’t be put off. This property has been completely restored and is truly gorgeous,. There are lots of new restaurants and shops opening up nearby and around the Island. We would absolutely recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy and unforgettable stay in the BVIs.

Just what we hoped for

Entirely satisfactory: peace and quiet, with a 270° view that offered continual interest during the day, with some of the world's finest yachts passing by, and glorious sunsets every evening. The house is spectacular, and comfortably furnished for indoor/outdoor living, with all the amenities you would expect in such a property. Irena is charming, and she and her staff made sure we had what we needed.

Beautiful and relaxing!

This property is absolutely beautiful, but the private dock was my favorite part. There was adequate space to sit under shade and talk with friends as well as the ability to easily jump into the beautiful water to cool off. The views from the house are magnificent and the outside showers fantastic. We had a wonderful time!

Perfect home for a perfect island!

We stayed at Gestalt at Steele point for a week at the beginning of March. We were two couples with two children each and the house was perfect for us. The bedrooms were spacious and clean, the beds were so comfortable (especially the pillows!) and the bathrooms were like none you will ever see again. Imagine an outdoor shower that looks out onto the most beautiful harbor/mountain view you've ever seen. We loved watching the boats go in and out while making meals in the gourmet, well-stocked kitchen. The staff is friendly and helpful and Irina has the best recommendations for things to do on the island. We can't wait to return!

Amazing

This house was amazing - the pictures don't do it justice and my words certainly won't either. All of the living spaces are open-air with gentle breezes and incredible views. The comfortable bedrooms can be closed off and air-conditioned if needed. The outdoor bathrooms are perfection and the gourmet kitchen was well-equipped. We were 4 couples and this house couldn't have worked better for us. We spent the majority of our time there because it was hard to find a more beautiful setting. I would recommend this house to anyone - it's gorgeous, convenient to the West End ferry terminal, a grocery store and marina in Soper's Hole, and an incredible beach at Smuggler's Cove, and Irina (the owner) answered any and all questions quickly and happily. We were well taken care of and we will be returning!

In 1968 Irene and her husband Stuart honeymooned on St. John in the US Virgin Islands. The rest is history... In the early 80's they introduced their young children to not just St. John but the US and British Virgin Islands. Although the dream was to move to St. John and begin a new life in paradise, it was not until 2000 that Irene, and her daughter Christine, and son Justin, together purchased the 8 acre peninsular estate known as Steele Point.

Why they chose this property

Steele Point Estate is perhaps one of the most unique, and stunningly picturesque, properties anywhere in the world. The property encompasses the entire Western Peninsula of the Island of Tortola. The estate is exclusively private, with four homes, all with magnificent views and unique tropical open architectural styles. Quite simply it was a most intriguing opportunity for the family to own not just a piece of paradise in the British Virgin Islands, but also one of the most impressive properties anywhere in the world.
