Snow/ice can obstruct safe use of the driveway when guests are occupying the home and the possibility exists for guests being unable to leave the property until conditions improve. As such, all guests should bring extra food, water, warm clothing, or other supplies deemed necessary in the event they may have to remain in the home with or without electricity. There is a gas fireplace that can be used as a supplemental heat source and a gas grill that can be used outside for cooking. If a snow/adverse weather event could occur, it is the sole responsibility of the guest to determine if they choose to use the property. Any request to cancel a booking will need to be placed through VRBO and will be considered based on their policies for such events.
To allow for adequate time to prepare for the next guest, checkout is 10:00am. Guests remaining past this time will be assessed $50/hour plus any loss incurred due to refunds to the next guest related to the delay in checkout if prior approval for a delayed checkout has not been obtained.
Please be respectful of the property and the neighbors. We ask only one simple thing. Please treat our home and neighbors the same as you would expect us to treat yours. Thank you for staying at Cora's Cozy Cabin.

About the host
Hosted by Dennis Golden
My sons and I have been going to Boone for many years to enjoy the skiing and many other outdoor opportunities that are available in the area. Recently, one of my sons decided to attend Appalachian State University for graduate studies resulting in an more permanent attachment for all of us to the area. We really enjoy Boone and all the outdoor and university-associated opportunities it has to offer.
Why they chose this property
This home is the ideal setting for a family, two couples traveling together, or a romantic getaway for two. It offers a quiet secluded location with many amenities to make your stay more comfortable. Use it as your place of rest after a full day of outdoor activity or as a place to just relax with friends and family. The kitchen and dining areas allow for everything from a quick snack to preparing full dinners that can be enjoyed while watching beautiful sunsets from the deck.
Also, we love animals and, if it remains possible to do so, want to provide a comfortable place for guests to stay while traveling with their dogs.
Our goal is for you to enjoy our home as much as you enjoy your visit to the area.
