Cabin Fever is located 10 minutes from West Jefferson and 25 minutes from Boone. It sleeps 6 people comfortably with 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths. The master and guest bedrooms are upstairs and one guest bedroom downstairs (den). We have the cabin stocked with games for kids to play inside and out - board games, Wii video game system, paddle ball, and cornhole for the kids! Cabin has 2 DVD players, a VCR, and Cable/Satellite with 100+ channels including HBO, Cinemax, Encore and Starz.

Enjoy the peaceful mountain life in a rustic log cabin with all the modern comforts. This authentic log cabin was built in 1994 with reclaimed logs. Enjoy the serenity of sitting in front of the fire of the gas logs or listening to the stream as you rock on the decks and porches.

The living room is furnished with comfortable seating, a large flat screen TV, DVD player, VCR, Stereo and full cable with premium channels. The beautiful kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances.

Upstairs you will find the Master and Second bedrooms, and a full bathroom. The Master has a queen bed, wall-mounted flat-screen TV and DVD player. Second bedroom has a queen bed and a small flat-screen TV. The downstairs bedroom/den has a twin daybed with a twin trundle, and a flat screen TV. All TV's have premium cable channels. The comfortably appointed living area also provides a queen sleeper sofa, which sleeps two. A full bath is located upstairs and there is also one downstairs. The downstairs bathroom has a laundry center (washer, dryer, ironing) for your convenience. The cabin also has WI-FI for all of your devices.

The front porch has plenty of rocking chairs and other seating to listen to the creek. A gas grill is provided for outdoor cooking and is located on the back deck. There is a firepit on the property for telling stories, roasting marshmallows or making s'mores!

This cabin is nestled in a vale located just minutes away from West Jefferson and Todd and is about a 30 minute drive to Boone and Blowing Rock. Enjoy being close to attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, ski resorts, the New River, the Ben Long Frescoes, and the Ashe County Cheese Factory. This cabin is easily accessible in all seasons located just off of scenic Hwy 194. Beech Mountain has a free sledding hill that is available all winter long.

The cabin is easily accessible by all types of vehicles... four-wheel drive is NOT necessary. It is located on a level, paved road and has a level driveway. Even in the winter months with ice and snow, the roads are prepped, salted and plowed on a regular basis. Our family has been to the cabin with our 2WD mini-van in excessive snow/winter conditions and has had no trouble whatsoever accessing the cabin.

Please be advised that there is NO landline telephone at our cabin. Verizon cell service works in the cabin and throughout the surrounding area with 100% coverage. Other cell service companies may or may not work at the cabin, depends on your carrier.

Owners will consider monthly rentals, contact us for rates. Dogs are considered on a case by case basis. Sorry, but we do not allow large dog breeds or cats.

Check in time is 4pm. Check out time is 10am. These times are set for every reservation unless permission has been given in advance.

Awesome stay! Warm and cozy. . . the log cabin and the decor were beautiful. We were there in December and really enjoyed the gas fireplace, ceiling heaters in the bathrooms and the little “fireplace” space heaters in two of the bedrooms, as well as the very nice outdoor fire pit. There was lots of entertainment available with books/games/Wii/X-box/DVD player and TV’s in every room. The kitchen was supplied with everything we needed and had high quality appliances and a well stocked coffee area. This was a perfect small open concept cabin that allowed for much family togetherness with our adult kids and their golden retriever. You could also always retreat to your well appointed bedroom for some quiet time whenever needed. Host communication was excellent . . she and her husband responded quickly and went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay incredible! Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Cabin

Perfect mountain get away for my family! Great location. The cabin is private somewhat secluded but close to everything! The cabin is so well equipped and clean there was not a need to contact the owner April. I did reach out to ask a question about checking out. She answered within 5 minutes. It is obvious she takes pride in her cabin and cares about the renters.

Nice place with lots of wildlife

This cabin was very nice and quiet. The owner is very responsive and quick to respond. Lots of wildlife in the area and had deer in the yard every night. Also loved watching the hummingbirds on the front porch every day. 5 minutes to West Jefferson, 15 minutes to Boone. We loved our stay and would recommend this cabin to our friends and family.

We rented this cabin for a family gathering prior to our son moving overseas. Everyone was impressed by the furnishings, super well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and charming creek across the road. Beautifully decorated; not what we're used to seeing in a rental cabin. The owners were great to work with, accommodating and available. It was a wonderful and relaxed home-away-from- home. Just what we'd hoped for at this family get-together. We plan to return!

We loved Cabin Fever in Todd! It was more then we expected. It had everything and more. It was cozy,clean, organized and supplied with whever you needed. You can tell the owners care about the cabin and want their renters to feel like it is home away from home. We felt like it was our home and made sure it was left in the same condition we found it in. It's location was important to us so that we could experience Fly Fishing for the first time and go to different locations and come back to the quiet of the cabin and its babbling brook across the street. Fantastic getaway

We very much enjoyed our stay at Cabin Fever. Nice location, snuggled in by the creek. The cabin is cozy and clean, plenty of blankets to snuggle on the couch, but really no need since the little stove in the main room easily heats the whole house. Kitchen was very tidy and well equipped, knives and everything. The oven is like magic; preheats in no time at all! The beds were all comfortable. Our teenage twins very much enjoyed their own 'private suite' in the den. We loved Cabin Fever, and look forward to another visit in the future. Thank you, April, for sharing your home with us!

New Years

Small but very well kept cabin, with great taste. Very comfortable kitchen with all the gadgets you might need. Cozy and pretty. Location wise excellent. Close to Boone, Blowing rock, sugar mountain. We had the treat of having a winter storm while our stay and they clean the streets immediately. Very nice get away to recharge and enjoy the beauty of nature.

Log Cabin Getaway

The Cabin was perfect for 2 couples and a dog for a long weekend getaway. Front porch is surrounded by bushes so you are not exposed to the street. The creek across the street provides a peaceful running water sound. Nice fire pit. Great hiking and biking nearby.

This cabin is amazing! The beds were so comfortable and the kitchen beyond excellent! We cooked every night and enjoyed the fire pit as well. The location couldn’t be more perfect. Just close enough to Boone but away from it all so you can truly relax. It was really cold outside but inside the cabin you’d never know, bc of the warm fire burning stove! Neighbors were very friendly as well! Would stay here again hands down!

Great NC mountain getaway

Stayed here Christmas week with our adult kids. Cozy cabin with a terrific, extremely well-stocked kitchen. We cooked all of our holiday meals and had all the pots, pans, utensils and tableware that we needed. We planned to stay close to Boone but ended up here, closer to West Jefferson. However, after seeing both towns, we actually liked West Jefferson better! There's a brand new grocery store, a beautiful, quaint downtown filled with shops and restaurants, all only 10 minutes away. We had our dogs with us, and it was delightful walking around the neighborhood, especially at night when the stars were out. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone looking for a mountain retreat getaway.

Fun at Cabin Fever

The cabin was delightful and our grandsons loved the bear theme throughout. Cabin was fully stocked with accessories needed. Grocery store was relatively close. Although there was a wonderful gas stove, we cooked most of our meals outside over the fire pit. The propane stove/fireplace kept the entire cabin warm and we didn’t need the extra heaters provided. We enjoyed playing games and puzzles provided. It was a great get-a-way for the 6 of us — ages 4 to 70 😁. Easy access and good communications with the owner with good info provided re wi-fi, TVs, Wii game and DVD.

Very clean,comfy, and accommodating. Particularly nice kitchen and furnishings. Appreciated the very easy roads to the cabin..Only thing we personally missed was a mountain view and master bedroom on main floor. Looking for cleanliness , easy accessability , and privacy this is the cabin to choose.

What a perfect stay we had! The perfect balance of rustic and modern. We enjoyed Cabin Fever so much and hope to stay again soon! Cabin is exactly as described and stocked well. We thoroughly enjoyed the fire pit and watching the deer. April was super helpful and very accommodating to us. 5 stars all the way from our family of four!
