In every season, the holiday house by the pond offers relaxation and a magical ambience for your vacation days. Our spacious and lovingly furnished apartment is located in a restored Belgian farmhouse with a view of the border triangle (B / NL / D) and the Hombourger pastureland in a scenic location. The separate living unit offers a view of the garden and the swimming pond.
Aux deux Bouleaux is located in the Ardennes bleues in the region of the tri-border region of Belgium - Netherlands - Germany, a popular holiday area for those seeking relaxation and city travelers alike.
The lovingly furnished stone house extends over 2 floors with a large living area, open kitchen, bathroom and two bedrooms on the upper floor. On the ground floor, sliding doors bring summer into the house and offer an enchanting view of the swimming pond in every season. A pellet stove and the cozy seating area ensure pleasant hours in the evening. The open kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher and all accessories. The high-quality equipment with French terracotta tiles, marble mosaic tiles in the bathroom, the oak parquet in the 2 bedrooms and the selected furnishings with comfortable box spring beds ensure a pleasant stay and restful sleep.
Hombourg is a 1200 soul village and is picturesquely situated on the ridge between Gulp and Göhl. Bakery, grocery store, pharmacy, the brasserie 'Au Grain D'Orge' and 1 restaurant are located in the center of the village around the church. Aachen, Maastricht and Liège are attractive excursion destinations with their individual urban flair. Here you can experience a piece of Europe with its cultural diversity, the three languages German, French and Dutch and the typical regional cuisine. Walking and cycling are possible from the house.

A lovely place to stay, well furnished and in a beautiful setting. There was a cosy pub up the road and plenty of towns and cities within driving distance. One thing to be mindful of is the winding, tiled stairs as older/less mobile people would need to use them carefully.

Als Wiederholungstäter haben sich meine Eindrücke vom Vorjahr bestätigt. Tolle Räumlichkeiten, die schon beim betreten ein Gefühl der Entspannung vermitteln. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war sehr angenehm. Wer gerne mit dem Rad unterwegs ist, findet viele ruhige Straßen. Egal in welche Richtung man fährt.

Eine wunderbare Woche

Nachdem meine sich meine Anreise etwas verspätet hatte, wurde ich trotzdem freundlich und angenehm begrüßt. Das Begrüßungsgespräch war ebenfalls sehr angenehm und ausführlich. Die Räumlichkeiten bestätigten den angenehmen Charm, den die Internetpräsentation versprach. Alle Räume waren in bestem Zustand. Der Garten mit Teich, schaffte zusätzlich eine Atmosphäre, die zur Entspannung einlud. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war stehts angenehm. Die Umgebung eignete sich bestens zum Radfahren. Alles in allem eine wunderbare Woche.

The house and surrounding area are beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed listening to the frogs in the pond and enjoyed the visits from the residence cats. The house has everything you might need and the hosts are very helpful.
